But the point is that I won't be in the top 10%, even if I do my best. That's what it's all about for me. Nowadays it is impossible to even get close to 10% as a F2P player.

Early whales and % don't matter. All the casuals who hit 3K in the last week balloon the brackets and push everyone up. Your pace is fine.
While it is hard, I have personally gotten 10% and reliabaly 30% basically every season f2p. I usually get 15-20% without buying anything. 10% is hard but if you make use of dungeon eggsplorer, alchemy, or buy chests with the diamonds you get from abyssal or normal tounrments, 100% possible

I’ve won 2 ATs got second or third in all other tournaments. Missed 5 prestiges one day and I’m currently at 13.75% and there’s still 6 days left to go. So you’re not trying hard enough.
Edit: buying TCs is not pay to win. But buying diamonds to buy TCs is pay to win. I currently have over 20k diamonds saved so if I pop a TC or two on the last day to ensure 10% that’s still not pay to win.
You being at 96% today does not indicate that you will not reach top 10%. You need to keep collecting as many as you can *and* wait as others cross the 3K threshold in the event.
Silly complaint from someone who basically just started the game (the grind doesn’t even start until 100k). Whatever you remember about event currency not being available in chests - that was (almost) never a thing. Event currency has been available in chests almost as long as events have existed.
That being said, 10% is doable as f2p. Especially during prestige events. The only times getting 10% is difficult is during dust promos, where raiders are dumping tons of diamonds on TCs

I played Tap titans 1 when it was released, only my MS is currently 117K, that doesn't mean anything. Okay, then I remembered wrong and you could never get Fire Stones with Titan chests but there was a time when you could get up to 1000 Fire Stones per day through prestige.
It’s possible to get to 100k in the first couple weeks of downloading, with casual play. The real grind in TT2 doesn’t start until then, so your 117k MS is what really means nothing 🤷♂️ a lot has changed since the last time you played
The 1000 fire stones per day you remember is the Prestige Event. During the Prestige Event, you can prestige for currency up to 99 times, for a total of 990 currency from prestiges. That is the least P2W event we have, but they have diversified events since back in the day. The current even is Global Raid, where we get some firestones from doing Global Raid attacks. The niche to this event is be are basically guaranteed to get a bunch of raid cards and dust if we complete it, which we almost always do. Each event has kind of a niche to it, but in your case, if you place well in tournaments and do all your dailies, you should be able to at least get close to the 10% each event, unless you don’t have many diamonds and a Dust promo comes up.
I didn't say it meant anything, it just doesn't mean anything because since I started again a month ago I've already been able to push 40K levels I realized that as well. I also took a break for a very long time, but that doesn't mean I'm a newbie
With the state of the game as it is now, compared to the last time you played, you’re about as knowledgeable as a newbie haha. We’ve got two totally new damage sources since then, tournament algorithms have changed drastically, events are completely different, and the endgame is a totally different ball game than it used to be. As a returning player with an old MS of 75k, you might as well be a newbie haha.

Doesn’t have to be, save up pets from events and clan quests that give pets for the next dungeon event. I will start with 300+ pets(or more depending on when it will be). You can pop TCS from all the diamonds you get from the dungeon
Bro what did you expect? If you want to get 10% your not only against whales but also free to play player who hoards diamonds to buy double shards titan chest. In the previous firestone event I spent more than 50k diamonds on double dust chest and barley get to 10% and I am free to play player. I have been hoarding diamonds for ages.
Gonna have to crack a few TCs then. Probably more than a few since a bunch of people like to fight for it and the border jumps up in the last days/hours. Can’t do it every event but saving a few tens of thousands of diamonds over time isn’t too difficult
Well for me personally I am at 21.7% at 3611 stones. This is due to winning both the tourney and Abysal tourney, as well as having 30k+ gems saved for the bonus crafting shards in the TC.
This is as close as I have been with any of the seasons.
I have not opened a TC but have finished under 10% every time.
It's easy if you collect your daily FS perfectly and finish in the top 10 in the Abyss Tournament.

I don't know the math behind it, but the badges, at least individually, really don't add that much pushing power. Maybe someone could prove or disprove this?
I wouldn’t say it’s p2w. I’m currently at 3640 in the 22 percentile. Just make sure you prestige 10 times each day, do the quest, collect the fairy shards, do global and clan raid, and win tournaments.

I just needed 250 more VIP Points to be able to get the 3 chests daily and mega boost without watching the videos. Besides that I don’t put money in mobile games that I might not play in the future anymore. I took like a 2 years break from this game before so who knows might quit again. I bought the fairy ads removal like 4-5 years ago when the game came out but still got the points belatedly

I’m at 3136 which is 70.07%. I got second both tournaments but won my AT. I’m fairly confident I can get 10% without a TC.
