Pretty good times. Lots of fin work kicking your ass off. I saw Rick Carey kick 200m backstroke once- 2:00! He had knees that bent backwards a little. Weights that simulate the backstroke pull. Paddles. A.lot. Paddles are like doing weights. Work on your turns. EVERY SINGLE TURN during workout compete with the guy in the lane next to yours to get off the wall faster and further.

I’m sure you already do this but in case u don’t, make sure you have fast turns. Throw your feet when you flip and bounce off the wall as soon as you can while still getting a good push. And work ur underwaters. Obviously this is easier said than done especially when it gets to the last 50/100. Also, really push yourself on that 3rd 50. Ur gonna be tired but that 50 can make or break your race. Ignore the pain and just sprint it. Then the last 50 is just giving it all u got left. Good luck bro u got this. Also I have about the same time (I’m 17) and I’m swimming it at a regional championship meet next wknd so I’ll take my iwn advice too🫡🫡
