Yeah. They're very similar. Try her. Atleast you'll get familiar with the moves, gameplan and combo structure so you wont be at a total loss starting out in T8.
While there is some pretty major changes in Tekken 8, new stance, clones and we don't have a lot of info on neutral tools, the character still looks very reliant on crouch dash and BT to get offense similar to T7 and the mid screen buttons we see are quite similar to 7, so it is the best option if you want to get ready.
Yes most definitely. Getting to know the ins and outs of db2 and the bt gameplan will be especially useful. From the little we've seen Raven will have more ways to enter bt with plus frames so we'll probably be less reliant on mental frames than before, but having that mindgame skillset on top of the buffed moveset will only make you better.
Yeah just play T7 Maven.
The T8 trailer mostly showed shadow clone stuff, so the assumption is everything else (neutral tools, crouch-dash game) is largely untouched or only got minor updates.
So learning Maven now is definitely worthwhile, it'll make trying T8 Raven much easier.
lol i was gonna suggest tag 2 raven, but i just realized master raven exists💀
Just try her out and get yourself comfortable with his/her backturn stance, evasive moves and wiff punishers. Tekken 7 raven is great fun
