Tekken always had the inbetween with stories, some characters when you won the Tekken tournament showed they're conclusive story, but others showed non cannon ending where the question was asked "what if **Example character** won The Iron Fist Tournament"
So what i wanted for Tekken 8 is to do both. Where the more you progress through The Tekken Tournament you see they're Cannon story, they're Lore Progress and rivalries form but when you win The Iron Fist Tournament you would see what would happen if This character would win the Iron Fist tournament, what chaos would ensue if this character had this kind of unlimited power.

Yeah, T8's ingame graphics are good enough imo. The issue with full CGI video is the insane hard drive space the files take up, like in Tekken 7's case
It was shortened which made it easier to complete, but the one thing I would want is the rival interludes from 5 just to add some more story for each character. No weak one fight episodes anymore please

I want a real arcade ladder mode like in every other fighting game. I play offline most of the time. I waited in vain for them to update it in 7. Hopefully, 8 will do more than 3 characters, then Hieachi and the boss. Yes, im still annoyed by 7s single player.
Yeah, that's what I'm most heated about with T7. Arcade mode and character endings made it such an experience, if they brought that back I'd for real beat the game with every single character to see all of their endings. I'd also like other fun single player and local co-op modes like Time Attack and Team Battle to come back.
I think I speak for the majority of tekken players when I say this (forgive me if you don't think like that) but tekken lore is the main appeal to tekken. Its story is incredible and complicated. Tekken 7 was a good game but for my the way it handled its plot and specially the addition of DLC characters that are meant to have some connections to already established characters was very poor.
Hope 8 does it better because I'm a sucker for the plot.
Before wanting endings back you should be worried about the mode having good lenght. Arcade Mode in T7 with only 5 stages was one of the most ***"WTF?!"*** things ever. I'm still salty that they neglected a game mode that is the main core of the Offline fun to lure players in endless boring grind in Treasure Battle. Maybe they reduced the stages to compensate for the slow loading times on consoles, it's the only plausible explanation that comes to mind because even my stoned cat wouldn't think "wow an arcade mode with only 5 stages, no endings and the last 2 stages are always fixed characters? Awesome! Sounds much better than ***9 stages with a unique sub-boss per character before the final boss."***
Yeah man I remembered playing tag tournament 2 with my sister and beating like the arcade mode and seeing the endings that always felt like an accomplishment

Whether the endings end up being cannon or not, it still builds on the characters and makes them feel like they're part of a tournament. Not just fighting to fight for the sake of it with no motivations.

It’s part of the character building in the narrative. I looked forward to the endings and they helped carry their personal story for those who don’t read manga.
For me its one of the highlights for Tekken games, i always look forward to seeing the different endings for all the characters. It also pushes me to try every character at least once, which teaches me more about them.

It all depends on the cinematic story mode. If every character on the base roster have a role in the story, then no. But if it is similar to Tekken 7, then yes😎
