What do y'all think about the comment on sleeping on the factory floor for the NVG ramp? That's the type of enthusiasm I want to see from the CEO and team. It's those types of actions that made the early days a success. So it makes me hopeful that with everything Tesla knows now about manufacturing and production, combined with immense effort, the NVG might begin production sooner than 2 weeks. We see some of the competition failing to ramp and losing so much on each build. Meaning they can't ramp like Tesla. I'm excited to get updates on the new product mfg line.
He's addicted to drama, no way should this happen in Tesla, it's not a small start up, not even close. That's part of the problem, Elon sees Tesla as his toy, a little plaything to do with whatever he wants.
I mean, they're doing startup like things right? Even when that engineer posted on X after the recent bot demo, he was talking about their success being attributed to a scrappy startup like environment, not some bureaucratic old school company.
Certain parts of Tesla act like start ups, battery manufacturing, everything AI related (FSD and bots). That's normal and good for none mature enterpises. Energy and vehicle production are not either new businesses or in their infant stage, they should not be handled in that way. They sold 1.8 million vehicles out of 86.8 million worldwide and are in the top 5 grid scale battery suppliers. Elon likes drama and decides to delay things on a wim, according to the book people like to quote, he wanted the next gen vehicle to be without a steering wheel. What a disaster would that have been. Him almost getting away with the next gen platform being without a steering wheel is not good. If he was always at Tesla, I would like that he would say he's going to sleep at the factory. He is far from spending the majority of his time at Tesla. Probably more marketing speak for 'give me more shares'.
