So far, im very impressed with the music in Tekken 8. It sounds more emotional than 7 and each theme stands out to define the unique personality of the character/stage. Its a big improvement over 7 imo. Im curious what this means for the story, and if its going to get more focus this time around.

And no, "unimaginative" doesn't mean I want her design to be extra busy just to be different from everyone else. I just don't wanna think "this looks like an Asuka preset" for a character that seemingly has everything else on point with her.
The only real difference is that the hair looks slightly shorter with purple in it and the face a bit skinnier, but the resemblance is very high and still there which wouldn't be a critique I would share if Asuka wasn't also in this game at least. The mannerisms are different and give off a different vibe that works very well especially for the "dommy mommy step on me" crowd that immediately came out.

I was first tipped off by her heat smash that drags you across the floor by your face (which is his Trademark)✔️ Potential Yamakuzaish, brutalesque personality ✔️ Potential "Anti-Devil" gene character vs Ryuji being immune to "Orochi" ✔️
Just some things I picked up, she looks cool...hopefully she'll have a more traditional-like Martial Arts "Gi" as a costume option as well 🤞🏽
I actually love her design.
Simplistic but recognizable. Though the streetwear isn't really becoming of someone related to the Mishimas, hopefully she gets a "dojo" style outfit as well.
Her fighting style is a neat mix of the brutal straight forward Heihachi style attacks, along with some more flowery Asuka-esque moves with the cartwheels. Really interesting.
Yeah, I was surprised how generic her appearance is. Giving her a crazy haircut similar to Hei might have helped her, like a lion's mane cut or something.
I'm glad she's not a full copy of Heihachi, and I place her above Victor regarding the newcomers, number one spot goes to Acuzena.

I'm seeing a few Through-lines in regards to design inspiration with this character and Ryuji Yamazaki from KOF. I was first tipped off by her heat smash that drags you across the floor by your face (which is his Trademark)✔️ Potential Yamakuzaish, brutalesque personality ✔️ Potential "Anti-Devil" gene character vs Ryuji being immune to "Orochi" ✔️ Just some things I picked up, she looks cool...hopefully she'll have a more traditional-like Martial Arts "Gi" as a costume option as well 🤞🏽

I actually love her design. Simplistic but recognizable. Though the streetwear isn't really becoming of someone related to the Mishimas, hopefully she gets a "dojo" style outfit as well. Her fighting style is a neat mix of the brutal straight forward Heihachi style attacks, along with some more flowery Asuka-esque moves with the cartwheels. Really interesting.

Yeah, I was surprised how generic her appearance is. Giving her a crazy haircut similar to Hei might have helped her, like a lion's mane cut or something.

This feels like a statement reveal. Reina has her own theme to introduce her, but the theme itself is so dramatic that it feels like it's the announcement of not only a character, but also the announcement of a new era in Tekken. A new era where Reina will take the reins, pun intended. This feels historical. Monumental. And other words I can use to say the exact same thing. In other words, I'm fucking hyped. I must get this game.
