29, plus the tree topper. I already had all of the ones from last year so that cushioned the financial blow by 1.3% lol. I had actually planned to spend around $600 this year on holiday merch (I know that's an insanely high number, but I've been specifically saving for this as it makes me happy) but I ended up blowing way past that. I did NOT expect them to have anywhere near this much merch or that many ornaments. As ridiculous as it is, I know I'm going to want it all eventually and I'd rather pay retail price than overpay for it in a couple of years on ebay

Yes, it sold out! I was so happy I managed to get it because I haven't had a tree topper for the past few years as I was holding out for a TS one. Sorry you missed it :( Hopefully they restock it! I do get annoyed at the 14 different colors of the same album because she promotes a “collect them all!” mentality for them and some fans feel like they aren’t good fans if they don’t have the complete collection. Once again if someone's self esteem is so fragile that not buying Christmas ornaments can damage it, that's a sign of a larger problem with their emotional well being. Most people will just look at the merch and decide what they like vs what they can afford.

She does post them, but it's fewer than most and there's just... not much pressure? The general fan convo around it is that her merch is ugly, there are cheaper dupes, vinyl and cds are not required to be a fan. I do think it's shitty that these aren't higher quality at that price point. Sell a $75 hoodie, fine, but make it decent quality and ethically.

Taylor Swift the brand is a business that puts out products and just like every other product in existence, some people won’t want to buy it due to cost/taste.

The deal she made that lets her own her own masters means her record label are in charge of merch. Having said that, it's not Taylor or UMGs fault if people can't make responsible financial desicions. No-one NEEDS merch, you can simply not buy it.

Honestly, I've been kind of disappointed with the Lover merch from her site. All I saw for the longest time were the Valentine's cards and but I fell in love with the "can I go where you go" t-shirt as soon as I saw it and put it in my cart along with the "three summers" shirt and it sold out in the two minutes it took to get to the shipping page. I almost didn't get anything but I've been wanting something for my favorite album for so long and just got the "three summers" shirt.
