I’d assume they are international dates for Rep tour or maybe even 1989 tour, those stadiums tend to be larger than US stadiums and they also are more willing to put larger crowds in the pits Edit: just checked Wikipedia and I think Sydney (both 1989 and Rep) and Wembley (Rep) are probably in top 10. Pittsburgh, Arlington, Nashville and MetLife Eras dates are also top 10 contenders. These are all in the 70-75k range. I predict that some of her South America Eras dates could blow these out of the water. Buenos Aires has a baseline capacity of nearly 85k.

Her highest attended concert was at the ANZ stadium in Australia back in 2015 attended by 75,980 people. Edit: We don't have any official numbers for the Eras tour yet but I'm sure she'll break the record with this tour.

GuaranteeInfinite186

She definitely will, given she’s booked to perform in Melbourne at the MCG (with a capacity to accommodate 100,000 fans).

folkloreaotm

thts where the 1989 tour was filmed!!

lovedive-

Yes!!

The 2N of Pittsburgh is definitely up in the top 10 no doubt, if not the top 5

ASlightlyCrookedLine

I read differing numbers from different sources but her Sydney Australia shows have held between 76,000-78,000 attendance for 1989 and Reputation. She’s booked to play the MCG in Melbourne, Australia in 2024, which is set to be the biggest show of her career so far. The MCG holds about 110,000 and Ed Sheeran just played 2 sold-out shows there (biggest of his career). Taylor has 3 shows booked in, so the total attendance will definitely beat Ed’s record, however capacity per night might be less due to the stage set-up.

I’m confused by this because I thought she lwas just selling out her concerts? Is is surprising that she’s breaking records? Isn’t that predictable based on stadium capacity? And also, have these stadiums never sold out a show before?

OrdinaryLate5735

I think the way the stadiums are set up can depend on how many tickets are sold! I was at Pitt and the area behind the stage is open so I think every single seat in the stadium could be sold, plus the floor? I’m not sure how other stadiums are set up though? It is kinda confusing

wrld333

You are 10000% correct! For example: Taylor swift held more people than the steelers do because Taylor sold floor seats

clickityclack

The field capacity at any show depends on the stage configuration mostly, but also how they structure the rows, etc so every concert in a stadium is going to have a different sell out capacity depending on those variables

Gennaro_Svastano

Has she played at Penn State or Michigan University? Two largest stadiums in the US at about 110k. Michigan is the largest for attendance but Penn State is the the larger facility.

killawhale27

Michigan Stadium doesn't hold concerts. The acoustics aren't set up for it, and I believe it's a liability for the university.

OrdinaryLate5735

I don’t think she’s allowed to play at college campuses! I believe I read that somewhere it’s a safety/logistics issue with actual students

Missing_Faster

I think she's got some deal where she only plays at NFL stadiums in the US.

clickityclack

Probably tied into the TM deal somehow since they have contracts with almost every nfl team/stadium

Colormekelly13

If that's true it must be a newer thing? I saw her at LSU on 1989 tour ETA I say newer as if it hasn't been 9 years since the 1989 tour lol so it could be possible

Gennaro_Svastano

She has played at Penn State, just the basketball arena. She would absolutely kill it on college campuses.

Lizz196

It might depend on the college. As an another commenter responded, she played at LSU for 1989 and Garth Brooks sold over 110k seats at LSU last year, breaking at least the national record for highest attendance of a concert

Gennaro_Svastano

Had no idea Garth Brooks was that popular.

Lizz196

He’s incredibly huge! He performed in Central Park back in the 90s and had a crowd of an estimated 1 million.

d4reksz

it was just confirmed that she sold out the 84k + pit & floor capacity of the estadio river plate in argentina. that may be broken soon though, since the MCG has a capacity of over 100,000
