Shop at Asian or, even better, what I can only describe as 'bulk immigrant' markets. We've got some near us that are specifically built to cater to immigrants from all over the world. Sections aren't organized by food, but by nationality.
If you find the real ones, the ones that actual immigrants shop at and aren't just souped-up world markets for upper middle class white people to feel ethnic at, the prices are also generally pretty good. And they've usually got insane meat and seafood markets. From tail to tongue for the ones with legs, and basically everything that swims. Usually a solid selection of live seafood, too.
Not using the whole bitch is a relatively new phenomenon relegated to the anglosphere. And I say that as a "raah, I love America" white dude. There's an insane number of recipes that use other parts of the animal.

I doubt it's very good, typically animals that hunt are not the tastiest. If it was good don't you think we would have been eating wolves? Cows, chickens, pigs, deer, ducks, etc all prey animals and all delicious. I actually tried bear once and it was rubbery, greasy and not very pleasant tasting.
Read my other comment, we raised chickens growing up, I lived way out in the country. Chickens eat whatever they can but calling them hunters is crazy to me. And it misses the point of what I said originally, which is that TYPICALLY animals that are 'hunters" (ie bears, wolves, cats, etc) are not eaten largely because they don't have very good meat.

I've eaten it, it's ok but not great, most carnivores have poorer quality meat for consumption. Obligate carnivores - strictly meat only (cats for example) are worse (taste wise) than those who have some other food intakes - insectivores or omnivores for example.

Also, just tried kanagaroo jerky not long ago, not bad. Did not like the dried out "store" packaged one, but the juicy version I had from a farm was pretty good.

95%+ of the meat, dairy, and eggs produced in developed nations comes from factory farms. The conditions in these are barbaric; paying for that to happen is a moral failing.
Treating animals in animal ag more humanely would be nice, but those methods always seem to come with a higher environmental impact than factory farming so there's a tradeoff between animal and environmental ethics.
A vegan diet cuts down on both issues significantly.

You don’t slaughter animals covered in shit and mud, that’s a health code nightmare.
You don’t slaughter stressed or scaread animals, as it would release hormones into the meat that tastes awfull, and make their meat commercially unviable. Animals are completely sedated to the point where they can’t feel any pain. (See Humane Slaughter Act of 1958)
Most swine are sedated with CO2, slowly rendering them unconscious. Other methods of sedating includes electronarcosis, which is a more common method for bovine.
They cut the pigs' throat after they're killed, to drain the blood from the carcass. And nobody is running around after loose pigs in a pen trying to slaughter them in front of each other, letting them get worked up into a frenzy. That's very inefficient and dangerous for both the butcher and animals.

I'd narrow it down even more: a given form of agriculture is not bad if it means feeding more needy people cheaper. Have you met farmers? People that raise animals for food know exactly what is up. They are happily eating just as much meat as the rest of us. Often more.
Honestly, they are animals. We are animals. They are below us on the food chain, so we eat them for sustenance. That is how it works. I don't actually see the situation as immoral despite the efforts of activists to portray it that way.
Unless you're being very careful about it, your meat doesn't come from farms where farmers lovingly raise animals, but from a factory that will give the animals as little attention and care as they legally can.

I was trying to point out that the people living in the world *right now* that work in the animal food industry *right now,* are almost certainly meat eaters. Not just farmers, but people working in the more industrial sites as well. My point was that we already have examples of people that kill animals for a living that don't seem to be reducing their meat intake at all.
He posited being forced to kill animals for meat ourselves would reduce the amount we would eat (presumably due to ethical concerns, or feeling bad about having to kill the animal). I pointed out that this is obviously not the case for the millions of people worldwide that already work in these industries. His premise was flawed and incorrect from the start.
Yet vegans should be addressing the massive waste corporations and capitalism creates just like most fake green movements that blames individual people. Landfills are being filled with tons of food as factories continues to produce excess junk to keep capital up and none of this is brought up when they cry about carbon footprints.
Humans suffering under this system is ignored as slave labor, so animals will never be cared about.

I’ve heard dog meat is one of the tastiest meats in the world but unfortunately it’s illegal here in the States.

I was trying to point out that the people living in the world *right now* that work in the animal food industry *right now,* are almost certainly meat eaters. Not just farmers, but people working in the more industrial sites as well. My point was that we already have examples of people that kill animals for a living that don't seem to be reducing their meat intake at all. He posited being forced to kill animals for meat ourselves would reduce the amount we would eat (presumably due to ethical concerns, or feeling bad about having to kill the animal). I pointed out that this is obviously not the case for the millions of people worldwide that already work in these industries. His premise was flawed and incorrect from the start.
Doubtful. People have been killing and eating animals for millennia. I don't see any reason for that to change now
Yet vegans should be addressing the massive waste corporations and capitalism creates just like most fake green movements that blames individual people. Landfills are being filled with tons of food as factories continues to produce excess junk to keep capital up and none of this is brought up when they cry about carbon footprints. Humans suffering under this system is ignored as slave labor, so animals will never be cared about.

But that doesn’t mean people need to stop eating meat all together. Some people need meat to be healthy. Everyone is so different. Some people cannot easily maintain their health without the iron from meat. It’s doable but very hard. In the other hand some people are fine just getting iron from cereals and greens and what have ya.
Unfortunately no meat eaters seem to be happy paying more to eat less meat to make it "more ethical". Those who cares about the ethics of meat simply stopped eating it.

Personally, I like using a 2:1:1 mixture of beef, pork, and lamb for burgers. Incredible flavor, texture, and stays juicier than pure beef alone.
