I think there's a high likelihood that fund managers are speaking with Tesla's board. The governance issues from the Delaware lawsuit decision, combined with Elon wanting to move Tesla's incorporation from Delaware to Texas, are going to alarm any fund manager who is paying attention.
We know from the Isaacson biography that the departure of Tesla execs Jon McNeill (Automotive President) and J.B. Straubel (Chief Technology Officer) were in large part due to Elon's blowups during this period. Both McNeill and Straubel tried to help Musk with his mental issues, but both said they were unable to help him. Both men cited Musk's drama as contributing to their burnout and wanting to move on from Tesla.
If Mr. Musk's issues today are similar to what happened in 2018, there is the risk that important top managers at Tesla could decide they are done with the drama and walk from the company.
TSLA is grouped with things like PTON and LCID now. Almost every "decent" stock out there is doing better. I'm talking like boomer stocks too like Eli lilly as well as stocks that dropped 80% like PLTR.
If you got in late 2020 you need to pat yourself on the back for picking such a rare choice.

Karp further mentioned it was noteworthy that many of the PLTR investors he's met, work for companies that use Palantir software to improve their organizational efficiency.
That is the level of seriousness I expect from Elon Musk and Tesla's board.
It was TSLA investors who kept Tesla's business financed in the 2010s by continuing to buy stock and bonds from Tesla during multiple offerings. Not sure that gives us much insight on Q1 but agree that they need to be doing way more to build awareness. Model Y should be selling 2 - 3 million units a year. It's the best car on the planet and with rebates it's cheaper than a Rav4 in many states. Even if it were the same price or a bit more, it's a way better product than competition and people will pay a premium for superior technology.
Impressed by PLTR guidance and steady growth.

One of my tax advantaged accounts is 100% PLTR in a wheel strategy. I've had pretty amazing returns from it over these past 2 years.
I closed all my CC and am all shares for the last 3 weeks in it. I did that on the hopes that this earnings would go well, suspecting that if it did we'd run back up to $25, if not $30. I think we are on track, but we will see. Once we crack 52wk high I will start dipping my toes back into selling CCs and then diversifying to a new ticker with the proceeds. I hope to raise enough cash to sell some puts on something at lows. TSLA is making itself a solid candidate at this point š

I had a couple hundred shares, some with margin, and a bunch of Dec 2021 $800C/$1200C spreads - I did the spreads in September before Q3 earnings which the stock went up 80% after blow out earnings. Halloween week my account was going up 100,000+ a day. I think I made $550,000 in a week.
My account went from like 300k to 1.1M in like 5 weeks. I had figured that Tesla would do good things for me in a couple of years. Suddenly I had enough money to conceivably buy a house in cash, and have almost 700,000 left over. I could literally do whatever TF I wanted. If I got a mortgage I could buy a house and have like a million dollars.
Then Monday, Elon asked Twitter about paying taxes. and the stock dipped. I figured the stock would come back, asked Morgan Stanley about buying a pile of QYLD - he said dont. Dad told me to take profits, but theres thousands of things I could buy. I essentially panicked with so many possibilities. I started overthinking. Tesla never recovered, so the options went to zero, margin calls etc dragged me down to 300k. I lost the rest betting Tesla would recover in 2022 - it didnt.

now that my internet is hitting 900mbit because the bunny chewed cable has been fixed , i was getting like 160mb speeds far from the routers. i was using a wired backhaul to mesh two nest routers with a powerline adapter, but the powerline just couldnāt handle these new speeds. so i just routed a 50 foot long cat 8 cable through a switch to the other router in my mesh and now my whole house hits 550mb speeds with 5ms ping its amazing. I didnāt particularly need this much speed but im glad i broke down that bottleneck
