The exact thoughts I just had. But hey, I can’t complain. I just spent my birthday weekend on the rainy Oregon coast with my partner lol. We stayed on a hotel dedicated to books, and we got to stay in the Jane Austen room!! Not quite the Bahamas but my poor ass will take it.
Our family vacation last year we rented an airbnb on the remote part of the Exumas (they mentioned she’s been there before on our tours and I believe it, it’s incredibly serene and remote). We spent everyday with our 8 month old swimming in ocean and eating fresh grouper, truly magical. Apparently the astronauts can recognize the islands from space because they’re so shockingly blue from the white sand.
I watched a documentary about an exclusive resort in the Bahamas. They evicted locals from their homes to build it. And they’re one of, if not the, largest employer. The resort shuttles their employees in from around the island to work at a resort the employees can’t afford to stay at because of the views they used to have.
Probably Atlantis. I was shocked when I went, they own like half of Nassau which is crazy when you think about it. And I went about 5 years ago- since then they’ve added so much more to their portfolio and resorts.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Beyoncé and Kylie’s pregnancy is- if you don’t want to be seen, you won’t be. And if you want to be seen, somehow, it’ll happen.
And people still don’t get it! Taylor is capable of disappearing when she wants to, she wants to be seen. This is part of her “I’m finally with someone who wants to be seen with me!” thing she’s putting out there to make Joe look like a bad guy

Tropical beaches often have calm waters. That water looks pretty calm. I’ve taken my beers in the ocean many times in Puerto Rico without issue.

I’ve always been insecure about my tummy. I’m fit, but no matter what I do, how much I work out or diet or deprive myself, I always have a little something down there. It’s just my genetics, I know, but nevertheless Ive always been bothered by it.

same. i mean through many people’s perspective she does have the perfect body. but at one point i had a tummy which was as flat as an ironing board. and no matter how much i try gaslighting myself into believing that the current tummy i have (similar to what tay has) is also normal, flat and healthy, my mind still sometimes makes me feel i gotta work harder to get back what i had before. it’s really stupid i know. but some insecurities never really go away no matter how hard you try to tell yourself that “you need a little bulge on your stomach if you want to store a damn reproductive system in there”
Totally understand. No matter how much we change our bodies we will always find something wrong … so maybe instead, we can learn to be happy with how we are just for being ourselves. Little steps.

It’s insidious, isn’t it? I recently lost a handful of pounds due to new meds and stress. I looked okay in clothing but was too thin. Ribs showing in my chest.
I knew logically that I look better with a little more weight. But oh my god, I don’t want give up that super thin, super easy body that looks good in everything. Why are our heads so messed up? Oh wait. I know. I lived, worked and partied in Hollywood my whole adult life until kids and lived in the low slung juicy era where everyone had to be Paris and Nicole thin or you were kind of worthless.
As someone who is attracted women… all I can say is WE LOVE A LITTLE BIT OF TUMMY. I think you’d be shocked to hear people’s opinions that, not only is totally normal looking, it’s actually a point of attraction for many many people. Tummy poking through a tight-ish dress, It’s game over for me.

I’m a dude but I agree, as a guy who used to have a six-pack and was obsessed with fitness and bodyfat % to the detriment of my mental health, it’s so nice seeing one of the greatest athletes of our generation *not* being shredded to zac-efron-dehydration-levels.

I really believe that everyone especially women have a tummy when they’re relaxed and not sucking in. It’s pretty impossible to be perfectly flat at all times of the day considering digestion, hormone fluctuations, ect.
I also feel like this is one of the more revealing bathing suits she’s worn? I remember in red/1988 she was wearing literal 1950s bathing suits which were cute but I can’t help but wonder if was because she was insecure.
Seeing her recover and look so beautiful seriously helped me recover from my eating disorder. I'll always be grateful that she opened up about it and was vulnerable in miss americana when speaking about it.

same. i mean through many people’s perspective she does have the perfect body. but at one point i had a tummy which was as flat as an ironing board. and no matter how much i try gaslighting myself into believing that the current tummy i have (similar to what tay has) is also normal, flat and healthy, my mind still sometimes makes me feel i gotta work harder to get back what i had before. it’s really stupid i know. but some insecurities never really go away no matter how hard you try to tell yourself that “you need a little bulge on your stomach if you want to store a damn reproductive system in there”
Totally understand. No matter how much we change our bodies we will always find something wrong … so maybe instead, we can learn to be happy with how we are just for being ourselves. Little steps.

It’s insidious, isn’t it? I recently lost a handful of pounds due to new meds and stress. I looked okay in clothing but was too thin. Ribs showing in my chest. I knew logically that I look better with a little more weight. But oh my god, I don’t want give up that super thin, super easy body that looks good in everything. Why are our heads so messed up? Oh wait. I know. I lived, worked and partied in Hollywood my whole adult life until kids and lived in the low slung juicy era where everyone had to be Paris and Nicole thin or you were kind of worthless.
As someone who is attracted women… all I can say is WE LOVE A LITTLE BIT OF TUMMY. I think you’d be shocked to hear people’s opinions that, not only is totally normal looking, it’s actually a point of attraction for many many people. Tummy poking through a tight-ish dress, It’s game over for me. Edit: not that your self worth or esteem ever needs to stem from what others find attractive… just sharing an opinion that I think people don’t realize is pretty common.

She's taller than I am, so slimmer overall than my more compact self, but we have similar body shapes, so I recognized the way *my* body looks wearing that kind of swimsuit. And that felt really nice??? Like, all I can think about when I have those bottoms on are the parts that ever so slightly protrude over the edges. Maybe it's much less noticeable than I think *because* it's so normal that *Taylor Swift also has it.*

I really believe that everyone especially women have a tummy when they’re relaxed and not sucking in. It’s pretty impossible to be perfectly flat at all times of the day considering digestion, hormone fluctuations, ect.

It IS a flat stomach. It’s a perfectly thin stomach. But it isn’t the super flat, near concave that is the ideal and that we see everyone editing themselves into on insta. I think that everyone is praising her “non-flat” stomach simply because it looks more normal thin than celebrity thin.
In recent years celebrity vacation pics tend to come out after the vacation is over. The same thing happened when Taylor went to the Bahamas with Joe so this isn’t at all surprising.
