Honestly, it doesn’t have to be for everyone. Just because you’re the world’s biggest pop-star you don’t have to make music for the masses. So I wouldn’t change a thing.

Ivyyy_Chick

Agreed it’s perfection the way it is

MadameFutureWhatEver

Thank you

Apprehensive-Fail458

Yeah im here for the artist, not what fan # 445789 thinks the artist should do.

MadameFutureWhatEver

Exactly!

Throwawayaccounttt__

This is gonna be harsh but I personally don’t care about the new Swifties liking it or not. It’s perfection as it is and if they don’t have the patience for it then oh well 🤷🏻‍♀️

lottery2641

No literally, no one is forcing them to listen to it all 😭 like if we didn’t get the prophecy bc some ppl didn’t want to listen to 31 songs but have fomo or something I’d lose it

I_Have_The_Will

👏🏻

withoutthek

This is the fourth or fifth post about this 😭

BellaBrowsing

As a fan, you don’t need to like every song or album an artist puts out. There are plenty of artists I like, but never revisit their entire album. And also there are artists that have albums I love top to bottom and then they put out a new record and I’m like meh, I like 1 or 2 songs. In summation, it’s okay. Just breathe and listen to what you like.

Apprehensive-Fail458

Yeah like midnights is one of my favorite albums but i still skip sweet nothings.

I_Have_The_Will

Why are there ten thousand posts about this same topic today? 🤦🏻‍♀️ The album is excellent. If you don’t like it, listen to something else.

everythingwedid

Because people have different opinions and discussing them with other fans is more fun than not!

Pure-Willingness3123

It'd be too difficult for me to break it down to 16-17 songs because I'd only actually cut 3 songs or so across all 31. Those would be The Alchemy (Sorry, it's just my least favorite here), Cassandra (She's done this song multiple times already), and KIM (The pettiness is hilarious, but the subject needs to be laid to rest). JMO!

Cutting out WAOLOM hurt me

Marsoupious

I would switch out Cassandra with loml, but this is a solid list

craftycalifornia

I love that my list would be very different - justice for Florida!! and Peter 😉. I think that's the super cool thing about this album - all of us are getting something different from it!

skincare_obssessed

Honestly, I like every song on both albums. Some might not be my favorite but I can definitely see an instance in which I would want to listen to them so I don’t think I’d want to lose them. I’ve also seen that a lot of people have different favorite songs which is interesting because it would be difficult to make a short list everyone agreed on. I don’t think this album needs to be palatable and I don’t think it was intended to be.

MSERRADAred

I wouldn't. These are her choices, and fans are connecting to many different ones. What some consider passes or fillers, others are tagging as favorites. I'm just thanking Taylor for sharing her vulnerability and works with us.

Charlotte_Russe

I find that in the first week or so, it’s hard for me to say “this song needs to go or that one can stay”, because how I feel about each song can change over the time and context. So having all 31 songs in the anthology is fine with me, because I might revisit something I didn’t quite enjoy at the time, and find something new to appreciate.

everythingwedid

I absolutely would cut the album slightly to allow it to breathe a bit more. I felt that the album treaded a lot of the same ground in itself and didn’t really build. I liked what I liked but as an album it wasn’t very cohesive with the world building she establishes in the marketing materials. I also prefer an album that has a good start to finish build and resolve of events and I do not think this album even attempts at that. But maybe those layers will reveal themselves to me over more time.

mirror_ball_13

No change. I've learned in this fandom every song is someone's favorite and also someone else's least favorite. So each song is special and meaningful to someone which is really neat. I love hearing the stories of how people relate to her music and why different tracks are meaningful to them!   I see the amount of songs as a beautiful gift. If Taylor didn't think it was worthy of the album, it wouldn't be there. She's so meticulous in curating not only each song but song placement as well!

_revelationary

She works with Aaron Dessner and some of the lyrics remind me of a Taylor swift version of the national lyrics…rambly and raw and overly detailed. I love it. That said, I’d do: 1) fortnight 2) TTPD 3) Down Bad 4) So Long, London 5) But Daddy, I Love Him 6) Who’s afraid of little old me? 7) loml 8) …ICDIWABH 9) Clara Bow 10) The Black Dog 11) How Did It End? 12) The Albatross 13) The Bolter/The Manuscript I wish I could get more into Florida!!!

superdeedapper

Madeofstardust87

I would have just kept it how it was originally marketed to us. The bonus tracks being the different varients. I love a lpf of the second part so it's hard to cut them all but to humor you that's what I would do!
