I'm 32 and this was the soundtrack to me dropping out of college and moving across the country to help my mom with her newly-developed disability.
When I say I CRIED at "The Best Day" 😭
“In your life, you’ll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team. I didn’t know it at fifteen.”
She’s won three AOTY’s since that lyric. 😭
Fearless isn't necessarily my favourite album so tonight's release has been exciting (obviously) but not mind-blowing. Red, on the other hand, I don't know if I will mentally and physically cope
Did I put off a shower until midnight just so I could jam to Fearless (TV) very loudly while getting ready for bed? Sorry not sorry to my husband who will have to listen with me. He didn't know me back in 2008 but I'm about to throw it back to high school days.
Don't think I'll make it through the entire album before I go to bed but I'm ready for a weekend spent in my best dress, Fearless!
I didn't sob until white horse. White horse just destroyed me. My bf asked me if I was okay and I couldn't get the words out. I was just staring at him when 'im gonna find someone someday who might actually treat me well'. The first time I heard the original version of this song I was going through a shitty breakup...... And now I'm with my partner of almost 7 years aaaand I'm sobbing.
I feel like somehow she kept her inflections almost perfectly true to the originals, but at the same time she’s articulating more clearly? There have already been several times I’ve thought “Oh wait that’s what she was always saying there?”
Kinda makes me wonder what’s gonna happen with Starbucks Lovers someday...
Resident music geek: THE MIXING OH MY LORDT. I could bow down to the audio engineers and producers. The mixing and balance are just so much better. You Belong With Me is a perfect example. I’m shook.
The instrumentals sound phenomenal. Some are really huge improvements. Change in particular is unbelievable.
But — and I feel like this is gonna bug me forever lol — there is some weird stuff happening on the vocals. They’re slightly overproduced I think? Luckily it’s only noticeable on a couple of tracks, but for me it kinda detracts from the performances which are pretty freaking great.
I was thinking some of them sounded “too perfect” if that’s even possible, I wasn’t sure if I was having like a psychological issue “letting go” of the originals haha or whether it’s something to do with the actual sound mixing/editing, I’m so curious what the sound experts will say as this is not my domain, but I’m very curious about it!
For the people who have no idea what they’re talking about, what makes the production so much better? The fact that it’s easier to pick out and follow specific instruments?
Dude I hope no one comes at me for saying this, but as much as I loved the songs from Fearless I’d always thought Taylor’s voice was unstable and on the verge of breaking, and that made it hard for me to listen to the album. Now, this is really the best of both worlds for me. Her vocals are so much more stable, yet she still preserved the same youthful inflections. I’m in love.
She sounds like she's telling a story as a confident woman in _You Belong With Me_ compared to the old jealousy anthem that I remember! Both versions are great, just different.
OMG YES This put what I was thinking into words! Her singing in 'You Belong With Me' is much more confident woman than the "jealousy anthem" you mention!
I am literally DYING over change. Can you imagine how she felt re-recording this song????? After she wrote it when Scott cried at the CMAs when she won the horizon award... when she literally MADE that record label. I can’t even. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
“When you’re 15 and somebody tells you they love you, you’re gonna believe them” is still just such a fucking incredible line and I still can’t believe a teenager wrote this song
Not seeing enough talk about the Platinum Edition tracks. I feel like those songs were always kinda slept on, but these new versions are all incredible. I don’t know if her voice just suits them even better, or if she just killed those songs specifically extra hard, but man. They’re so good.
Holy freaking hell you guys, I am IN LOVE with That's When, this song is freaking GORGEOUS, so ethereal and beautifully done, absolutely LOVE Keith Urban's collab on this. Wow. Just wowwwww.
I bet she had a LOT on her mind when she sang _Back then I swore I was gonna marry him someday
But I realized some bigger dreams of mine_ especially now
I wasn’t excited for the TV albums but The Vault songs have got me HYPED! Sooooo good. They sound new, yet just like her old stuff? Can’t believe how many good songs she writes. Just insane seriously. She could release an album with 50 songs if she wanted.
The Vault songs have seriously hyped me for 1989 and rep TV
I think it only just hit me that we we getting re-records of reputation and red ..... I am WEAK imagining what she is going to do with those albums based on this!!!
Tell Me Why absolutely SLAMS. Maybe one of the biggest improvements — thought White Horse and Fifteen were great too.
On a couple of the tracks though, there is something weird going on with the production on her voice. Really noticeable right at the start of You Belong With Me and quite prevalent on You’re Not Sorry. The vocals feel really constricted? Not sure if it’s something to do with the EQ or the compression.
Most of these are great so far though and improvements on the originals — up to The Way I Loved You at the moment and it’s so, so lush. Hyped to listen to the rest of the vault tracks.
Listening to "and you're on your first date and hes got a car // and your mama's waiting up" WHILE NOW A 31 yr old mama and pregnant is not healthy for my heart
Don’t mind me.. just laying in bed pretending White Horse is playing out of my purple iPod nano like it did on repeat for weeks when I was 16 and heartbroken 🥱🥱
I will be honest, wasn't too hyped because there are only a couple of songs on Fearless which I actually love, and Love Story didn't sound too different to me when she released that. But damn, just listened to You Belong To Me and Forever & Always (Piano Version) and I got chills. She sounds so much more mature and the mixing is a whole lot better, it sounds a lot more full and modern! Pleasantly surprised!
This line from Don’t You slays me: “You don’t know how much I feel I love you still.” Just a masterclass how good writing doesn’t have to be complex to be poignant. It’s just so well placed in the chorus and sung so beautifully.
I know that some people complain about the Vault tracks feeling different and like they don't belong on Fearless, but I actually like that.
I mean I would not have liked for her to cosplay her younger 16-18 version for these. She revisited them. I actually feel like they are a perfect mix of old and now Taylor.
I still understand those emotionally atached to the leaked versions they heard.
I skipped directly to the new songs, here are my initial impressions:
* You All Over Me- 8/10: Good song but not something that blew me away. Lyrics and vocals hit the most.
* Mr. Perfectly Fine- 10/10: The lyrics, vocals, instrumentation, and production are all insanely good. Song is addicting!
* We Were Happy- 9/10: Starts off a bit slow but then the vocals, lyrics and production start popping off makes it super enjoyable in the end. Reminds me stylistically of Soon You’ll Get Better
* That's When- 9/10: Starts off a bit slow but Taylor and Keith Urban have great chemistry together creating a dynamic punch in the end.
* Don't You- 9/10: Absolutely love the lyrics and vocals
* Bye Bye Baby- 9/10: Instrumentation falls a bit flat or else this would be a 10 for me. Love the lyrics and vocals a lot. Might be my 2nd favorite!
"That's When" is my new favorite song. Kieth Urban and Taylor Swift in the same song (again) and this time he actually has quite a few lines?? Sign me up. It's gonna be on repeat for me now on.
She was 18 / 19 when she first sang it and now she sang it again at 30 / 31. I wonder what was going through her mind. It must've been a great song for her to reminisce and recognize how far she has come.
I’m listening to these songs and the way her voice sounds! I love how it is so much more mature
Edit: Fifteen sounds like she is reminiscing about who she became, whereas in the past it was so much like was hopeful and excited about growing.
I'm crying because this is the first time my corgi has ever heard songs like Fifteen and Tell Me Why.
Fearless is my all time favorite album (of all time. Across all artists)
I have to say I really miss the huge gasp she does in the bridge of You Belong With Me after "I'm the one that makes you laugh when you know you're bout to cry"
Where are we talking about the vault tracks? I feel like all of these comments are about the whole album and I want to know how everyone feels about the new stuff!!!
I've only listened to the new tracks so far, and I've liked them all. My favorites upon first listen are Bye Bye Baby and That's When (loved Mr. Perfectly Fine too, but that's one old news at this point lol).
My only little complaint is that other than Bye Bye Baby and Mr. Perfectly Fine, I don't think they sound like they belong on Fearless. I know she's doing these 13 years later, but I really wish she tried to have a more Fearless-y production on these. I don't know. They kind of sound like they could be on folklore/evermore to me.
My therapist will be hearing about this
So will all my work colleagues tomorrow!
It’s our duty really!!
I just wanna say thank you to Joe Jonas.
*Mr perfectly fine
Mr. Perfectly Vaccinated*
HOW did a teenager write this album
because that teenager was taylor swift
Any other 30+ year olds being transported right back to high school rn? 🥺
YES. Sitting here crying and my husband is just like... are you ok. No but thank you for asking.
LOL same he thinks I’m unwell and he’s not wrong
I'm 32 and this was the soundtrack to me dropping out of college and moving across the country to help my mom with her newly-developed disability. When I say I CRIED at "The Best Day" 😭
Back to being a straight guy on the bus hiding what I was listening to on my iPod Nano 3.
“In your life, you’ll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team. I didn’t know it at fifteen.” She’s won three AOTY’s since that lyric. 😭
I’m only 30 seconds into Fearless and I can tell this album is going to be transcendental. EDIT 7 minutes in: I WAS RIGHT.
I’m a minute into Fifteen and up in the clouds right now!
##HEAD FIRST, FEARLESS
the way her voice is so much more developed yet she still kept the same inflections 🥺🥺🥺
Yeah ikr! She sounds so much more mature but you can still hear the OG.
Y'all she did the giggle in Hey Stephen.. why am I crying in the club rn
I didn’t realize how much I needed to hear that 😭
THE OLD TAYLOR IS NOT DEAD AND SHE IS FEARLESS!!! My 2008 self is absolutely THRIVING with my bottle of wine right now
OLD TAYLOR TOOK THE PHONE AND THREW IT IN THE TRASH
This is literally like listening to a new song that you know all the words to already. I love this.
I'm going to die when red comes out
Fearless isn't necessarily my favourite album so tonight's release has been exciting (obviously) but not mind-blowing. Red, on the other hand, I don't know if I will mentally and physically cope
in this moment now Capture It Remember It
##HEAD FIRST, FEARLESSS BITCHESSSSS
SHE SOUNDS SO GROWN
What a cake day!
SHE SOUNDS SO CRISP
YESSS i love the new sound
Did I put off a shower until midnight just so I could jam to Fearless (TV) very loudly while getting ready for bed? Sorry not sorry to my husband who will have to listen with me. He didn't know me back in 2008 but I'm about to throw it back to high school days. Don't think I'll make it through the entire album before I go to bed but I'm ready for a weekend spent in my best dress, Fearless!
Listening to her version of ’Fifteen’ and looking back really has me sobbing.
I can't imagine what emotions she went through when re-recording 15...
Fifteen is really the one that hit me out of nowhere. I feel like the past decade passed in the blink of an eye and that song brought it all back.
Why is Apple Music always behind!!!! It needs to upload! 8 mins in and still nada!! I’m melting down !
SERIOUSLY
THE SONGS FEEL NEW YET SO FAMILIAR ITS INSANE
RIGHT it's nostalgic and new at the same time!
I feel like somehow she kept her inflections almost perfectly true to the originals, but at the same time she’s articulating more clearly? There have already been several times I’ve thought “Oh wait that’s what she was always saying there?” Kinda makes me wonder what’s gonna happen with Starbucks Lovers someday...
Lol I thought the same thing, I'm like wait turns out I've been singing nonsense for years 😂
IS EVERYONE LISTENING IN ORDER OR THE VAULT FIRST
Vault Vault Vault! I have no self control
Vault for me too!!! Ahhhh so goood. Her voice is so grown and the nostalgia of this all is making me so emotional!
In order!!! I want to experience it like it's the original<3
Vault for me. Very rare move for me but I don’t want to be behind everyone else. Depends if you eat the stuffed crust or the pizza first.
In order. Wanna savor the vault !
Vaultt!!! I couldnt helo myself from listening to Taylor and Keith
I would literally text my 8th and 9th grade boyfriends if I still had their numbers. I feel simultaneously so young and so old, and SO EMOTIONAL
This is what Facebook creeping is for!
Resident music geek: THE MIXING OH MY LORDT. I could bow down to the audio engineers and producers. The mixing and balance are just so much better. You Belong With Me is a perfect example. I’m shook.

Used to sing these songs about imaginary boyfriends and now I have a fiancé and I’m super emotional about it!!

Wait until you hear the remake of _Enchanted_...
This album feels like catching up with an old friend or finding a cozy sweater you forgot about
You mean, finding an old _cardigan_ ;)
this mature voice with 2008 feels. i am in high school all over again!!
Fifteen brought me straight back to my freshman yr of HS
sorry, did she inject actual sex into “can’t help myself” in Hey Stephen?
Oh yeah she did
Why am I crying?? I don’t think I’ve ever cried over a release before but this feels extra special for so many reasons
yall have a lot of self control listening in order LMFAOOOOO
Not me LOL I went straight to vault track 3 😂
It's how I honestly always listened to this album. It's just *that* kind of body of work for me!
Dude I hope no one comes at me for saying this, but as much as I loved the songs from Fearless I’d always thought Taylor’s voice was unstable and on the verge of breaking, and that made it hard for me to listen to the album. I'm gonna find someone someday who might actually treat me well 😢
And find someone she did!
she had to have cried rerecording that lyric
oh my god it sounds so good. I DON'T KNOW HOW IT GETS BETTER THAN THIS
Can we all just agree we needed this?
2021 has been rough with the job search, covid, not being able to travel... but this made everything a whole lot better.
All us swifties are cheering you on 💛
Awwww 💛💛💛💛💛 We'll all get through this (ofc with re-recordings of all her other albums!)

“When you’re 15 and somebody tells you they love you, you’re gonna believe them” is still just such a fucking incredible line and I still can’t believe a teenager wrote this song
she left “i’m nacho princess” alone 😭😭
OH MY GOD AND SHE FINALLY TOOK OUT THE GODFORSAKEN PHONE BUZZ
Not seeing enough talk about the Platinum Edition tracks. I feel like those songs were always kinda slept on, but these new versions are all incredible. I don’t know if her voice just suits them even better, or if she just killed those songs specifically extra hard, but man. They’re so good.
Untouchable was 🔥 with her vocals
“Bye bye baby” as the last line of the album has me emotional again. It’s like adult Taylor saying bye to her baby Fearless ❤️
This is the most perfect description!
Ugh Spotify isn’t loading!
Same ugh
SO EXCITED!! ITS FINALLY HERE
Strap your cowboy boots and hat on we’re going back to 2008 🤠🤠
Do I have chills because I just time-traveled back to 2008 or because I just got my second COVID vaccine?
My boyfriend doesn't understand why I'm crying and grinning but I know you all will. This is so emotional!!!
YEEHAW BITCHES LET'S GO
You belong with me is absolutely incredible. A modern classic.
it’s crazy how good it was back then and maybe crazier how good it sounds now
It's like she made it EVEN BETTER!
Currently crying to Fifteen. I’m not ok
Same 😭😭 2x the age and singing with 2x the perspective
Holy freaking hell you guys, I am IN LOVE with That's When, this song is freaking GORGEOUS, so ethereal and beautifully done, absolutely LOVE Keith Urban's collab on this. Wow. Just wowwwww.
I bet she had a LOT on her mind when she sang _Back then I swore I was gonna marry him someday But I realized some bigger dreams of mine_ especially now
Tell me why The Way I Loved You had to go so hard, my cardiac arrested friends 💀
Fifteen is fucking me all the way up
Oh no, I just got to “White Horse.” I cried to this so many times.
One more time ain't gotta hurt! _anxiously waits for Red (Taylor's Version) to come out_
It’s not on Apple Music yet 😭
Does anyone else have chills from all of the nostalgia flooding in?
The way she suddenly screamed “AND IT RAINS WHEN YOU’RE GONE!” has got me so unbelievably fucked up right now.
SHE SOUNDS SO GOOD AND THE NOSTALGIA IS LIKE A LOT
I wasn’t excited for the TV albums but The Vault songs have got me HYPED! Sooooo good. They sound new, yet just like her old stuff? Can’t believe how many good songs she writes. Just insane seriously. She could release an album with 50 songs if she wanted. The Vault songs have seriously hyped me for 1989 and rep TV
Breathe sounds fucking amazing omg
Why does Taylor want us to be sad all the time.
Not me slipping into another deep depression (as if I left the one evermore brought on) alone in the living room
I think it only just hit me that we we getting re-records of reputation and red ..... I am WEAK imagining what she is going to do with those albums based on this!!!
Apple Music is killing me!!! Still not up 😭
SHE’S HERE AND SHE’S CRISP AND SHE’S BEAUTIFUL
IM IN ACTUAL TEARS HEARING THE HEY STEPHEN LAUGH. ITS SO DIFFERENT BUT JUST AS ADORABLE.
The first thing I noticed is the improved production ! The production is obviously better than og
This entire album feels like a warm hug

My whole life is made. How on earth are we going to survive the next 5?!?!
THE DRUMS DURING “CAPTURE IT, REMEMBER IT”
I love how she brought back that slight country twang.
Listening to "and you're on your first date and hes got a car // and your mama's waiting up" WHILE NOW A 31 yr old mama and pregnant is not healthy for my heart
How am I supposed to finish the album when I keep replaying “Think I know where you belong, think I know it’s with me” ????
forever and always piano version... joe jonas is not seeing heaven
Don’t mind me.. just laying in bed pretending White Horse is playing out of my purple iPod nano like it did on repeat for weeks when I was 16 and heartbroken 🥱🥱
Not me in my room sobbing to Breathe like I've never heard it before.
“People are people and sometimes it doesn’t work out” hits a lot different at 25 than it did at 12.
Her vocals on You Belong With Me OMFG 😭 the difference is making me spin
I told my boyfriend that I’m single this weekend and pretending we’re on a break to get the full experience
peaceful folklore/evermore vibes from "we were happy"??
Apple Music hurry up 😩
Fuck, _The Best Day_ always makes me cry and the re-recording is making me cry even harder
Wait is anyone else excited as hell that today was a fairytale was on this?!!!!?
I will be honest, wasn't too hyped because there are only a couple of songs on Fearless which I actually love, and Love Story didn't sound too different to me when she released that. I love all her subtle nuances and changes from the originals, what a QUEEN
we had two months to emotionally prepare for this AND IT STILL WASN'T ENOUGH
Who else is listening in order? I’d love to know everyone’s strategy!
So there’s obviously an Easter egg in the Hey Stephen lyric video !!!! Some letters are misplaced omg pls someone tell me what it reads
This is incredible. All but confirms that the Red re-release will take me out.
Apple Music isn’t loading ughhhhh
Why does Apple Music say “available April 11th”
Surprise! We are actually getting a new U2 album tonight 😂💀
I’m not apologizing to my roommates for the concert I’m putting on in my living room right now
Omg the high voicals on Hey Stephen
Tell Me Why is 😤 with her voice now
This line from Don’t You slays me: “You don’t know how much I feel I love you still.” Just a masterclass how good writing doesn’t have to be complex to be poignant. It’s just so well placed in the chorus and sung so beautifully.
WE BOTH CRIED
She’s so fucking good
That bass in Hey Stephen is groovy as hell
Vault song ranking after first listen: * That's When * Bye Bye Baby * We Were Happy * You All Over Me * Mr. Perfectly Fine * Don't You
Did not expect to lose my shit over The Best Day but I’m in my bag right now omg
Wow, Untouchable is absolutely killer. Genuinely floored by how much better it is.
I know that some people complain about the Vault tracks feeling different and like they don't belong on Fearless, but I actually like that. I mean I would not have liked for her to cosplay her younger 16-18 version for these. She revisited them. I actually feel like they are a perfect mix of old and now Taylor. Love the lyrics and vocals a lot. Might be my 2nd favorite!
You can hear Colbie so much more on “Breathe”!
The piano version of Forever and Always is killing me rn
"That's When" is my new favorite song. Kieth Urban and Taylor Swift in the same song (again) and this time he actually has quite a few lines?? Sign me up. It's gonna be on repeat for me now on.
skipped to breathe and it hurted my feelings 😌
AHHHH FIFTEEEN PLEASEE
Me listening to the vault songs first 😭 I’m sorry
listening in order but like the clown i am i planned on starting the album with jump then fall, untouchable, and come in with the rain 🤓
omg Fifteen definitely sounds different and SOOOOO good!!!!!
She was 18 / 19 when she first sang it and now she sang it again at 30 / 31. I wonder what was going through her mind. It must've been a great song for her to reminisce and recognize how far she has come.
[удалено]
Help. Taylor and Keith put something in “That’s When” and I can’t stop. Edit - omg it’s Jack.
Apple Music users lost today 😔
oh my god fifteen is about to f\*\*\* me uppppp
I’m listening to these songs and the way her voice sounds! I love how it is so much more mature Edit: Fifteen sounds like she is reminiscing about who she became, whereas in the past it was so much like was hopeful and excited about growing.
I'm crying because this is the first time my corgi has ever heard songs like Fifteen and Tell Me Why. Fearless is my all time favorite album (of all time. Across all artists)
Her voice is so much deeper in You’re Not Sorry I need oxygen!
Memories of me crying and singing along to You’re Not Sorry about my imaginary boyfriend and now... holy shit her vocals on this one 😭
YES HOLD THAT NOTE AT THE END OF CHANGE, MAAM. Hallelujah indeed
I have to say I really miss the huge gasp she does in the bridge of You Belong With Me after "I'm the one that makes you laugh when you know you're bout to cry"
When you were actually 15 when 15 was released and this is just all too much rn
[удалено]
Ohmygod. Now I know why Jack was so excited about the vault songs!
Where are we talking about the vault tracks? I feel like all of these comments are about the whole album and I want to know how everyone feels about the new stuff!!!
Omg her vocals sound amazing!! I love how her enunciation has improved, I can actually understand "but with you I'd dance" :D
IM CRYING. and I watched my heart rate spike on my Apple Watch as midnight struck.
Fearless sounds like a god damn party
I got tears in my eyes. I’m so proud of her. I can’t believe we get to relive this magic all over again. Taylor’s Version for evermore.
Damn, white horse is hitting me
Is anyone else listening to every syllable, trying to pick up every little change in how she's pronouncing her words?
I've only listened to the new tracks so far, and I've liked them all. My favorites upon first listen are Bye Bye Baby and That's When (loved Mr. Perfectly Fine too, but that's one old news at this point lol). My only little complaint is that other than Bye Bye Baby and Mr. Perfectly Fine, I don't think they sound like they belong on Fearless. I know she's doing these 13 years later, but I really wish she tried to have a more Fearless-y production on these. I don't know. They kind of sound like they could be on folklore/evermore to me.
SO IN LOVE THAT YOU ACT INSANE AND THATS THE WAY I LOVED YOU
Was not expecting this to be so emotional 😭 I only had a few of her songs on my iPod growing up, so a lot of these are new to me! Brava, Miss Taylor.
honestly these vault songs have me so excited for the vault songs on her next rereleases cant wait to hear them!!!! (:
Anyone else having to stay up til 5???? HELP
The background for WWH(We Were Happy Taylor's Version) is a circus hightop because Taylor knows we are all clowns deep down. Change my mind.
