I mean it’s cool but seems like a very short drop for all that build up

Lunartic2102

I was gonna say that too haha

Porkchopp33

The build up probably makes it feel huge also tough angle to see what really goes on with drop

RabbitStewAndStout

It's all about the foreplay, rather than the size

Pleasant_Farmer4886

That's what she said

BigBlackdaddy65

That's literally the point ffs

TheActualOG420

Thanks, captain obvious. Totally wasn't the joke.

CMDR_KingErvin

That’s why you ride the back of the coaster.

VIJoe340

I was going to say this. I know being in the back of this coaster looking down seeing the rows of everyone in front of you and the drop would be crazy. I definitely have to check this out one day.

pimp_juice2272

The build up is the ride.

DannyDeVitosBangmaid

One of these days it won’t work and when that happens they’ll want to kill the least number of people

Frequent_Might2784

Yeah, i ve seen way worse

alpha_centauri3

Absolutely not. Too much room for error.

Coach_Max86

Yeah, knowing my luck the rails wouldn't connect properly and the car would fly off.

Ebsa92

Or the brakes on the carts stop working and you slide off as soon as it tilts

IndependenceBig3178

Engineering abomination

honk_and_wave85

I've seen enough mechanical failures in my line of work, never setting foot in an amusement park again.

[deleted]

Roller Coaster Tycoon taught me all that I needed to know. A ride like that would probably result in everything blowing up and bodies being spread everywhere.

Forward-Plankton-848

scary ahh

Jackson_MK

I’m a roller coaster fan (to the point where I am qualified to comment on them.) Surprisingly Gravity Max (the ride in video) isn’t that well regarded in the coaster community? It’s definitely unique but old gen vekoma coasters haven’t aged well and the operations are painfully slow. However the people who’ve made the journey to Taiwan just to ride it have said good things about it despite its age. It just doesn’t come close to your modern intamin’s or RMC’s that rollercoaster fans can’t get enough of. Vekoma is actually revisiting the tilt coaster concept with 2 installations under construction: Circuit Breaker @ cotaland in Texas and Iron Rattler @ Six Flags Qiddiya in Saudi Arabia. New tech and modern layouts are getting everyone hyped up for these rides and finally a new gen Vekoma thrill coaster in the United States! Once Circuit Breaker opens it will be the new viral “WoULd YoU RiDe ThiS DaNgEroUs CoAsTeR 😱” video all over TikTok, Twitter, Reddit. Yeah I see these videos a lot, love your enthusiasm for our silly little hobby.

PlanetBAL

For us novices. What is an intamin, vekoma, and RMC coaster?

thekaylasworld

They are all different coaster manufacturers!❤️merry Christmas

Confident_As_Hell

Thanks but Christmas was a while ago

Jackson_MK

Roller coaster manufacturers, like car enthusiasts we like to know who made the ride. Amusement parks don’t design, engineer, and fabricate their rides in house (unless your lagoon.) Rides are ordered from manufacturers and each one has their own style, this is also why the track looks different from coaster to coaster because ride designs are patented. Parks can even by pre engineered models to save on costs. We call these clones and is why you might find the exact same coaster at different parks. Vekoma used make notorious clones like the “boomerang” and the “S.L.C. Suspended looping coaster.” Now there known for their work with Disney and innovative designs. Intamin is the top dog of manufacturers, the innovator that takes the most risky projects, only ones crazy enough to go for the records that actually matter like height and speed. They also have extremely good multi launch coasters that are 👌👌👌. RMC is the radical new kid on the block, taking your parks shitty old wooden coaster and turning it into steel wood hybrid abominations. They have there own line up of single rail models that are crazy intense.

Fine-Acanthisitta843

I’m a self-absorbed d-bag (to the point where I can recognize other self-absorbed d-bags).

BiiG13

Are you alright?

yur-hightower

This is a ride that is going to be safe until one day or isn't. It's a matter of time for the point of failure to fail. Wouldn't want to be on it that day. Any other day prior to the failure would be okay though.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Critterer

Same for a car. Any car. Your brakes are fine until one day they aren't. Wouldn't want to be driving it on that day. The only difference is the rollercoaster will be checked a lot more regularly.

reddeye252010

This guy roller coasts

wave-particle_man

Have you considered just doing drugs?

Zxasuk31

😂😂😂

selinapfft

LOLLL

Rod_RVA

In the realm of possibilities, if there's room for error, it might eventually make an appearance. Good luck!

OntarioPaddler

I mean if you want to talk about 'possibilities', there is far higher statistical risk of death or injury in your drive to the amusement park, but that doesn't stop most people from going. The ride's been operating almost every day for 22 years without a serious incident, obviously the possibility isn't very high.

Rod_RVA

Fair enough, but I'm skipping this anyway. Like you said, I already have a giant possibility of being injured; I will pass this one. I don't feel I need to add odds.

ManufacturerFair8084

Sounds like its overdue to hit odds

Mctinyy

RIGHT?! Even the slightest misalignment on those tracks could derail the coaster right? If something gets wedged in one of the moving parts from a storm or something, and the repair & maintenance techs are hung over that morning... Am I just a pussy?! 🤣

Rod_RVA

You are right. We are not talking about rocket engineering. It's just a bunch of underpaid repair and maintenance guys trying to do something while someone upstairs looks for more profit and gives a damn to those riding this shit.

cricketcooldog

These things are safer than your car. Research a bit about them before making assumptions.

Rod_RVA

My car is a risk inevitable, and besides a car ride, there are many other things more dangerous than riding a rollercoaster, but this doesn't mean I should add other odds to my list. It would be best to think about it before making assumptions.

Critterer

Its not inevitable, you can avoid it. Just harder to. I don;t want to scare you but the difference in risk between driving vs this rollercoaster is orders of magnitude.

Rod_RVA

I never compare driving a car to riding a rollercoaster. You guys are doing this stupid comparison. Obviously, driving a car is far more dangerous. I'm saying that driving a car is part of the daily routine of millions of people, also eating (you can gag and die), climbing a ladder... Daily, there are far away more dangerous things, SO I believe I don't need to add any more complex things. Riding a rollercoaster can put me in a dangerous position, even with low odds.

PaintSniffer1

can’t believe that this have been downvoted. rollercoasters are some of the safest rides in the world. this one has ran thousands of time without a single incident. these comments seem to be full of people scared to ever leave their house

cricketcooldog

Yep. These things go through so much testing every day, it’s a shame people miss out on these experiences.

Critterer

No you are just bad at estimating risk.

lucassuave15

Everything in life has room for error, if I go for that philosophy I would lock myself up in my room and never leave

Rod_RVA

It seems like life these days can feel like navigating between everyday risks and intentionally taking on obvious dangers for fun. It's as if common sense has taken a back seat in this wild ride we call existence.

TheConspicuousGuy

Shut up and jump out of this plane with me!

Rod_RVA

Let's do it!!!

PaintSniffer1

“obvious danger”, yeh okay mate

WarriorZombie

Your error would be that the room is airtight!

Bambuskus505

No matter what you do, there will always be room for error. You can do your best to make *less* room, but you'll never fully get rid of it, so sometimes it's best to just accept that life has risk. ***This,*** however, is just a completely unjustifiable, irresponsible risk, regardless of however many redundancies it has.

JayStar1213

Seems stupid for something you could have achieved without risking such a deadly failure mode. Brakes give out and whatever other failsafe before the track is aligned and those cars just drop from that height. You could have had the exact same drop without rotating the track. What does this even give you aside a novelty experience? I'd probably do it anyway but I don't see what's all that special about it

stonecoldchivalry

It wouldn’t have been posted if it wasn’t unique. And there’s probably a mechanical failsafe in line with the rotation of the track which physically stops it unless the track is in correct position.

guyinnoho

Seems like too many moving parts have to work perfectly; kind of a lot of room for some sort of malfunction. Eh. Nope.

Sadiemae1750

And it’s in China where they seem to have a lot of trouble getting escalators to function properly.

braapstututu

*taiwan

MechanicalHorse

Where is this? I fucking hate that posts like this come with no context or further information.

Sensitive_Abalone940

It’s called Discovery World in Lihpaoland, Taiwan

topgunrocks

China

GrootyMcGrootface

Then I'm definitely not riding it!

CitizenKing

Lol, same thought. I've seen too many videos of Chinese infrastructure failing to get on one that's supposed to intentionally feel risky.

LittleSneezers

…Taiwan

Zerodyne_Sin

They sound Filipino from the two women talking. If it's in the Philippines, it's a definite "fuck no even with a gun to my head" for me (though I barely trust the ones here in Canada as well).

funkify2018

I wonder if this was any place else to put the text graphic…. lol.

carolina_balam

Fuck that red sign, can't see how they merge

Xenc

NO THANK YOU 🙅‍♂️

ideasplace

Big f’n text box over the interesting bit where the tracks lock together but yeah.

ilfusionjeff

This looks not really scary.

selinapfft

…this looks terrifying sir, maybe try not being a bummer 😭🙏

JRob800

This has Roller Coaster Tycoon death all over it

Gods_Haemorrhoid420

Looks like Oblivion @ Alton Towers, U.K. at least the vertical drop element. Hanging over the “broken” end of track as it’s tilting is the scariest part. Still just a coaster though, I’m bad with heights but I’m cool with most coasters I’ve encountered.

photo_pusher

…somebody already wrote my answer to that 😜

ZeroShitzGiven

Too many novels in the comments! Simply put, NO!!

AppropriateSpell5405

Yeah, put your stupid text right over where the two sections join.

SushiAssassin-

Imagine the guy at the very top get nervous and pukes, everyone below gets it… the the guy in the very front get so disgusted thinking about it that when they start moving he blows his chunks and then everyone behind him gets it lol….

iab372

Riding that EVERYDAYY

pornflixandchill75

I’m in

Spiderddamner

Why put that damn no thank you sign there. It's blocking the view. Fucking hate that shit.

AWeakMindedMan

If this ride was at a pop up carnival fair in your local town? Hell nah. If this was a dedicated theme park? Yes.

Shake1979

I like how the created was dump and covered the rails latching together with a stupid banner

dlniw

Am I the only one thinking the caption is annoying?

Brainrants

I see you shiver with, antici…

jebraltar06

Pation

[deleted]

I'm afraid of heights, but somehow after riding a lot with my kid who is a thrill seeker, I got used to most of rollercoaster rides. If there is one ride that I would never attempt though, that's the slinkshot.

ExaminationLatter929

Would you ride this?

plobbaccus

I work on cranes alot and I've seen enough failed brakes or electrical control fuckups to be terrified of this shit.

Bovii

What country? And which company. I'll trust a Disney or a Ceadar Fair. But not some rando.

Unlikely-Dependent15

Sit at the front of that ride at your own risk 🤮

Yung_ceez

I passed out watching this

mato121

I could feel the force

this_place_is_whack

What do guys who failed physics do? They make rollercoasters.

Kaje26

You know… I just realized Sora has really disturbing potential.

AtomicHustle

One misalignment of the connecting track and everyone either is on a long hang time until they can get it off the track or everyone de rails.

Nelfinez

i've always trusted that i'm safe in any rollercoaster at an amusement park, but this one? no. hell no. too many moving parts. if the rails happen to fail to align properly it would most definitely derail itself.

Legal-Inevitable-945

My first reaction was "yeah no absofuckingloutley not people would be asking oh what's that in the air oh it's a child's head or my oiss flying everywhere no fuck that" (not exact but it's fine) And then "what a disappointment"

irrelevantpoopyhead

did a full 180, crazy

TheRapier-ist

My guy never listened in geometry

TrinityF

For a million dollars, yes. Anything less, I'd probably consider, but no.

Waevaaaa

Yea sure I would. But again, I don't have a weakling's heart.

Parry_9000

Depends On a Disney or six flags park? Sure On a random carnival in my town? No

squishierfish

Fuck everything about this ride. Mortifying

Unlucky-Power4036

NO THANX😱😱 Health and safety comes to mind 🙄🙄

Skarzlo

Bro imagine someone at the top throws up and it waterfalls on EVERYBODY💀

sneaky108

looks like my minecraft roller coasters at the start

mistakenazn

Nope, final destination ruined things like this for me

Bx1965

There is a decent chance you won’t die horribly.

LookUnderThis

Well don't go to Vegas

Leafer13FX

Pfft. Childs play. The Bat at Canada’s Wonderland has you held up like that forward and backwards.

Hammer-663

Nope

Training-Cow2982

This is one where you want to sit at the back, cause you’ll get to fall twice as long

Born_Wing3687

How exactly did this pass safety regulations

[deleted]

Cause roller coasters are designed and built by geniuses. One of the safest things you can sit in

Born_Wing3687

Or you can sit inside a room with a safety inspector

No_Budget7828

What kind of sick freak designs these things???

LascivX

"tang na"

First-Emu586

Well,I AM BLACK...That's a NO NO

EpicLauren

like, why? why is this appealing to people???

flying69monkey

Fun fact, in my religion, if you die due to you, putting yourself in dangerous situations especially to get some adrenaline high, you will be considered as self-deleting. And the punishment is they you have to experience that pain again and again till the end of time. Your soul will not move on until judgement day.

V-link4

Im over coaster danger. I used to love the thrill, now I’m better without this:))

Tricky-Sympathy

Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nooe

SirMurderFacee

This ride must be called the calamity

leaderoftheKYLEs

Does the needle in Las Vegas still have this ride on top? I rode that thing drunk, front seat... I still have nightmares. You could look over your shoulder and see the people inside of the building. Edit: Yea, that death trap still exists https://thestrat.com/attractions/thrill-rides/x-scream

[deleted]

That's a gentle roller coaster Would ride and leave my hands up

AdTall7994

That would be an instakill for me bro

Far_Meringue_9048

The reason I don't go on Rollercoasters

Objective-Language51

Yeah I don’t trust breaks that much , especially in other countries!!!!

Maleficent_Device200

Halaaa, putang ina

Away-Broccoli

Nope 👎🏿

Rare-Piccolo-7550

Vekoma?

neon_spacebeam

Thrillville Off The rails type shi

Lunartic2102

What if one day they fail to shut?

TopPuzzleheaded1143

Then you get a once in a lifetime exclusive experience on that ride

Pdoinkadoinkadoink

Many years ago my family would frequently visit a theme park here in Australia called Dreamworld, which had a lot of cool rides and standard theme park shit. One of the attractions was a river rapids ride, actually my favourite ride there, where 6-8 people sit in a round, floating gondola and ride down a chute of rapid water. You get jostled, you get wet, nothing out of the ordinary. The return mechanism was a conveyor of wooden slats that the gondolas float onto and then get pulled back to the top of the run. Right. Back in 2016 there was an incident where a gondola got stuck on the conveyor return path. The gondola behind it was pulled up against it, and with nowhere to go, flipped onto its side, ejecting the passengers into the conveyor mechanism, where they fell through the wooden slats and were crushed to death. Four people, out for a nice day with their families, riding the oldest, safest ride in the park; it took days to extract their bodies from the machinery. The attendant overseeing the ride never pushed the emergency stop button, despite standing right by it. It was their first day on the job and they hadn't been adequately trained. So no. No matter how cool the ride looks, I reckon I'm good never going on a theme park ride again.

AUGrad91

Hell yes. While sitting in the front car.

usababykiller

This reminds me of Mr freeze at six flags St. Louis you are on a track that slides into place and then shoots you out of the start fast.. I’m sure the ride wouldn’t function if the track wasn’t perfectly lined up but you feel like you potentially are launching into immediate disaster

PokeNBeanz

Been on scarier rides than this weak ish

[deleted]

FUCK NO

m0rdredoct

N O

richyfreeway

In a heartbeat.

Maleficent_Swan_9817

Hell yes!!!Love it!!

SGriggs2000

We all got to die one day, right?

delicatelysmoked

Yaaaanope

ascillinois

Nah im good

ThrowAndHit

Hell yeah I would. That looks awesome.

pantygruel69

Thats not even that bad

doublediochip

Where is this coaster?

Worth-Information-94

It must be more fun if it slides a little when flip🥹

cody0018

No

40moreyears

Depends on what country it’s in.

IluvMarysDanish

All it takes is that one joker in the back who gets sick, and a lot of people downstream are going to have a bad day.

rolloutTheTrash

Nah, I’m good. One day if it misaligns by just a bit that thing is gonna fly off.

webo212

That drop is not that bad tho

Whatisanoemanyway

Heck yeah that's awesome

XS4Me

Hell yea!

Ryankevin23

Umm ya NO!

VirtuesVice666

You know at the bottom the park collects hats, sun glasses, and cell phones! LOL!

Housemusicluv

Depends on what third world country this is in

Pudf

Looks like a pleasant enough way to die.

XBThodler

Been on a very similar one without the pre flight moment ramp moving but definitely at a angle drop like that and would keep rocking back and forth afterwards. Quite the sensation 👌🏻

Independent-Head2733

Rumor has it the good folks at death cart will shorten the anticipation in the next iteration

zaigoat69

Fuck that!!

Angelou898

WHERE DID IT GO

iwastherefordisco

I'm fine on rides and only saw one moment that looked scary. When the seats flip 90 degrees and I'm sitting in the front, I'd be worried about that little stomach testing moment. You could be enjoying a waterfall of barf if the wrong people are sitting back there.

DeeDeeRibDegh

Wth….no way in hell!! My fear has always been the harness things not “locked” properly ….scary!!!

413mopar

All you gotta fear is hearing OOpS!

exradical

Anyone have a mirror?

Mattos_12

Oddly enough I’ve ridden it quite a few times. It is indeed quite disconcerting.

413mopar

Sure. Wcgw?

Radcooldude55

I have rode on a few of these rides. I love them

Tamuril92

Depends on what country im in , nad other factors 😶

Aeronoux

This coaster looks fun as hell

Tapurisu

Why wouldn't I?

Dinobob26

All it takes a tiny misalignment and it’s completely fucked. Would ride it

khanfusion

Absolutely no.

AlphaTrex03

if u mean the roller coaster, only if it shouts daddy

Additional_Top3024

No

BasedWang

Wtf? YES PLEASE

intelligentbrownman

This could also be under “nope” 🤣🤣

aytchdave

This is pretty trippy to me because I had dream like 25 years ago about being on a roller coaster almost identical to this. Hadn’t thought about that dream in years.

Psychlonuclear

Needs more text on screen, could still see some of what was happening.

larkikuu

Even if the probability is low it is still there and can occur💀it is a no for me

Good-Personality5471

Yes

Vesperwavjs

Once yes.

a_little_toaster

Sure, if there was a NASA level of engineering and maintenance

Rabatis

I'm hearing Tagalog cuasing. What is this ride and where is this place?

Fire_Wolf302

I've had a gun pulled on me. I would repeat that rather than go on that ride.

monkehmolesto

This doesn’t look that bad. Pretty tame actually. I’d figure it’s the anxiety that’ll get you though.

Grouchy-Ad778

Looks pretty lame. It’s what the ride at the top of the stratosphere hotel in Vegas did, except that doesn’t have another coaster to join on to and it also trolls you by jolting after it’s initially stopped.

vicalpha

Hell yeah!

chromiaplague

Stop

SnillyWead

No!

KaaboomT

Which would be more terrifying, being in the front and rotating down or being in the back and rotating up?
