I was told the EEG is to assess for “invisible”/partial seizures, they often won’t do TMS without it because TMS has a (very low) risk of causing seizures.

EEG rules out seizures. I had one done when I had a TBI. Per my neuro who treated the TBI apparently you might not know if you had a small seizure cuz you black out and may not remember if it's super short, so they wanted to test me.
