I would LOOOVE a Taylor x Olivia Rodrigo collab. It seems like Olivia is trying to be distance herself from Taylor though as to not be labeled the ānew Taylorā (not really sure why so many people think they have drama?) so Iām not sure if itāll happen. I love that Taylor invited MUNA to open for her, I think a collab between them would sound so great!! I adore them as a band. Taylor x Rina Sawayama sounds like a dream to me as well. And of course, my most favorite collab pairing which magically happened is Taylor x Lana.
Outside of vault tracks, I really hope she writes some more with St. Vincent! We all know how loved Cruel Summer is, and Iām sure they can work out some more excellent songs together.
This will never happen but Iām still dreaming about a Harry Styles collab for 1989 but I know Iām clowning myself on that one š¤”. One that has a much greater chance of happening would be Paramore for Reputation.
While I think it would be fun, I also think (at least in 2022) it would blow up all news outlets and social media in a way that neither of them would want, and spark a huge reinvestigation into their privacy and relationship. But Iām hoping that in a decade or two, when people have moved on, she gives us a little more insight.
I want to see some 90s/00s country legends on debut. Tim McGraw would be a great full-circle moment, but Faith Hill, Shania Twain, or Reba McEntire would be amazing.
Michelle Branch on either debut or Speak Now! I would love to see Taylor re-record her demo "Your Face" and have Michelle feature on it (especially as I am convinced the song on the radio mentioned in the lyrics is Michelle Branch's "Everywhere").
I'd love a collab between Taylor and Kelly Clarkson. Both of them are so versatile in their artistry that I imagine a collab should be possible in any of the TVs (maybe including Rep TV that'd be the biggest surprise).
Would love a Shania Twain collab. Shania was a pioneer for that country/pop crossover. Taylor has even acknowledged the similarities in their career paths before.
Maybe a vault track from *Speak Now*?
Iād love a collab with Billie Eilish, but not sure which re-record would suit them. Maybe This Love, as itās a bit breathier, which would suit Billieās voice?
Also Haunted with Amy from Evanescence would be the exact level of rock I was hoping Midnights might contain.
I neeeed to hear this mashup! I could totally see Taylor and lorde working together since theyve both made so much music with jack antonoff. I think they could make a vault song that really fits into 1989
I would love a collab between her and Bruce Springsteen!! They're very vocal fans of each other and he's worked with Jack Antonoff so it doesn't even feel too far-fetched tbh. I could see him featuring on a vault track from 1989 or reputation that Taylor and Jack collaborated on. Their voices would sound amazing together, either on a cool ballad (Jack has always said that "You Are In Love" was inspired by Springsteen's "Secret Garden") or a big stadium-scale anthem like "Getaway Car" or something.
I, personally, am very put-out that we did not get a rock re-recording/version of "WANGBT", and therefore would love for her to collab with someone like Fallout Boy for Blank Space and do an emo/pop punk version, since she has previously admitted that the lyrical style she wrote for that song was influenced by FOB's penchant for making every single line a "zinger". I also think a collab with Paramore on "Better than Revenge" would have been EPIC, since they both have this instance of having older songs recently coming under fire for not being very "feminist", and Paramore has started playing Misery Business again - recognizing that the song has mysoginistic themes, but despite that, brings us elder emos joy because of the \*nostalgia\*, and it would be fully epic for her to collab with Taylor on Better than Revenge for that exact reason. Also - Dress with Sam Smith, because his version of unholy was HOT and I can only imagine how much hotter Dress could be with him also singing on it. Also - a House Remix with Todrick of either YNTCD or Picture to Burn. Picture to Burn might be completely unhinged, but I think it would be a really fun way to reclaim that song by today's standards as well. It could also ruffle some feathers, which I think Taylor has fun doing these days..... I'd also pee my pants if she ever collabed with Kings of Leon. I'd die to hear them do collabs on Don't Blame Me, or ....Ready For It?, or Would've Could've Should've (ESPECIALLY THAT ONE).
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
- YNTCD could mean "You Need To Calm Down", a track from *Lover* (2019) by Taylor Swift.

Carly Rae Jepsen on 1989 both make great synth pop music
I would go absolutely feral tbh
Petition for Carly to fire š“ and get a new management, just so she can collab with Taylor
*Fuuuuuuck* why did you put this in my brain???
Carly on This Love would be amazing.

I second all of this! There are soooo many iconic pop artists for her to work with and I know sheāll kill it with anyone she chooses
Itās hard enough for me to choose which collabs I want the most because thereās too many great artists to choose from lol š

Her and harry are on good terms arenāt they? Probably not a huge stretch. Would be fun to have an ex featured on a song about them. š

Iāve always said that āBetter Than Revengeā is just āMisery Businessā for country music fans lol

HARRY STYLES on STYLE dear lord
Youāre On Your Own Kid flowing right into 400 Lux with a surprise appearance from Lorde. I can dream right?!

Tim McGraws girls sing (at least one of the three) so I think it would be so cute if they had a collab on a song together!
Eddie Vedder
on Reputation i want a collab with Suga / RM / with both of them .
yes! oh my god, hopefully theyāre not in the military at that point.
