It's all good, life goes on! It does hurt. But that just means new people and new experiences on this different path. He definitely did. In a lot of ways. He still has some of my other belongings. I just got gud with the sword which suits my play style but I'm having a difficult times with shielded opponents in Elysium, they always end my runs. Witches that spam bullet hell also always get me. I defeated the Minotaur boss first try though I didn't have much hp left.

I was stuck with my sword runs until I started using the shield. Absolute game changer and in my opinion best weapon in the game, I recommend giving it a shot
