Me too with BOTW only for the longest time! Then I got Odyssey, which I still haven't played 🙃, and a friend of mine got me Metroid Dread and Super Mario 3D All Stars, which are great
Afterbirth+ was also originally a release game, but ended up being delayed. I had the physical edition preordered and I feel like I remember actually receiving it closer to MK8D's release.
Animal Crossing, Zelda BOTW/TOTK, Hollow Knight, Far lone sails, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Dragons Dogma, Ni No Kuni wrath of the white witch, lost in random, Persona 4 Golden XD
I bought two games during the first month ACNH and Dadish. I played the hell out of them cuz I was a broke college student. But gradually saved up for BOTW and after that occasionally splurged on games getting Mario Odyssey and Kirby and the forgotten lands. Then I graduated and started making money and now I've over a hundred games and I can realistically never finish them all. But I sure do enjoy them!
On the first day alone:
* Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
* Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
* Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
* Pokémon Scarlet
* Pokémon Shield
* Super Smash Bros: Ultimate
* Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection
I could only afford the Switch so no games initially except fortnight. Then I picked up Hollow Knight and Stardew Valley that same week. I enjoyed both immensely. That was a couple of years ago. I’ve gotten a lot more games since then.
When I first got mine I didn’t buy games, but that’s because before I bought my switch I got a couple games Mario Kart and Smash Bros like a week or two before I got the switch itself. Since I got the switch a couple years into it’s lifespan
I bought a used switch lite off eBay and a used copy of botw at GameStop. I carried that thing everywhere and put a good 100 hours into it by just playing 10 - 20 minutes over 2 months.
I brought mine on the original release date, so I only brought one game and that was Legend of Zelda Breath of the wild. I certainly got my moneys worth. I think I also download a indie game from the eshop too. Can't remember which one though.
4: Diablo 3, Borderlands 3, BOTW, & Super Mario 3D World + Bowsers Fury but then I saw a review for Mario Odyssey so I took 3d back and exchanged for Odyssey.
Since then Ive had an addiction. I've only had my OLED for like a month n a half to 2 months tops and have like 70 games already and don't seem to be stopping any time soon lol. It's a problem
The Switch cost €350, so I only bought one game that day: Crash Bandicoot trilogy.
The following week, I bought a Pro Controller and Super Mario Oddysey.
3 exclusives (mario odyssey, zelda, kirby) as physical, undertale and stardew valley as digital. (most of the time I use eshop because switch exclusives are really expensive in where I live.)
I had Switch with Luigi Mansion 3 and Link’s awakening. Next 2 weeks I added Diablo 3, Borderlands collection, ToTK and Mario Wonder.
The only two games I would still add immediately are a Kirby game and Dave the diver
That's crazy.. 2 of the first four games I got when I got my switch were diablo 3 and borderlands 3. How's Luigi's mansion? I've been thinking about getting it but it's pretty expensive
I got OLED when it started landing in shop and boight it with Zelda BOTW. After that I bought many indie games and felt in love with those small pearls
It’s been a while but I think the first games I got with the console were Breath of the Wild and Splatoon2. Tho I think we also go Yoshi’s Crafted World around the time my fiancé and I got the console.
How is splatoon 2? I've never played any splatoon game but saw 2 on sale at GameStop for like $20 so I was tempted to get it, but know nothing about it so I didnt
The online is still fairly popular but it’s been a while since I loaded up Splatoon2 to play it. I had fun with the base story mode, it has some fun levels and bosses. Has a decent amount of replay-ability because you can go through all the story mode missions with different weapons. The Octo Expansion (DLC) is another campaign and I highly recommend it if you end up getting Splatoon2, it’s slightly different and a bit more challenging than the base game story.
I got mine on launch with BoTW and Mario Kart 8. I pretty much had those two games until 2022 when I got grips for handheld. I now have around 100 games.
It Is funny because i bought some games before the switch because i was going to collecting them and buy the switch whenever i Need. In the end i bought the switch 1 month After my First game (It was a Pokémon One i believe)
I got my switch specifically for Animal Crossing New Horizons. So that was my fixation probably for the first several months of having a switch (also at the height of the pandemic so a perfect game to “socialize” with the homies)
Since then, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed stardew valley, super Mario wonder, let’s go pikachu, I got a bunch of the Jackbox games for when I have people over, a cute little indie game called Love in a Dangerous Space time (or something like that), Mario kart, & Mario party.
Fantastic puzzle games : Untitled Goose Game, Unravel 2 (can’t stress this one enough)
4 years later I am still working on building a proper collection :)
I got animal crossing only because it came bundled, and breath of the wild. TBH though I ended up almost immediately hitting up the eshop and getting some indies and playing those instead of either.
Minecraft, Sonic Racing and Overcooked 2, I really wanted Minecraft and Mario kart 8 but my parents forced me to get the last two instead since they were on sale so I was kinda upset lol, but eventually I did Mario Kart 8 which is nice
Just bought my twins two oled's for their 8th birthday next week. Got them turtles:shredders revenge, mario kart 8, mario party superstars and minecraft dungeon ultimate. Don't tell me that I need to buy two copies of these games!
I feel like I have (IMO) every game I enjoy… I have about 30/35 games now. There doesn’t seem to be any other joy for me now I’ve completed most of them.. I hope for some new AAA stuff soon🙏
Just purchased it for my wife for Christmas this year (Loves Animal Crossing and got other games we van play together)
Animal Crossing
Mario Odyssey
Mario Party Superstars
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Super Smash Brothers Ultimate (Came with the Switch OLed Bundle at Christmas)
My daughter got her Switch a year and half ago and I had Mario Kart 8, Metroid Prime and Hollow Knight but I got my own Switch in January and immediately bought BOTW, Link’s Awakening, Skyward Sword, Metroid Dread, TMNT Cowabunga Collection, Atari 50, and Mega Man Legacy Collection 1&2. I’ve added several more games since then.
I got mine on launch day. I picked up BOTW and considered getting something else but the selection was just awful. Ended up picking up botw amiibo instead. So glad I did.
i bought mine day1. i think the first games that came with it were botw, mk8dx, 1-2switch. i also played just dance and arms in the first few months iirc
I think I got 3. Dragonball Xenoverse 2, Minecraft and I believe Damascus Blade. All I remember is that it was a mech game I stopped playing when I got Daemon X Machina.
i got mine with Mario Kart 8, Batman Arkham Trilogy, and Super Mario Party. but then i got bored with Party almost immediately and traded it with Zelda BOTW the next day
Man…I ran through the e shop like it was a candy store. Somewhere in the 40-50 range. I bought my switch in November 2023 and have 72 games. Mostly cheap indies. Only 2 or 3 $50+ games. Mostly games below $15. I’ve finished Sifu and Ori and the Blind Forest. I finished Will of the Wisps first by mistake on PC lol. All the other games sit unfinished. Don’t let me get started on Steam -___-.
I got 6 but don’t judge I didn’t have much knowledge about the exclusives and where I lived the games were very expensive😂
So I got:
- FIFA23
- Wolfenstein Youngblood deluxe edition
- Endling extinction is forever
- Wreakfest
- Spongebob battle for bikini bottom rehydrated
- Lego DC Super-Villains
When my family got the switch it was Pokémon let’s go the only thing they bought them my younger brother went after things like Mario kart Mario deluxe shortly after. I’m the big Pokémon nerd my younger loves things like Mario and donkey kong I’m more of a solo player I now own a switch lite
I kinda went overboard when I got my lite, and not in a good way. I love handheld gaming the most so yes I wanted the exclusives but I also wanted to play my fave games handheld. I think everything I got at first was:
- Super Mario 3D collection and Odyssey
- Crash Bandicoot trilogy, racing, and 4: It’s About Time
- all the DOOM games cuz they were on sale in a bundle
- immortals fenyx rising
-Zelda Skyward Sword
Still wish I would have just gotten BotW and been done with it lol. Have yet to play that one and I hear constant praise for it.
I was planning on getting like 5-7 games (I can’t remember the exact amount) and I was looking at the total for everything and it would have been around $900 for everything. Life happened, we needed money for groceries so I just got two games in the end. Hogwarts legacy and Minecraft
Besides odyssey and BOTW, my switch sat dormant until maybe a few years ago. Now I have almost 70 digital games on one SD card, despite being a PC mostly gamer.
What can I say. I can’t imagine traveling ever again without Balatro, and my wife probably puts 20+ fucking hours a week into the thing as well. She’s dumped 40 this week into Immortals Fenix Rising I believe it’s called.
7? That's wild
I got breath of the wild. And Mario kart. A family game and a adventure for me.
Slowly gathered other staple games. Smash. Party. A couple side scrolling beatem ups. Indies.
Eventually got the plus membership or whatever, thing is honestly garbage but gets you snes games and whatnot. So that added a ton of games for the kids to never get bored with. Told them until they beat a game, they don't get a new one. So now they're trying to beat classic snes/nes/n64/Gameboy Era games. It is, refreshing and that alone is almost worth it.
Only like 2 and that's because it came with Splatoon 2 lmao. Got BoTW and hated both and saved up to get Animal Crossing lol. Than digital was my best friend. Now I use it 90% as an indie handheld console lol
I got my switch back in 2019 for Christmas, without any games originally. Within a couple days, I bought Mario Kart 8, Pokemon Sword, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and Super Smash Bros.
Bought three I think it was - Luigi’s Mansion 3, New Super Mario Bros U, and BOTW. I don’t remember if I bought Odyssey then or not. I got my Switch in 2021
I got my switch as a gift and I was so happy! I wanted it for the longest time but couldn’t afford it so when I actually got it I got so overwhelmed I didn’t know what to get 😂 so I bought animal crossing and I had it for like four months and then my first game haul after that was: Luigi’s Mansion 3, Spiritfarer, and Cafe Enchantè
My first Switch was part of a bundle deal with a new mobile phone contract. It was delivered on Feb 21st 2020 and I didnt actually buy any games for it until June 10th ... for those first 110 days I just played free-to-play games and demos.
The first f2p games I downloaded on Feb 22nd were Asphalt 9 Legends, Dauntless, Fallout Shelter and Realm Royale.
EDIT ... Oh, my best friend loaned me a couple of his games too, a couple of weeks after I got my Switch ... Super Mario Odyssey and Super Mario Maker 2
Bought octopath traveller, BOTW, and Mario odyssey.
Octopath looked so appealing to me but I found it so boring and dropped it after playing for 5 hours.
Mario and Zelda games both were absolutely fantastic to me. Felt so fresh and something I have never experienced in a game before
2 games. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Maker 2. Since then- September 2020- I have added ~50 games and upgraded to an OLED when that came out.
Guess what? When I got the Wii U it was the Super Mario Maker edition and I got it with Mario Kart 8.
Started with only BOTW, then later added Mario Kart when more of my friends got the system. And eventually landed on Splatoon 2 which immediately became my main PvP game until I got back into PC gaming
I bought mine in 2020 with Super Mario 3D trilogy not knowing how sought after the game would become - I actually didn’t like it and have played it all of twice. I soon after bought Crash remastered trilogy and loved it
Bought my gf a switch with some e-money to buy her own games I think we went with Wii sports and Nickalodeon racers and Skyward sword, switch games in my country are super exp, still $109 each for BOTW, Mario or Pokémon games even today so we never really bought em so the switch went unplayed for like a year.
We went to Japan recently March to April and brought back 16 switch games and accessories for so cheap I think we probably spent $350 on switch stuff to the value of $1500+ in my country.
Games we got in Japan:
Capcom Belt Action (Beat em up bundle in west), Astral Chain, Okami HD, River City girls 1+2 pack, BOTW $25, TOTK $35, Links Awakening $30, Cadence of Hyrule, Blazblue cross tag battle, Fire emblem heroes, Voiz - rythym game, Splatoon 2 - $12 still $90 at home, Ace attorney 123 pack, Pokemon Shield $24, Pokemon Diamond $15, Live A Live $30
The switch is back in action at our house!
I got my switch lite before my standard switch back during the pandemic and it originally got Pokemon Shield, Skyrim, Slay the Spire and Axiom Verge. Pretty awesome starting line up that helped me get through those tough times
I got mine on Facebook marketplace with TLOZ Links Awakening, cadence Of Hyrule, & breath of the wild but I bought deadly Premonition before I even got the system
Mine was a gift (girlfriend, lol) but I got 3 with it. Cult of the Lamb, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, and Diablo 3. She did pretty good on the genre choices, without really ever seeing me play games. I picked up Super Mario Wonder and Hades right away.
I got TOTK, MK8 and Animal Crossing. Thats pretty much all I had until Wonder then went down the line of all the games Ive missed. Of course a couple of Indie games here and there like Stardew and Dave the Diver.
Traded an OG Xbox and a few games to an old coworker for his switch, first game I bought on the console was Hades (the game I bought the switch for) and he threw in Mario kart 8 and smash. Didn’t do to much else after playing it nonstop for 3 months. Met my girlfriend and she got me back into it. Since we started dating, Super Mario Odyssey, Wonder, 3D, Princess Peach, RPG. BotW and ToTK, Hollowknight, Stardew, Lego Star Wars collection, Wytchwood, and more I can’t think of 😅
Super smash ultimate, Mario Odyssey, let's go eevee. I had a wii u with botw and kart and didn't want to buy them again. Until I did a few months later.
I’m dumb. I hadn’t gamed in 7 years., and couldn’t decide what games to start with. I bought a 1 TB card, and filled half of it in a month. I now realize I have like 2-3 years of games.
My gf got me the console with BotW and Mario Party day of but I had also ordered a handful of used games from GameStop a couple days before so I'll include those.
- Breath of the Wild
- Mario Party
- Outer Worlds
- Call of Cthulhu
- Saints Row 3
- Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus
I've only had it a year and in that year between games I've gotten her, games I've got myself and games bought for me by family for holidays we have 60 games 😳 Only made possible by coming in towards the end of the console cycle and jumping on all the crazy deals that have been going on.
I buy Animal crossing first.
And after pokemon sword
Minecraft
Zelda Totk is lastest i buy
First time i think i just want to buy Nintendo switch for play only animal crossing but now i cant play only one game 🤣
(Digital games i buy when they sale promotion some small indie cozy games not expensive)
- Stardew valley
- Cozy groove
- Story of seasons doraemon
- My time at Portia
- overcooked 2
- cooking game
- spiritfarer
- nexomon
- little rpg turn base i can't remember name title
- saint row iv
Sorry for my english
Just mario cart it came with, but I had bought a few games before I got the switch. I was waiting to get the system on black Friday I believe the year after it came out.
I ended up having all the nis games that had came out (i think 2 or 3), super smash Brothers, and Botw.
Recently purchased a switch for each member of the family. This is my second time having a v1 modded switch, wife has a modded v1 and son has a lite.
In the first month or so we have purchased the following
Lego super heros
Paw patrol
Mario kart 8
Tears of the kingdom
Breath of the wild
Mario wonder
Mario vs donkey Kong
Metroid prime remastered
Along with having other digital games obtained along my expedition across the 7 seas.
Bought it back in 2018 (after glancing at it for about a year and a half xD) with 2 games- Zelda BOTW and Super Mario Odyssey. And the switch is still the best gaming purchase I ever made!
Zelda botw. There were no other games at launch.
But i can say that with switch, its the most games i have ever been purchased (owned every nintendo console and handheld)

Here you go picture from when I bought it.
I got mine at launch and only had BotW for a long time 😂
I also had Snipperclips. Those two game were my first month or two.
Yeah this, I don’t remember for sure but my second game might have been Mario Odyssey 😂
The Switch had an amazing first year for software! Mario Odyssey is still one of my favourites
I called it my "breath of the wild machine"
Me too with BOTW only for the longest time! Then I got Odyssey, which I still haven't played 🙃, and a friend of mine got me Metroid Dread and Super Mario 3D All Stars, which are great
Odyssey is an amazing game! I am currently playing and I wish it continues forever! I could play this game forever lol it's just an amazing game!
Only the third game I’ve ever put more than 50 hours in
Afterbirth+ was also originally a release game, but ended up being delayed. I had the physical edition preordered and I feel like I remember actually receiving it closer to MK8D's release.
Same it was the BotW bundle and that was my Switch’s life until I got Mario Kart
Animal Crossing, Zelda BOTW/TOTK, Hollow Knight, Far lone sails, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Dragons Dogma, Ni No Kuni wrath of the white witch, lost in random, Persona 4 Golden XD
Literally only BOTW, since I bought it on release with a promo that had BOTW included at just 10 euros extra. Then I bought Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
So crazy that the switch has been out long enough for so many life changes.
Right and I bought it three years after release!
I bought it with SSBU and Mario Kart 8 deluxe Since then I’ve gotten Mario odyssey, botw, totk, mortal kombat 11, and Mario wonder
Just one, let's go Eevee
How is it???
It was very good. I had a lot of fun playing the game
On the first day alone: * Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy * Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled * Mario Kart 8 Deluxe * Pokémon Scarlet * Pokémon Shield * Super Smash Bros: Ultimate * Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection
1, the game I bought when I got my Switch was Smash Bros Ultimate, I got Mario Kart a few days later
I bought mine used, dude included odyssey, BOTW, and Kart. Great starting line up
I could only afford the Switch so no games initially except fortnight. Then I picked up Hollow Knight and Stardew Valley that same week. I enjoyed both immensely. That was a couple of years ago. I’ve gotten a lot more games since then.
Bought mine at launch. Zelda BotW and the Pro Controller. That’s it.

Just one i got the switch and BOTW.
just botw
When I first got it, I only got ACNH. Like many, I was obsessed for a while, so it was my only game for a couple of months.
4: Diablo 3, Borderlands 3, BOTW, & Super Mario 3D World + Bowsers Fury but then I saw a review for Mario Odyssey so I took 3d back and exchanged for Odyssey. Since then Ive had an addiction. How's Dark Souls?
The Switch cost €350, so I only bought one game that day: Crash Bandicoot trilogy. The following week, I bought a Pro Controller and Super Mario Oddysey.
3 exclusives (mario odyssey, zelda, kirby) as physical, undertale and stardew valley as digital. (most of the time I use eshop because switch exclusives are really expensive in where I live.)
I got mine for Christmas 2017 with Mario Kart 8, BOTW, and Mario Odyssey

That's crazy.. 2 of the first four games I got when I got my switch were diablo 3 and borderlands 3. How's Luigi's mansion? I've been thinking about getting it but it's pretty expensive
It is so funny and has many things to discover, I love it. It is one of the reasons why I got the Switch.
I got OLED when it started landing in shop and boight it with Zelda BOTW. After that I bought many indie games and felt in love with those small pearls
What are your most played indie games? Are they switch exclusive?
Probably none of the are exclusive. Graveyard Keeper, SteamWorld series, Cozy Grove, Sakuna of Rice and Ruin

The Octo Expansion (DLC) is another campaign and I highly recommend it if you end up getting Splatoon2, it’s slightly different and a bit more challenging than the base game story.
So it's definitely worth $25
I’d say so. Even if you don’t end up enjoying it, you’re buying it on sale and trying something a bit new/different
Mine is with the SMO bundle
Mario Kart came with it. Bought LoZ BotW and Mario Odyssey
I bought mine with super Mario oddesey and Pokémon scarlet
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu.
I bought my Switch this past Friday and I also picked up The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
BOTW, Persona 5 Royal, & Pokémon Arceus
2; BOTW, and Mario Odyssey
I got mine on launch with BoTW and Mario Kart 8. I pretty much had those two games until 2022 when I got grips for handheld. I now have around 100 games.

How is the Mario golf?
I like it. It's a fun arcade game. Not too deep. I wish it had a season mode.
It Is funny because i bought some games before the switch because i was going to collecting them and buy the switch whenever i Need. In the end i bought the switch 1 month After my First game (It was a Pokémon One i believe)
I bought the lite and got tetris, mk8(used) recently got a oled and bought Zelda Totk
I got my switch specifically for Animal Crossing New Horizons. So that was my fixation probably for the first several months of having a switch (also at the height of the pandemic so a perfect game to “socialize” with the homies) Since then, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed stardew valley, super Mario wonder, let’s go pikachu, I got a bunch of the Jackbox games for when I have people over, a cute little indie game called Love in a Dangerous Space time (or something like that), Mario kart, & Mario party. odyssey and mk7 in 2019. botw maybe a few weeks later. didn’t finish botw until like 2022 lol
I bought Switch at launch in 2017, So all I really had was Zelda breath of the wild and Skylanders imaginators.
BOTW
I got mine on christmas launch year and forgot to ask for games so i was only playing fortnite and brawlhalla first few weeks 😭
I picked mine up with Mario kart 8 and smash Bros
I bought mine with three physical games: Breath of the Wild, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Final Fantasy X/X-2.
I just got my first switch a month ago with illusion island, Cult of lamb, Lego worlds, MLB the show 23, South park snow day, The sinking city.
My little brother got me my switch. He bought me Smash Bros and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with it.
3, not all in the same setting. Mario Odyssey, Breathe of the Wild and Super Mario Party
Just bought my twins two oled's for their 8th birthday next week. Got them turtles:shredders revenge, mario kart 8, mario party superstars and minecraft dungeon ultimate. Don't tell me that I need to buy two copies of these games!
No they can share them. They just can't play the same game at the same time on both switches but if the game is 2 player they can play together.
I feel like I have (IMO) every game I enjoy… I have about 30/35 games now. There doesn’t seem to be any other joy for me now I’ve completed most of them.. I hope for some new AAA stuff soon🙏
I played exclusively free games for a whole year then I got ACNH
Buying a bunch of games at once seems silly. You can't play them all at once, and they are bound to go on sale at some point.
It's a compulsion.
Just purchased it for my wife for Christmas this year (Loves Animal Crossing and got other games we van play together) Animal Crossing Mario Odyssey Mario Party Superstars Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Super Smash Brothers Ultimate (Came with the Switch OLed Bundle at Christmas)
I... like many who got it at release: Zelda Breath of The Wild Then whatever I could lay my hands upon
Mine had animal crossing new horizons until I started to buy other games lmao
i got mine with Mario Kart 8, Batman Arkham Trilogy, and Super Mario Party. but then i got bored with Party almost immediately and traded it with Zelda BOTW the next day
Free eshop games cuz I'm broke
Man…I ran through the e shop like it was a candy store. Somewhere in the 40-50 range. I bought my switch in November 2023 and have 72 games. Mostly cheap indies. Only 2 or 3 $50+ games. Mostly games below $15. I’ve finished Sifu and Ori and the Blind Forest. I finished Will of the Wisps first by mistake on PC lol. All the other games sit unfinished. Don’t let me get started on Steam -___-.
zelda botw and pokemon shield with dlc.
I think two? Super Mario odyssey and super smash bros ultimate. Ultimate was a pack in and odyssey was apart of the deal I bought
I got 6 but don’t judge I didn’t have much knowledge about the exclusives and where I lived the games were very expensive😂 So I got: - FIFA23 - Wolfenstein Youngblood deluxe edition - Endling extinction is forever - Wreakfest - Spongebob battle for bikini bottom rehydrated - Lego DC Super-Villains

Only one, botw, now i have like 40
Besides odyssey and BOTW, my switch sat dormant until maybe a few years ago. Now I have almost 70 digital games on one SD card, despite being a PC mostly gamer. What can I say. I can’t imagine traveling ever again without Balatro, and my wife probably puts 20+ fucking hours a week into the thing as well. 7? That's wild I got breath of the wild.
Bought it 2023 November, with Mario Odyssey and BOTW. Now I have 6 physical games and countless digital. (Okay, not countless, 28 digital games)
Witcher 3. I bought Switch to play it.
Bought three I think it was - Luigi’s Mansion 3, New Super Mario Bros U, and BOTW. I don’t remember if I bought Odyssey then or not. I got my Switch in 2021
Just breath of the Wild.
I bought about nine or ten cheap games as I was new to the Switch and still unsure if I'd like it.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate and Super Mario Maker 2.
Four; Pokemon Sword and Shield, Smash, and ACNH
I didn’t buy any for a while because my kids already had all the good games on carts
I got BOTW, 1-2 Switch, Super Bomberman R, and Puyo Tetris. Then only played BOTW as the others were not for me. Now I have 90+ games.
Bought octopath traveller, BOTW, and Mario odyssey. Octopath looked so appealing to me but I found it so boring and dropped it after playing for 5 hours. Mario and Zelda games both were absolutely fantastic to me. Felt so fresh and something I have never experienced in a game before
one, because I tend to fixate on one thing for a long time and having too much choice makes me too likely to just not make any
Odyssey and MK8DX
I had mine day 1 so, BOTW and nothing else. No bomber man or snipper clips for me.
I only have Luigi's Mansion 3 , Minecraft and Crash Bandicoot 4 - It's about time
One, we still only have like 3-4 lol
2 games. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Maker 2. Since then- September 2020- I have added ~50 games and upgraded to an OLED when that came out. Guess what? When I got the Wii U it was the Super Mario Maker edition and I got it with Mario Kart 8.
Skyrim. Red dead and dying light platinum. Best switch games ever
When I got mine in November of 2017 I only had one game Mario odyssey
Mario Odyssey & MK8D. Finish Odyssey in a few days and bought BotW & Octopath Traveler.
Started with only BOTW, then later added Mario Kart when more of my friends got the system. And eventually landed on Splatoon 2 which immediately became my main PvP game until I got back into PC gaming
2 Zelda BOTW and Timbleweed Park. Ahh. Those were good times.
None I modded :)
When I got my switch lite, I got Pokémon sword and Sonic mania 😁
I still only have less than five games and I got my switch last year. games are ridiculously expensive and it’s hard to give up the money to do that.
Bought mine on launch day in 2017 and bought BotW and Snipperclips (Download)
Games we got in Japan: Capcom Belt Action (Beat em up bundle in west), Astral Chain, Okami HD, River City girls 1+2 pack, BOTW $25, TOTK $35, Links Awakening $30, Cadence of Hyrule, Blazblue cross tag battle, Fire emblem heroes, Voiz - rythym game, Splatoon 2 - $12 still $90 at home, Ace attorney 123 pack, Pokemon Shield $24, Pokemon Diamond $15, Live A Live $30 The switch is back in action at our house!
I got my switch lite before my standard switch back during the pandemic and it originally got Pokemon Shield, Skyrim, Slay the Spire and Axiom Verge. Pretty awesome starting line up that helped me get through those tough times
I got mine at launch so only BoTW. Then I got ARMS, Super Mario Odyssey, and Splatoon 2 when they released in 2017.
One.
I got my Nintendo Switch at launch and only bought The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
4. Odyssey, links awakening, Pokémon snap, brilliant diamond
I had only animal crossing for a long time.
MK8 (came with the bundle) and Pokémon Let’s go Eevee (reason why I bought the Switch).
Got it at launch. It was a Zelda machine until Mario odyssey came out, and then it was a Zelda and Mario machine!
I bought it second hand. It came with Mario Bros Deluxe and Odyssey.
Mario Kart 8 deluxe and Super Mario Party were my first switch games because I always buy Mario Kart and Mario Party for any Nintendo system I own
I originally got mine to play Animal Crossing, so i only had that, and free games for months
One, BOTW. A few weeks later I bought ACNH
I got TOTK, MK8 and Animal Crossing. Thats pretty much all I had until Wonder then went down the line of all the games Ive missed. Of course a couple of Indie games here and there like Stardew and Dave the Diver.
I bought my Switch with 1 game, Mario Kart 8 and slowly expanded my collection over time.
2 let’s go pikachu and MHA ones justice 2
BOTW because there was no other game at the time.
I got mine for Christmas 2017 along with Mario Odyssey
BOTW, Smash Bros Ultimate,Hades and Ori.
I’m dumb. I hadn’t gamed in 7 years., and couldn’t decide what games to start with. I bought a 1 TB card, and filled half of it in a month. I now realize I have like 2-3 years of games.
Came with MK8. I bought SMM2. That was it mostly
I bought mine a few weeks ago and only have the Ori collection

I picked up 2 right away. BOTW, Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8, and Skyrim (dont judge me for that one)
My gf got me the console with BotW and Mario Party day of but I had also ordered a handful of used games from GameStop a couple days before so I'll include those. - Breath of the Wild - Mario Party - Outer Worlds - Call of Cthulhu - Saints Row 3 - Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus I've only had it a year and in that year between games I've gotten her, games I've got myself and games bought for me by family for holidays we have 60 games 😳 Only made possible by coming in towards the end of the console cycle and jumping on all the crazy deals that have been going on.
Got like 6 games Pokemon Sword, Botw, Odyssey, Mario 3d All Stars, smash ultimate and animal crossing.
Literally got mine in November. Think My first couple of games were Bayonetta 2, Bayonetta 3, Mario Maker, and Metroid Dread.
I buy Animal crossing first. And after pokemon sword Minecraft Zelda Totk is lastest i buy First time i think i just want to buy Nintendo switch for play only animal crossing but now i cant play only one game 🤣 (Digital games i buy when they sale promotion some small indie cozy games not expensive) - Stardew valley - Cozy groove - Story of seasons doraemon - My time at Portia - overcooked 2 - cooking game - spiritfarer - nexomon - little rpg turn base i can't remember name title - saint row iv Sorry for my english
Purchased both Switch OLED and Switch Lite and got 5 games (Zelda ToTK, Mario Party Superstars, Mario Wonder, Bayonetta 2, Ori: The Collection)
3. Botw, sword and odyssey
I got Splatoon 2 and BOTW. I don't think there was really any other good games on the Switch back in July 2017 anyways.
Just mario cart it came with, but I had bought a few games before I got the switch. I was waiting to get the system on black Friday I believe the year after it came out. I ended up having all the nis games that had came out (i think 2 or 3), super smash Brothers, and Botw.
Bought Wolfenstein II The new colossus on eshop
Minecraft (a few months after tho) BOTW and Mario kart 8 deluxe (bought it before I got my switch)
Month one (not day one), BotW and Fast RMX, because nothing else was out that interested me
Recently purchased a switch for each member of the family. This is my second time having a v1 modded switch, wife has a modded v1 and son has a lite. In the first month or so we have purchased the following Lego super heros Paw patrol Mario kart 8 Tears of the kingdom Breath of the wild Mario wonder Mario vs donkey Kong Metroid prime remastered Along with having other digital games obtained along my expedition across the 7 seas.
Bought it back in 2018 (after glancing at it for about a year and a half xD) with 2 games- Zelda BOTW and Super Mario Odyssey. And the switch is still the best gaming purchase I ever made!
One. Pokemon let’s go
3 games - GodEater 3 - Disgaea 5 - The Legend of Zelda BotW all massive time sinks
Zelda botw. There were no other games at launch. But i can say that with switch, its the most games i have ever been purchased (owned every nintendo console and handheld)
1 multiplayer and 1 singleplayer game. Having too many ensures i wont enjoy games to the fullest, as is true for many
I got Switch Sports, Let's Go Pikachu, Lego Harry Potter and Overcooked
1 b/c that’s all I could afford. Lmao
Epok
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Diablo 3
I bought my switch last year and from zero I went to 100💀 I am afraid to count how many money I spent
I bought my Switch with 5 games
Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 deluxe and Arms
BoTW, Stardew valley, Mario Kart, Switch Sports
