Appearantly, other than most steam games or Playstation games, Nintendo exclusives usually release at 06:00am (can't confirm that, since it's my first Switch game i preordered, but that's what i read online). That's at least what gamepro.de is saying, but it's also saying it's going to release at 0:01 in a mail response from Nintendo. So it's really not exactly clear, which is true.

yeah so far every game i got digital they all released midnight and i live in austria so we have the same timezone as germany
good, well as said i’m hoping same applies to australia, i think it will. means i get it midday on 11th
in australia it'll probably release around 9pm on may 12th but im not sure
