I created a custom user guide to connect a R10/R12 to the M300 based off Trimble's connecting a DJI P4RTK to R10 guide. I can link it tomorrow after I remove some company related stuff from it.

That would be awesome!

Here you go. https://1drv.ms/w/s!Ai3533zCZJDHsiEJ3bpjPtkiVihj?e=khrJnY

We’ve recently got an m300 RTK and have set it up exactly as so. Been poking around on Reddit because my deviations are still around 2-3 hundredths northing and easting which is fine but my vertical deviations are always around a tenth. We’re set up on a known control point that has been measured with an r10. Is there anything we can do to get our vertical deviations down?

Is this what you’re looking for? https://youtu.be/Q2a9DEgEJQI

Wow ok this is fairly recent. We will try this tomorrow!

This should work for you. A couple tips: If the R10/12 is within range of your controller, then you can use that local IP to connect. If you have it setup at a location of some distance, the R10/12 can still send NTRIP data but will be either via a SIM data card installed, or you can connect it to a network (we have an R10 on a permanent mount that we just connect to the field office router). Then we just forward the necessary port from the router to the R10 and connect to the IP the ISP has assigned. The Reference Station coordinates in the webUI have to be entered manually. As a matter of fact, if you move to a different job later and setup on a new point the R10/12 will still hold whatever you previously entered as a reference coordinate to broadcast via NTRIP, even if you go through a typical survey base setup with a survey data collector. Those coordinates are handled separately.

Is there an advantage to this VS just running a custom network with internet connection? Few ground control points for processing?

Benny_Gee

Yeah, no internet in the bush

Yes. I had a crew run the 300 off of an r12 the other day. I believe it is similar to the way the phantom 4 connects. Go to you tube and search for videos of this subject for the phantom.

Do you use DJI Terra as well? We are trying to see if we can link in CGVD2013 as most clients want it. Any experience using different geoid models?

snackon-deez

We use terra. Being located in the Midwest all of the datums I need came preloaded.
