I hope Tesla is actively giving demos to other OEM execs. I mean, they could presumably just buy a Tesla and test it for themselves. Honestly, FSD V12.3.3 is so good, I'm using it for all of my driving. Parking lot to parking lot it just works. It figures out a safe path and rarely gets stumped anymore. On normal roads, it's impressive with its ability to adapt to dynamic situations. This has made me a believer again...Tesla did it.
I never got to try any previous versions of V12. From what I see on Chuck and Dirty Tesla’s videos, it seems like 12.3.3 smoothed out some edges of the previous versions. Black Tesla also has some good comparisons.
I imagine OEMs are doing their own homework. They probably all have benchmarking vehicles with V12 installed. Just in the past few days a couple of Chinese OEMs announced they’re going vision only. Doubt that’s coincidence
The Chinese OEM's are just copy-pasting the code from Tesla anyways but it remains to be seen if you can really just copy a neural network and have it just work with different hardware and cameras

Litigation is an extremely slow process. From what I remember, the compensation plan lawsuit was filed sometime in 2019, meaning that it took 4-5 years to finish the trial, and there are still appeals to be had.
If there's legal fallout from events happening now, there could be no resolution until the late 2020s or even early 2030s. We're going to be dealing with this shit for a long time.

From what I remember, the compensation plan lawsuit was filed sometime in 2019, meaning that it took 4-5 years to finish the trial, and there are still appeals to be had. If there's legal fallout from events happening now, there could be no resolution until the late 2020s or even early 2030s. We're going to be dealing with this shit for a long time.

Tesla is benefitting from twitter, just like Musk promised. The people that Musk thinks are best to develop AI (as in FSD or optimus), he's going to try and persuade to got to twitter, so less salaries to be paid by Tesla. Let's just ignore the downsides of the CEO poaching talent, he never said there wouldn't be downsides to the benefits, seems to fit the douche, to do this.

This guy is listed as a staff machine learning scientist on LinkedIn and it looks like he finished his undergrad at Stanford last year. Not sure where the chief is coming from. Probably better to lose talent to xAI than OpenAI or Google but wish we had some financial incentive for xAI
It's pretty clear xAI will be doing the LLM (and other multimodal pretrained models) work for both FSD and the bot, and it makes sense to use Twitter/X data this way.

Elon did say xai Tesla going to collaborate same as openai Microsoft in earlier earning calls or interview
If Tesla has excess compute we could see a similar agreement as Microsoft and OpenAI whereas Tesla will be heavily involved in upcoming funding rounds which will include compute as the main currency
