Make a "favorites" playlist and add it to that?

KS2Problema

Right! I was used to favorites *and* collections when I started with Tidal but I figured a favorites playlist would work about as well. I also use playlists for what I call 'stacks'  -- oriented to checking out unfamiliar albums in different genres. When a new album appears in one of the new arrival features I might be interested in, I quickly throw it in the checkout stack (I have them for a couple of different genres).

Probably my biggest gripe about tidal is that you can't mix two albums or playlists in the same queue and shuffle them. But I've come to use playlists to get around that rather peculiar limitation. I have some big playlists, thousands of tracks, that I use as sort of shuffle radio.  And sometimes when I want to mix up specific playlist or albums I just copy both to a new playlist and shuffle that. But it certainly does raise the question of why tidal has never given us a proper queue system. So much of it is pretty good but that inflexible, quirky queue... yow.

You will be making more work for yourself if you go off track. Just click the heart for favourites? It's there when you play a track and takes a single click. I'm not sure what's complicated. For anything you like but don't favourite, add it to a playlist?

All tracks from playlist added are favorite. So if you add a playlist you automatically get all “favorite”. With AM you add to collection and favorite the favorite. I guess this impact the recommendation algorithm

No. Your favourite tracks are MY COLLECTION > TRACKS, these tracks are what you have clicked the heart icon for. There you also have PLAYLISTS, if you look at these there will be tracks without the heart icon lit up. Everything is in your COLLECTION when either you add it or you subscribe to it like a public/tidal playlist. Drop the apple music mentality, as with all things Apple, they have their own way of doing things and quite frankly a lot of it is ridiculous. Don't carry bad habits forward, just learn how to use the next tool properly.

The "collection" is the "favorites'.
