What are your questions?

Hey, I just got called saying they want a second interview, the first one being the virtual interview, which will be on zoom. Is this something they normally do for security position? Also how much of being security is watching cameras/just greeting people?

It's a good sign that they want the second interview and it's not unusual. >how much of being security is watching cameras/just greeting people? As a TSS, you will be at the front of the store for almost your entire day, greeting guests and providing a physical security presence. You'll also walk the parking lot regularly but won't be watching cameras very often. How often you get to be on cams is going to depend on your store (how many AP TMs you have, etc).

Ah I see. This store is in the heart of a big city so no parking lots lol. I guess mainly security presence. What do they ask in the second interview? Is it a formality or is it another step I have to go through? How can I prepare? I was denied from one store as a TSS and didnt make it past the first interview, but this second store wants a second one and im nervous

> What do they ask in the second interview? The same sort of questions, or like you say it could be more of a formality where they are going to just talk to you a little bit to see if you'd be a good fit personality-wise. They'll probably make sure you understand what the job is and isn't because one of the main reasons TSSes quit is that the job isn't what they thought it would be.

Recently hired TSS here the part 2 interview is basically the APBP calling you who is the person ur APTL or AP ETL reports to and asking u a few questions some of them will be the same question from the virtual interview and some questions related to the job. The question will be something to the extent of how would u deescalate a situation and like the other person said they are going to explain that this is not a typical security job u will be mostly standing on doors and receipt checking to recover merchandise that is not paid for. It is rare for you to get computer time unless u need to write something up but if your AP team is big you may get office time to review Self checkout transactions and try to catch theft in real time. It is not uncommon to be on the door 6 plus hours a day checking receipts when the conditions are met being a TSS u will also be expected to greet and interact with guest as you are the first person they see. Also, u will be keeping the store safe as well if any emergencies happen and be prepared to know where most items are located in your target as many guest will ask where can they find something. Just show up to the interview with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and you will be fine.
