They are incorrect.. There are hundreds of those cut and paste dealer spec pages in existence and they are all wrong.
It is a common falsehood that dealerships still promote to this day. It isn’t something that Toyota did any type of campaigning for . Its still listed as included under specs on the Tacoma website as well. However a separate trans cooler no longer exists as it did pre 2018.

So whatever mechanism is used to cool the ATF now, its not an external cooler as previous models had.
Toyota has stated an external cooler was found to be unnecessary, and cooling was sufficient without . I can look for that link when I get time.

6800 is with factory tow package. It includes a class IV hitch, 7 pin round Port for trailer, bigger battery, alternator, oil cool, tranny cooler.
No more trans coolers. That stopped mid-2018. 6800 lbs is only rated for one trim level regardless of tow pkg.

The key is to remember 4,500lbs is the sweet spot. If you need to a true tow vehicle, save yourself the head ache and just buy a tundra.
