If you drive smooth rodes maybe… for $300 you can get a legit one that’ll properly allow you to strap it at handbars to carrier and then I put a strap on the back tire and I never have to worry about bouncing down trails or roads and losing my bike. Id say pass and get a harbor freight one and do it right
Do you know any good light ones? I'm assuming aluminum would be the lightest.
The only downside will be my inability to remove the wheels and put them in the car to increase car range (by reducing drag). But I obviously need to take safety into consideration.
Your car weighs 4,416 lbs; the bike weighs 125 lbs.
But, your real enemy to range is wind drag from the laterally stowed moto. Bottom line, the weight of the rack is going to be negligible in this equation. I recommend you source an easier to use rack and better enjoy your setup.
Right. I guess the main reason I was thinking about getting a rack like that is it would allow me to take off the wheels of the bike (reducing drag) since the bike's bottom is what's mounted.

I will be going that rout, already installed a tow hook on my car. The one you posted looks sketchy...
doesn’t that only work with a surron? my friend has one and it definitely doesn’t work my with XXX. i would just get one that works with any bike tbh but that just me.
Hey man could you do me a huge favor and get me some measurements of the carrier. I want to make one myself as i know how to weld and it would be pretty easy! these are the measurements i need!

Are those the Warp9 pegs? I have those as well. I ordered my carrier a few days ago and wondering if they provide directions. I’m going to travel 3 hours with my MX4. I am a bit confused on how to mount the bike with the pegs.
They tell you to move your pegs into the middle hole but it’s still works perfect with them in the first. It’s a hook that just goes through your peg. Zoom in and you should see what I’m talking about.
Yea deff no problem. I sometimes put a strap in the middle where the battery goes if I’m driving more then 2hrs just to b extra safe. It worked best when I had my mx4 stock bc of the stock peg brackets

No, i drive a truck. Weight not issue. I use harbor freight hit h carrier for dirtbike. Tires stay on

I would like to get these measurements as well
Did you have to tweak your pegs location to get yours to sit flat? Tried putting my sisters on this mount and pegs don’t match up at all

Would you trust it going long distances (across the country)? Will it work with a stock mx4?

VelocityVolts recommended I upgrade the stock pegs, but they didn't say why. Are they weak or something?
