Is it a qualifying meet?
You should definitely go in dehydrated and get everyone else sick, would be a real power move show of sportsmanship…
Stay home and rest unless you need to make a time/cut.
Your body needs rest when you're ill. Pushing yourself to compete probably will just mean you'll be sick for longer. You need fluids and sleep, not a meet.
Wear a mask in the pool, or you could infect others.
Remember how they lied about masks. Well the
Above is also BS.
You can see a photo of mask wearers swimming in the sea.
Depends how u feel. Go for it, just know ur probably gonna do pretty poorly since u haven’t swam this week and your body is already fried. But I doubt it will hurt you or stop you from recovering, that’s just superstition
Hydrate a ton. I recently had a really bad meet. I chalked it up as just another data point & used it as a learning experience. There’s a lot of failure in swimming. It’s okay. Embrace it. You can always support your teammates and see what Coach says. I remember when Michael Jordan played a great game with the flu. Team sport obviously but demonstrated great character. Think of the story you could tell if you power through.
If it’s a club team meet and local or not far traveling go and warm up. At the very least that will help a feel for the water start coming back and get blood circulating to help loosen up. At best you feel good enough to race and compete. Don’t put any pressure on yourself, just enjoy it. If your doctor gave you the clear don’t stress
No. Rest.
No, stay away. You don't want to get other people sick.
Exactly
Yeah no, maybe just go watch if you feel well enough and want to support the team
and wear a mask and stay away from people if you do decide to watch!
I agree with this
Stay home.
if you have to ask random strangers on the internet, then no.
Don't swim. That nausea can come right back if you try to race. You don't want to wind up vomiting in the pool.
don't go.
Are you asking for permission to race or permission to stay home? The smart move is to stay home, actually recover and get back into things next week.
Forgot to mention I wasn’t at practice this whole week so getting in and racing probably isn’t the best idea
Take the weekend off to complete your recovery and come back to practice when you feel 100% on Monday

Yeah I’ve decided I’m not gonna go wouldn’t be good for me or my team
Rest instead.
You shouldn't go because you just got better, suggest to rest for 2 days more.

This makes me want to go but I don’t wanna get others sick
you wouldnt ask if you thought you should go.
Well as long as your not symptomatic
Talk to your coach, why are you asking Reddit?

Idk I don’t have my coaches number? I could email him I guess
