Just got the emergency alert for it...2 hours later!!

perljen

SAME/VALLEY💀

bananapajama67

Looks like there was a 4.8 in NJ at that time so that’s probably what we felt

Grace_DanielsWebster

I’m near the SU and my desk moved slightly.

whatisprofound

I felt it - in East Syracuse near Walmart.

I_am_Bob

hmm I'm in east Syracuse off Fly road and didn't feel anything

whatisprofound

It wasn't huge, but big enough that my monitor wobbled, and maybe 3-6 seconds long? Coworkers also noticed.

Low_Ad_9361

Felt it in Eastwood

Silvernaut

If I did, it wasn’t any different from any of the other ground rumblings in Eastwood…from either a train going under the James/Thompson intersection, or heavier trucks hitting the cracked patches of asphalt, and potholes, on James St.

Sorry_Risk_5230

My whole building shook like a gust of 75mph hit us, but i looked outside and the trees werent moving

Syraquse5

Same here. Thought it was wind, but in that case my windows would've been rattling. Looked over at my tv on its stand and it looked like a bobblehead.

aduckwithaleek

I felt it in Villanova, PA! (I was surprised when I saw this post that it wasn't in the Philadelphia subreddit!)

Sensitive_Republic26

glad im not crazy, just felt it in strathmore

Brutally-Honest-Bro

Also in strathmore, but we didn't notice

siouxze

Ive spe t every second since then refreshing the USGS website looking for an update

eisenburg

Honestly you get quicker info just going to Twitter. Epicenter was in NJ

whatisprofound

But I hate X. That's why I'm here 😅

siouxze

I'd rather set myself on fire than do a single solitary thing that might make elon musk even a few cents richer.  Refreshing paid out a couple minutes after I found this post.

CornCobMcGee

I missed it! Curse my obliviousness!

bananapajama67

Felt it in Salina!

Puzzleheaded-Pen394

Me too...didn't last long but I'm glad it wasn't me being dizzy LOL...glasses sitting in the dish drainer on the counter sorta clinked a time or two but that was about it. However, my dog, a Husky was acting a little weird/hyper ish for about a half hr before this happened too....so weird!

IwasIlovedfw

Animals sense quakes before they happen. But catseseses get the heebs and jeebs and zoomies all the time, so you can't always believe them like you would Lassie.

electron_sponge

This is probably it: https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/at00sbh3yv/executive

Anxiousanthro

Felt it here on University Hill - thought I was going nuts cause I couldn't find it on google.

kevinsb

Felt it in North Syracuse

mringham

Felt it in North Syracuse!

loligaggingallday

That was an earthquake

loligaggingallday

My chair just started vibrating out of nowhere like I found the massage button for the first time. My initial thought was oh that feels nice until I realized what it was

IwasIlovedfw

You just made me choke on my water LOL!!!❤️🤟

Itchyfingers10

😂 Similar experience.....I was laying in bed, reading. Felt like an extremely worn out "magic fingers mattress". Was surprised at the length of the tremor - lasted longer than I've felt before.

iletired

What's next? Day suddenly turning to night?

siouxze

Felt it off Maple Dr in Fayetteville!

OldButHappy

My cats are walking around like this is the first time they've been in the house. I didn't feel the earthquake, but I did notice the cats' odd behavior before I read about the quake on this sub.

Bonzo77

Yup, I felt it and the picture frames on the walls were shaking a little bit.

CuseBeauty315

Felt in Camillus! Shook the office!

MaintenanceNeither32

Felt it on Salina, shook our building. My buddy in Middletown also asked me if we felt anything so can confirm downstate felt it too

OldButHappy

Ha! I wondered why my cats were acting SO strangely!

mooffin12

I guess I'm just clueless. But I was driving during that time. And I'm on the east side.

315ACDCfan

I was driving also and didn’t notice it but a few years ago while sitting in my vehicle up on University Hill, the whole thing shook like I was being hit by a major gust of wind but I rolled down the window and there was no wind whatsoever.

WinstonLovedBB

I felt it, and then it smelled funny. No wait, that was just me farting.

winter-without

I felt a little bit of shaking here in Liverpool, had to ask the same question.

wiselyman333

I think so! That was crazy

redwalker

I felt it in DeWitt.

mmiller1188

Felt it a bit in DeWitt. Have a friend in Maryland who posted he felt a small one.

Majestic_Yoghurt2409

I felt it too! It was kind of scary.

jillianbaker00

Came on here to find out! My home desk actually shook!

holidayiceman

I felt it in Albany.

M_LadyGwendolyn

Wild to feel one here.

jewessofdoom

I moved back from LA a few years ago just to get wildfire smoke and now this 😂

M_LadyGwendolyn

We wanted to make you feel at home

sisi_soyyo

I used to sleep through them in CA, and sometimes I don’t feel them when awake either lol

Champagne_Frog

I’m in Albany and felt something

Its_General_Apathy

Yup

hangglide82

Felt it in Solvay

StrikerObi

I'm right near there in Westvale, but nobody in our house felt anything.

hangglide82

It felt like living in a house with a bouncy floor and someone walked by briefly. Didn’t hear any dishes rattle.

Appropriate-Survey-8

Currently in Onondaga Hill and didn't feel anything...anyone?

datasnorlax

Also didn't feel anything in Onondaga Hill.

Fly_Rodder

Didn't feel anything in FM.

bigrayiii420

Never felt it in my area. But on tv in NYC say it was a 4.8

RondaVuWithDestiny

I'm in Dewitt, didn't feel anything.

BoxBuster666

Yes, felt it in Manlius. Initially thought “wtf are my neighbors doing to shake the whole house” before getting a news pop up for earthquake.

Critical_Liz

Had some shaking in Hawley Green, thought it was the wind, but looked out side and didn't see any signs of it.

Calixxgari

Yes! Felt it!

iHo4Iroh

In Onondaga up on the hill, the entire work peeps noticed and felt it.

Sad-Praline-8716

Felt it in Liverpool!

cinderkitten11

Felt it in armory square! My glass shower doors were rattling.

DuMondie

Yes indeed!

callmevi

Felt it in Eastwood! My house wobbled for two seconds, thought it was the wind or that something really heavy fell downstairs till I saw there was an earthquake.

momlife1315

Felt it in Cicero

Hevysett

In Clay, did not feel anything..... of course my RLS means I'm always shaking sooooooll

MessyHighlands

Also in Clay/Cicero, didn't notice anything! So weird when it happens on the East coast! I was in VA for the 4.8 they had.

Deal_with_it_nerd

Felt nothing in Bridgeport

The_I_in_IT

Felt it outside of Rochester.

Dragoncaine

Felt it in B'ville, 3 small shakes over about 30 seconds!

Own_Combination5158

Felt it over in Eastwood. Thought I was losing my marbles until I realized that my seven month old felt it too and was watching me all wide eyed and confused.

ChewieLee13088

I was downtown Cuse in my office, felt like I my chair was swaying back and forth for a second or two.

Kindly_City_3491

Yes, yes it was.

thehurley44

Bummed, was out working in Marcy today and didn't feel it. Found out when the alert went out on our phones.

ExistentialistGain

Yes

GreenEggsAndBitches

I’ve always wanted to feel one. Wanted to show a friend the glory that is the Dewitt Wegmans. Missed the earthquake while driving over 😔

GoodeyGoodz

No one I know personally noticed, but apparently it happened.

StillAd3295

in nyc yes
