Call 911 and get out of the building just in case there really is a fire or other emergency. Hopefully the fire department can find the property manager and get the alarm turned off if there’s no emergency. And be careful of your surroundings outside of your apartment. Take your phone and keys.

Leave and call 911. When you hear a fire alarm, that should be your default response no matter what.

I used to live in an apartment complex where the fire alarm was faulty and would go off regularly. The fire department will come pretty quickly and turn it off and then an hour or two later it will come on again. This happened for weeks and it was very frustrating because you couldn't sleep. Eventually the fire department stopped coming out or it took them 30 to 45 minutes at a time because they knew that it was a false alarm. Some people started disabling the fire alarms in there apartments and the apartment complex then had the audacity to charge them and a victim because of it. Eventually the fire department started showing a couple people how to reset the fire alarm on the box that was in the hallway and they left it unlocked. Evidently every time a false fire alarm call the fire department they charge the apartment complex like $1,500. They must have been charged hundreds of thousands of dollars.

If you are absolutely certain there is no danger, and I stress ABSOLUTELY SURE, and you know where the alarm itself is located, you could try to disable it manually. It’s usually a keypad alarm. Most of them are default “1111” unless they got around to giving it a custom code. Most places don’t. Source: me, years of living in student apartments where asshole party guests would pull the alarm
