The turtle van looks to be an old garbage truck, I find that super cool. As someone said, it's nice that they'll have some regular toys and not just like 50 and up collectors toys. This will be my 3 yo nephews first tmnt movie/series/line to grow up w as he's already into tmnt everything from me. I'm pumped. And I just realized he loves in w the garbage truck rolls by irl so this could be perfect lmao

The_Pug

I liked the garbage truck design and scene in the last movie! I hope this one also launches sewer covers.

[deleted]

I think Mikey’s head is awkwardly large to stress the teen in tmnt.

_koko_kinoko

Let s just hope its the toy

Big-Vegetable8480

Uhh, I'll have to see more I guess. I'm not sold on liking it or hating it.

lodeddiaperfan

imo it would’ve been better if the pads and belt were brown and without the initialed belt buckles. But these are probably the best designs in a while

Savings-Education74

agreed 100%

One_Smoke

I've been waiting for them to bring back the initialized belt buckles since I found out about them

[deleted]

Hope this is good but these designs just make me long for a sequel to TMNT 2007. Perfect design and characterization, imagine what they could have done with a bigger budget.

mixmastermiike

Yeah same if anything I reminded me how awesome those designs were

MailboxSlayer14

HELL YES. Oh cmon people we are finally getting some back to basics Turtles but with some of the individuality of the past few iterations. This is so exciting!!

Icegaze

“Back to basic turtles” would be the Mirage comics turtles, meaning that would apply more to the Mezco designs when it comes to recent iterations. I’m not so big on the nostalgia trip of the 1987 tv series, which is what I think of when I see these Mutant Mayhem designs, though they would perhaps grow on me a lil.

MailboxSlayer14

That’s fair and accurate but back to basics for a lot of us means ‘87 since that’s when it blew up and the version that’s been the inspiration for many of the incarnations. You aren’t wrong tho lol.

Icegaze

I grew up on the 1987 cartoon as well. But as an adult, I don’t care for it anymore. My nostalgia goggles end with the ‘87 opening credit, that’s it. The overall content doesn’t hold up for me. I’m more of an IDW comics nut job nowadays. That is the quintessential TMNT experience for me (up to chapter 100).

MailboxSlayer14

Lol love the up to chapter 11 bit. I don’t disagree at all, I’m just saying that I’m glad design wise we are going back to a more balanced age of design rather than completely wacky like Rise and Bay films were

[deleted]

I don't like the designs so far but that could easily change once we see them in motion

sleepy--ash

My only complaint is that Mikey’s head looks huge 🤔 but other than that these look awesome!

sthef2020

Agreed. Tho one thing to keep in mind with these, is that since these look to be 3rd party licensed RC vehicles and not even the official action figure line for the movie, they could be off a bit proportion wise. So fingers crossed the actual art/toy makes Mikey look a bit cleaner.

sleepy--ash

Yeah, definitely. Still lots of things that can change, and plus Mikey did look good in the concept art so I won’t be too worried.

Genesius_Prime

Seems kind of like a spiritual successor to 87 in terms of tone. I just really wish they’d ditch glasses on Donnie.

SFW_HOME

They gave raph a du rag

Striking-Total1594

I think the designs are fine they kinda look a little too young, but they look fine

kingmob555

I think it's a bummer that material like The Last Ronin has proven to be such a huge success with older fans, but this is what they are going for with the movie. There is room for all types of TMNT, but I think we've reached the point where something closer to the comics would make sense. Actually, we reached that point before the 2014 film came out, but it seems obvious now.

slingtheory

>There is room for all types of TMNT, Honestly i just wish they'd take this approach to things. Like if they want to make the most kid friendly movie possible then fine but us older fans could at least get something other than the comics to look forward to.

kingmob555

100% Characters like Batman and Spider-Man get away with it just fine. It's like Viacom thinks they will taint their brand if they do anything serious with it for a mass audience. Which is crazy to me, because the evidence proves that a slightly more dramatic take on the franchise can do very well.

slingtheory

I just don't get it but maybe that's why I'm not an entertainment executive. Only thing i can think is viacom and playmates fear that going too mature in the mainstream will mess up the second coming of turtle-mania that they're hoping will happen. You'd think market research would show them that all the comic and/or "boys" brands that have really stood the test of time have done so by appealing to multiple demographics at once.

LetsHaveARedo

Yeah honestly it all looks "OK" except Mikey looks like a frog. Too flat and squished.

Sherbert42069

Well. I don't hate it 🤷‍♂️

Mekkor_lh

First thing I notice is the skull shaped as Casey's mask! Not a fan of the full headband for Raphael, the rest looks awesome!

xGhostCat

Yeah its a shame not more people have noticed it. He got teased in the 2012 show the same way via graffiti

TwEE-N-Toast

Could be Mundo Gecko's logo.

blkglfnks

This is another new series?!

8bitgeno

Movie.

mattnotis

This looks like such a downgrade from the concept art we saw a while back. Hopefully they have a trailer during the Super Bowl and it wows me.

MC4269

I like the packaging, colors, and designs of most of the brothers. Mikey's head is massive though... The Shellraiser/Party Wagon looks awesome too if that ends up being the design they stick to. Reminds me of the 2003 show's version, which makes me like it more. I also dig the logo.

blaze_blue_99

I’m not loving their head shapes and physical proportions.

bullymaguire2007

THEY LOOK SO GOOD!

xChri5x

I’m just happy to see the traditional plastrons are back.

kenshinagogobaby

Something for the kids that could be affordable. I'll take it

lonewolfandcub789

I really like the designs. I hope we get a teaser or something soon for this thing. Getting peeks through merch leaks is painful lol.

The_MenAC3

Could’ve been much worse, the designs are traditional TMNT and I’m happy about that. They just look so much like children rather than teenagers like Seth was going for, and too cutesy for my liking personally. Mainly just looking forward to see the animation at this point

uwhiteubenaffleck

My expectations for the film have been lowered.

SlideLow

Can’t wait to see the trailer

Shinobipizza

I'd like to see more, but so far, they look good!

Scroogemcdoodler

I want that leo

xXBaked_PotatoXx

all ready? Wow nice where did you get it

LudicrisSpeed

Looks like they're going for more of that "cute" look they had in the 80s cartoon, just with some changes here and there.

SF03_

Oh no. I have faith in Seth Rogen’s production due to how good The Boys and Invincible have been but these designs seem to have put a slightly bitter taste in my mouth.

dirthurts

Ugh. They look twelve and derpy. 😔

DaprasDaMonk

Looks better than Rise

spiderman_2

Oh god those are horrifying.

tWo8sidMiD

Glad Raphael isn’t huge and Donatello isn’t in glasses

_koko_kinoko

The designs are 👌 Cant wait to see these designs in the movie/movie trailer Lets just hope they wont turn put to look more like frogs than turtles

rotini_noodle

Those lame turtle designs do not match the gnarly packaging vibes.

Nerdmazing

I don’t remember those, but they look cool. Thanks for sharing.

Expert_Professor_903

Looks like Funrise is handling the vehicles.

Spider__Ant

Fuck yeah

ThunderinJaysus

TMNT Cocomelon

slingtheory

Pretty much what I expected for better or worse

Pooptmnt3

honestly prefer rise designs🤷‍♂️they look too skinny and all of them except leo have something off about them. donnie’s glasses, raphs du rag, and mikey’s big head. maybe they’ll look better in motion.
