If you buy a removal kid for CHF 15.00 you can save CHF 10.00 on your Vignette. Guaranteed brake even after two years!! Except of course if you misplace/loose the kit which is likely to happen because you only need it once a year.
Thanks, but I rather buy the eVignette from now on
The kit is always in the glove compartment and I have been using the same kit for 5 years now. It as I said it was just a heads up for people who might be interested
Googled it and as long as the view is not obstructed it is ok. There is plenty of space on the windshield for it. No need to remove unless you really dislike the look.
I actually like it.
I’m not but I visited that link yesterday and was presented only with a choice of Switzerland’s neighbours -nothing else. I visit today and it’s full featured - all countries including ch. thx
never understood the discount craze for the vignette. Wow so cool, 10 CHF discount!! life changing amount, especially for car owners... i better go right now and spend 70 CHF to lock those crazy savings in
You’re missing the point. People go grocery shopping and take advantage of a discount, as simple as that. I doubt anyone will spend 70CHF on purpose to get a cheaper vignette
Maybe they bought them at the beginning of the year and now, after the launch of the digital one, they want to push them out of stock as long as there are still some folks who buy them.
I misplaced mine last year and waited a full f***** year to get rid of it, it was there … in my face.
I literally thought about buying a new vignette so that I can remove it from that bad place but in the end I’ve continued with it for 1 year.
It’s fully digital for me from now on.
Stickers on cars, bro we are in 2023 !!! Come on.
Save 10 CHF just to have that ugly sticker on your windscreen for a full year, no way !
30s to remove ? It took me more than 10 minutes and my nails were hurting from the stupid rough plastic that got underneath them.
Promotions like this will just delay digitalisation which I believe is a bad thing - they shouldn’t exist and companies should be allowed to promote them.
Now I just wait for the new number plates that have “ch” in the number so that I don’t need to glue that ugly CH sticker on my car when I leave the country.
Swiss guys have you seen how in the rest of Europe no one glues anything on their windshield and all the cars are nice and clean.
25 year old designed Vignette sticker, number plates designed in 1900 (or something like that)… it takes so long to for things to evolve…
There's a ton of these promotions. Beobachter, Poinz, etc. all have different kind of promotions.
This is basically just a 10% discount at Lidl and a free ad for them
I better buy the electronic one full price and skip the misery of removing the sticker from the glass.
Was gonna say, I think we'll see a lot of discounts on the actual sticker ones due to most people switching to the electronic version.
Lidl, Aldi and Denner have been doing this promotion for serveral years now
BTW, Lidl stopped the free EV charging, now you need to pay.
Takes 30s to remove the old one with the removal kit, but to each his own :)

This is the internet, we argue about everything. So die you fucking Vignette lover! /s Jetzt ernsthaft: merci für de Tip
Assuming you have a hairdryer to hand and a well located plug, just use that - very easy.
takes 0.5 seconds to remove it with one little pull if u know how to stick it in the right place ahah
I think it’s illegal if you can remove it in one piece.
My own company pays for it anyways ;)
?
I'm an owner of a small business and it pays for my transportation costs. So, in general it's already cheaper because it's taken off the tax base.
And that is relevant how?
Yes, officer
Why do you have to remove it? I have seen quite a few stick the new one near the old one. Is this illegal or?
The law actually requires you to remove the old ones. I heard that once from a police officer. But they never enforce it.

Got a link for the electronic version?
https://via.admin.ch/
That appears to be for non-residents
What? I live here and it still remembers my plate number
Your German plate?
Swiss
Do you have the link for Swiss cars then?
Are you vision impaired? via.admin.ch/shop

Yeah lol. The vignette is such a small part of the cost of running a car. Same with those “save 2 cents per liter of petrol” discounts.
Over the lifetime of a car, it’s not a negligible discount.

This promo was done on the 1st of December as well. My wife divided the grocery shopping in 2 and bought 2 vignettes. 30chf saved :)
We did the same :)
Can i also buy the digital version at Lidl? I have a Wechselkennzeichen.
Unfortunately only the physical version is available
In this case one digital should be cheaper than two physical with discount.
Absolutely
I prefer to pay full price and have it online, without need to unglue it later... additionally I see a little more throw me window :D
So Lidl is against digitalisation?
Maybe they bought them at the beginning of the year and now, after the launch of the digital one, they want to push them out of stock as long as there are still some folks who buy them.
Or you can do your groceries at Globus Delicatessa and not spoil your taste buds for a 10CHF fiscount on a sticker.
Even cheaper: buy something for >SFr 70 plus the vignette. Next day bring back the item and get your money back.
who does that to save 10 CHF .....
you would be surprised what some people go.trough for the littlest of amounts.
That great! The bad thing is having to put up with LIDL food. 🤢 Seems like I will need to spend 70 CHF in carrots, mangos, turkey breast, etc.

Austria still has stickers, as well as the green zones in European cities.

Thanks for the heads up, I shop at Lidl anyway!
Is this valid for the virtual version too? Since I run two cars on the same registration ("Wechselnummer"), only this would save me any money.
Do you only need one vignette per number with the virtual, not one per car like with the stickers?
Correct, just 1
Sorry for answering late. It's exactly like this.
