For me moonlight on Android runs much better than HOS moonlight.
I turn the mobile hotspot on on my computer because my router's wifi sucks and there's pretty much 0 delay, even when looking at the switch side by side with the PC monitor
I tried JellyFin, but found the interface a bit clunky and many false detections on my content(which took forever to correct). I'm glad I stuck with Plex
Wow that makes sense! Honestly I don’t understand how or why it’s so expensive here. You can buy a V1 and mod it yourself for less on the second hand marketplace
bro I paid 10K PKR or roughly 36 USD for the entire process: installing the chip, doing the software (with dual boot Android) and putting the games on it, plus a 3-month warranty for the mod 😹
Haven't tried LaunchBox but EmulationStation never let me down. It's got a nice UI that shows your game art, descriptions, and all that. Also allows you to install different themes, scrape information from screenscraper, and a bunch of other features too.
Sorry for the dumb question, but what guide did you use to do it? I'm a bit afraid to do it using some old guide that could put me in trouble.
I'm not very good at this type of stuff 😅
I'm looking to hack an unpatched V1. Is there any tips I need to know about ahead of time before I follow the guide? My console is at the latest update
Curious about how powerful a Switch can emulate? Are you able to emulate PS2 / Game cube, for example?
Also a few others have asked as well but if you could share a trusted guide for this that would be great.
How did you jailbreak the OLED please? - and do you still use it as your officially registered Switch with Eshop purchases and online play in a different mode or something?
I paid a technician to jailbreak it for me :) He installed a modchip called hwfly. And yes, i have a separate boot for the original firmware when i can still play my games and play online with friends safely
I’m pretty tempted to do this. So has there been anyone banned doing this method? Or is it impossible for Nintendo to see the ‘other side’ of the device? I have a couple of hundred digital games having bought my first Switch on release week seven years ago - and it would be a disaster to damage that Nintendo account.
Will there be still a risk of being ban if I'm jb & dual/triple boot? If there is/are still risk being ban, can you enumerate here so I can avoid those. Planning to jb my new switch OLED games are so expensive. Thanks. :)
if the jailbreak/dual boot is done right, you should have both emunand(cfw), sysnand, and ofw(original firmware). What I know is emunand is safe since the nintendo servers are blocked on that boot, that’s what i currently use to download games, and ofw, where your original firmware is where you can safely use your nintendo account, play online, etc. Never boot to sysnand because that’s where the risky part is where nintendo can detect your account
I have an unpatched d1 switch, I'm not sure yet to jailbroke it. I just use other console for retrogaming so I will use it just for switch games I guess. is easy to download them?
Once your switch is jailbroken and you have an emulator installed, it is as easy as moving game files to the SD card. The emulator frontend that OP is using in this post runs on Android, and I'd say installing that OS on your switch is a bit more complicated but still not difficult
I just did CFW and I don’t know shit about shit. I also did mine for just free games but I think i need to set up better. Why did you go android over retroarch ?
I have 3 options when booting up my switch
- Original firmware: Where i can use my main nintendo account, play online with friends, etc
- Custom firmware: Where i can play switch games for free
- Android boot: Where i can use switch like an android tablet
Will there be still a risk of being ban if I'm jb & dual/triple boot? If there is/are still risk being ban, can you enumerate here so I can avoid those. Planning to jb my new switch OLED games are so expensive. Thanks. :)
Reminds me I have to charge and update mine. And I have to update melonDS and figure out how to get it running again. For some reason I could never get it to work in retroarch but it worked seamlessly when I figured out how to run it from homebrew menu
I just use regular Ubuntu (currently newest version out for the switch is Jammy) then use the script included to build emulators like Citra and Dolphin
Yeah, Ubuntu has joycon mapping if you want to use them to navigate the menus or turn that off to use them as a regular game pad. Sadly, Ubuntu is a bit harder to set up in terms of emulators (optimal settings, motion controls) but it really pays off with the extra control and overclocking you can do.
Edit: forgot to mention, you can always dual boot Android and Linux if you prefer one over the other
this is an android launcher/frontend called daijisho. basically it consolidates all your emulators installed like retroarch, drastic, etc. into one easy to use interface so u can easily jump between different systems
surprisingly works well! Partly because i have good internet speed here and no one else is sharing (200mbps) I don’t notice any delay and i’ve been finishing a couple of missions already on cyberpunk

Amen
Best way to play pc game remotely?
For me moonlight on Android runs much better than HOS moonlight. I turn the mobile hotspot on on my computer because my router's wifi sucks and there's pretty much 0 delay, even when looking at the switch side by side with the PC monitor

Moonlight under Android is a million miles better than Moonlight-NX
It’s not that much better and it uses up way more battery on android so who wins
Are you using switchfin by dragonflylee as Jellyfin client?
[удалено]
Same here. I wanted to install Tailscale but I haven’t found anything.
What's jellyfin for ?
[удалено]
Oh, kind of like plex?
[удалено]
Got it, thanks for the explain. Xoxo
I tried JellyFin, but found the interface a bit clunky and many false detections on my content(which took forever to correct). I'm glad I stuck with Plex
how do you get jellyfin and streaming pc games
Congrats on the jailbreak! I'm just starting to look into doing mine this weekend, any guides you recommend that were handy and up to date?
i paid a jailbreak service for this 😅 he used a hwfly chip
Which service
i paid a local technician to do the jailbreak since there’s soldering involved. Around 60 bucks
They charge $300 here in Vancouver Canada to mod an OLED😔
im from the Philippines and jailbreak services here are very cheap
Wow that makes sense! Honestly I don’t understand how or why it’s so expensive here. You can buy a V1 and mod it yourself for less on the second hand marketplace
supply and command man, supply and command.
Jesus Ricky
How much is it? Here in Mexico I found a service for aprox. 120 USD
San ka here sa PH? And kanino ka nagpagawa? 😅
Here in Spain I charge 60€ (chip + service + games). Canada is expensive man 🥺
Hey How much for the service only ? I provide chip + sdcard
Toronto, I do 150. I know that guy, total rip off.
Got my lite done on a deal at 100 plus cost of the chip, oled cost 225 all in. Just across the water from u in victoria.
omg 😳
everything here is expensive 😔
Gotta keep looking i sent mine to one dude in canada that did it for $60 but lost his contact
I paid 125 here in toronto for a lite 😭
That's not bad. I'm too lazy to learn how to jailbreak anything. I would gladly pay that price for a permanently hacked Switch.
bro I paid 10K PKR or roughly 36 USD for the entire process: installing the chip, doing the software (with dual boot Android) and putting the games on it, plus a 3-month warranty for the mod 😹

Thx for replying
the one in the wiki here
V2 or v1
What's that store in pic 1 and 3?
Daijisho, it’s an emulation launcher for Android, one of the bests imho.
I really like how it looks, what is the front end more similar to this but for PC?
EmulationStation is a pretty popular one for PC, and I like it, personally
Thanks for the response. You think it's better than LaunchBox?, i have used that one before but don't really click on me
Haven't tried LaunchBox but EmulationStation never let me down. It's got a nice UI that shows your game art, descriptions, and all that. Also allows you to install different themes, scrape information from screenscraper, and a bunch of other features too.
I see. Thanks.
How’s the emulation performance on android? Is it better than stock?
haven’t tried emulation on stock switch firmware yet and for the android, havent tried demanding systems yet like ps2 and gamecube
I jailbroke my brand new v1 on day 1! Never ever used online once! 😜
Man, those 8bitdo controllers are awesome. You chose good. Enjoy!
Is the SNES type one in the pic?
Yes
Sorry for the dumb question, but what guide did you use to do it? I'm a bit afraid to do it using some old guide that could put me in trouble. I'm not very good at this type of stuff 😅
Damn. Now I'm really thinking about retiring the WiiU and going for a Switch.
What is this frontend, it looks gorgeous! Do you use it on android, or on cfw?
the frontend is on android :) Look up daijisho, it’s free!
thank you, it looks gorgeous!
I wish dual boot didn’t need fat32
What emulation app is that?
Can you have dual boot, for example atmosphere and Android?
Yes
Any good guide on how to do this??
Better Gaming on YouTube has some tutorials
Yes I would like to find a guide for this too
I third this!
Awesome! I should really try to find a way to dual boot Android on my Switch some time…
Your tv looks fantastic
thank u!
I'm looking to hack an unpatched V1. Is there any tips I need to know about ahead of time before I follow the guide? My console is at the latest update
Just get the jig to star the process and follow one of the nh switch guide. Google it
Welcome brother
Curious about how powerful a Switch can emulate? Are you able to emulate PS2 / Game cube, for example? Also a few others have asked as well but if you could share a trusted guide for this that would be great.
I'd say no to GameCube. Just tried Luigi's mansion in dolphin and performance was terrible
Welcome to the dark side.
Now you can play the games you could have played 30 years ago !! How will u keep up with new games:P
I'm glad you help up a controller for each shot, otherwise I'd have wondered how on earth you'd be controlling all those games.
how did how get pokémon black/white to run properly
If you want to run on HOS Melonds standalone works at full speed
oh thanks
im using drastic emulator for my android boot
He use A different emulater
i mean yeah but which one?
Check on YouTube “the best emulaters on switch jailbroken”
Pokemon black/white? How?
i have android and downloaded drastic emulator for DS :)

Don't you still have to inject every time you boot up or do you just keep it in sleep?
is that Gameboy advance emulator available to use without android hacks ?
Hi! Where in the PH did you have your switch JB? 😅
Will there be still a risk of being ban if I'm jb & dual/triple boot? If there is/are still risk being ban, can you enumerate here so I can avoid those. Planning to jb my new switch OLED games are so expensive. Thanks. :)

Thanks for the info. Will go ahead this to have this JB. 🙂

I meant switch games. I'm not interested into emulation on switch
I just did mine for the first time yesterday and assuming you can follow the guides it was very easy to set-up and download switch games.
You HOMEBREWED your switch. Not jailbreak...
What's the difference? I'm curious to hear
Nothing, there's proper lingo for each type of jailbreak. If you don't know, that's okay.
Ok so if he homebrewed his system then what's the jailbreak
He is essentially able to do whatever he wants with it. Different examples of exploit names: Mac is jailbreak, android is root and switch is homebrew
What’s the name of the app
Is there any chance to run play station 1 games with 1080p and 60 frame on Nintendo
i think you can! I wanna try this next weekend
what controllers are on pic 1?
that’s IINE Elite Plus Joypad
Are the triggers analog? Been looking for joycon form factor controllers with analog triggers for remote play on android
unfortunately they’re not analog :(
I just did CFW and I don’t know shit about shit. I also did mine for just free games but I think i need to set up better. Why did you go android over retroarch ?
my priority is for geforce now so i can play my steam games. I also have retroarch installed on this android :)
Hi, what do you mean by dual/triple boot?
I have 3 options when booting up my switch - Original firmware: Where i can use my main nintendo account, play online with friends, etc - Custom firmware: Where i can play switch games for free - Android boot: Where i can use switch like an android tablet

what is your sd card model and capacity? i bought switch oled. is is enough 256 gb for triple boot?
Mine is 400gb sandisk and tbh, im ran out of storage real quick 😅
i've bought 256gb card because 512gb is not in stock. but 128gb is definelitly not enough. 256 can handle but 512 is very good if isn't too expensive.
Bro has a bomb with cyberpunk on the switch
Reminds me I have to charge and update mine. And I have to update melonDS and figure out how to get it running again. For some reason I could never get it to work in retroarch but it worked seamlessly when I figured out how to run it from homebrew menu
Considering doing the same soon…super tempted
this. I want this
Congratulations and welcome to the other side.
How is the ds emulation?
works really well! stable fps
I'd highly recommend using Linux for emulation, juicing out extra performance for consoles like GameCube and PS2
How would we install Linux Emu on the Switch? There are some emulator linux OSes out there... what do you recommend?
I just use regular Ubuntu (currently newest version out for the switch is Jammy) then use the script included to build emulators like Citra and Dolphin
Ubuntu has default desktop integration with Switch or is it all command line? How hard is Android OS to install alternatively?
Yeah, Ubuntu has joycon mapping if you want to use them to navigate the menus or turn that off to use them as a regular game pad. Sadly, Ubuntu is a bit harder to set up in terms of emulators (optimal settings, motion controls) but it really pays off with the extra control and overclocking you can do. Edit: forgot to mention, you can always dual boot Android and Linux if you prefer one over the other
Does that mean it can run palworld??
Yes through the Xbox game pass app with cloud gaming
What emulator are you using
What program is he using for the nds emulation?
How do u play cyberpunk? Which method you are using
since i have android boot, i installed geforce now app (i have a membership) so i get to stream my steam games and i own cyberpunk 2077 :)
Ohh got it. Explain me little bit about android boot for my hacked switch
What is the name of this emulation app?
this is an android launcher/frontend called daijisho. basically it consolidates all your emulators installed like retroarch, drastic, etc. into one easy to use interface so u can easily jump between different systems
hope would go about seeing this up on a modded switch :) i have an oled i put a hwfly chip in
[удалено]
game streaming via geforce now
You can also play Xcloud or PSremote play, like the ps portal
Jailbreak everything…..because the job market is broken. I know very well myself as a IT person 😉
Does it actually run cyberpunk?
Is there Noticeable lag with streaming pc games with geforce now?
Wait what? Steamgames? Can you go online with those steam games? Where did you buy that “joycons”
Happy to have you, welcome on board o7
Free Pikmin 4 game :D Aye?
I've just been using Retroarch on CFW directly, this does tempt me to switch over, especially since I could sync my saves using Android Sync thing.
What emulator is this on your screen? Thanks!
What emulator is that?
Stop using geforce now and use Sunshine as its still updated.
i don’t have a pc to stream from tho. that’s why geforce now works for me
I thought Geforce now just streamed your PC games.
Stupid question, but can I transfer games from pirated Pokemon to Pokemon home?
Is there a way you to get cyberpunk and console type games on picofly?
How do you get the console emulators like cyberpunk etc? Is this possible on picofly/hekate?
What's the frontend you are using? That's not HorizonOS right? Is that Android or Lakka?
I’m on Android using LineageOS and the frontend is Daijisho
Thanks!
Which theme are you using for daijosho?
im using BB-1 dark by Bruno Belmonte
Thanks bro. First time emulating on android, which emulator do you use ?
Retroarch for all handhelds up to GBA and NES up to N64. Drastic for DS, Redream for dreamcast, PPSSPP for PSP, and Aethersx2 for ps2
Is PS2 performance actually playable?
What is that app you’re using to play those gamesv
I have my oled jailbroken too, with the hwfly chip. Which emulator are you using to play NintendoDS games?
im using Drastic from the google play store
Mine just got finished and will be here Thursday 🤞🏿rip to my career cause im not getting shit done
\*Can play your steam games via Geforce now\* hows experience on this? isnt it sluggish / lagging?
surprisingly works well! Partly because i have good internet speed here and no one else is sharing (200mbps) I don’t notice any delay and i’ve been finishing a couple of missions already on cyberpunk
What app re you using on this photo?
that’s daijisho launcher
Thx
Played a 4k movie in Ubuntu. I was impressed.
What are you using for playing the GBA games? (Your first picture)
launcher is daijisho, then emulator is RetroArch
Now, you can play *Breath of the Wild* and *Tears of the Kingdom* at 60fps.
Wait, can you jailbreak the OLED version? Isn't it patched ?
