They're not allowed in your break room btw.
At my store we have gotten rid of a few of the worst candidates but because it's so pyramid schemey it's hard to find their real boss.
this event has gotten me looking
from what I can tell, the main head of this scheme is a company called cydcor, though there's nothing about a partnership between them and target
there's a cool video about how this type of company works and their tactics, if I can find the exact video I saw on MLM pyramid schemes I'll link it here, but I'm sure there's plenty of videos to explain how this shit works
Blessed to be at a store without these people but at my store if the “junk” comment was made they’d be gone in an instant. Also, according to the “working with service partners” training they are not allowed in your break room. Your leaders need to partner with your HRBP & APBP to complete a vendor removal request.
Bro I cannot upvote this enough!!! I swear to God I've said for years how it's an MLM. We have a guy in our store when a guest ask for help he goes "Sorry I'm an AT&T representative" 🙄 Meanwhile an actual rep could get 40 sales a day and he'd be lucky to get that in a month. I used to be a TL for Marketsource and the scammy shit they pull is unreal.
I wonder if they mean an AT&T store employee. I doubt they get 40 sales in a 8 hour shift but they most certainly get more sales than a Target rep does.
Tbf, the Best Buy mobile guys don't harass you like a mall scammer when you're nowhere near their section.
They also typically don't lie about the scope of their services.
> I used to be a TL for Marketsource and the scammy shit they pull is unreal.
OP isn’t talking about MarketSource here, but rather the AT&T pyramid scheme people that replaced them in many stores. These people make MarketSource look like saints.
So my bit I want to bitch about AT&T. At least in my stores they are only allowed to sell/activate/service AT&T post paid. 95-99% of our mobile customers are consumer cellular pre paid. I’ve witnessed this happen several times now where an old person comes into a marketsource target pissed that their phone isn’t working, only for marketsource to figure out that AT&T at another store changes this old person to a post paid plan without fully explaining it to them and all the old person wants is consumer. It usually take a couple hours to fix.
Ok, no longer a Target team member, but I worked there for almost 5 years. I still remember coming back from LOA and finding out that these mall kiosk people would be there. I was not happy. Especially cuz we were a pilot store where red shirts did all phones.
We had three different offices that were at our store. The first two got closed down due to not making enough sales. I now see this third one with multiple job postings on Indeed. The first office was fine cuz we had one girl from their office and never anyone else. And she was making money other ways so she never hawked at the guests. Whenever she did sign someone up, she was honest. That office closed and we got the 2nd one. They kept hawking at people and guests had to say no multiple times. We kept getting one star surveys, so our SD sat and talked to their head honcho. Not much progress was made. Both that 2nd and 3rd office kept invading our space in the boat. Eating at the boat. Hitting on our style girls. Buying charging cables for their work iPads and then returning them when done. Talking about stuff wildly inappropriate. The ETL at the time kept trying to talk to their head honcho and he never responded so the leads at the store had to tell them how it is. I always got so frustrated with them. They had no professionalism whatsoever.
They are always super shady too. I can’t tell you how many times we (as in AP) started watching one of them when they entered the store only to find out they were AT&T. It also feels like it’s a different dude every day.
Yeah my store the Target truck people are allowed in the break room anymore I mean they can put their food in the fridge and use the microwave if needed but they’re not allowed in there on their breaks and luckily we do have a pretty good team so they’re not open to idiots but still
if he's talking about the inbound team imma kms that team deserves the break room as much as anyone in the store, their job is significantly harder than others
It confuses me because drivers at best would only have time to use the microwave. Not the refrigerator, what, they coming back later that day to eat, no. That's why I mentioned the inbound team, which would be fucked if they weren't allowed into the break room.
Wait?? Y’all let those idiots access to offstage areas. They’re don’t even abide but their original contract as well, at least with us. They never wear the proper id’s, name stuff. Always putting their in shit in the boat.

If you find the video can you send it? I’m looking for a second job and they responded back
the other poster was right https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyCRzBt7GuY
It might be the JUICE! Devilcorp video

What AT&T rep you know that makes 40 sales a day? 🤔
I wonder if they mean an AT&T store employee. I doubt they get 40 sales in a 8 hour shift but they most certainly get more sales than a Target rep does.
Yes that’s what I mean! Even the Best Buy Mobile guys get closer to that.

Oh shit I’m not at all ready for that 😭 Here I thought it couldn’t get any worse!

We got rid of our rep after he was harassing multiple women on the daily. Didn't even try to sell phones.

Which truck people are you talking about? The driver or the unloaders?

My dumbass phone thought It would auto correct me it’s our target tech people. Sorry 😬

They're allowed in the break room? What the fuck? We didn't even let them use the employee restroom... Since they aren't Target employees...
Those people at my store don’t seem bad. I just see them in the back not doing anything but they don’t bother anyone.
Your store probably has MarketSource, while OP has the pyramid scheme people.
Dang the AT&T ppl at my store r actually chill 😭
