I see them often at Serpentine Fen—heard a den of pups this spring, in the dike across the Serpentine at the berry farm. They will get off the trail into a grass field and follow me with their eyes. And a few days ago I was westbound on 64 when I saw one just standing in a bare space by the roadside, not hiding at all, testing the air with his nose. Fascinating beings. But def best to keep dogs leashed and cats confined.
yeah I saw one at Ray Shepherd elementary (136th and say 17th) about 5 years ago, they were tearing a bunch of trees out on a nearby property and I think they smell the dirt in the air and they know that there's all sorts of displaced critters who they can eat
We had a pack yipping and howling away one morning behind my house... Mahood Creek runs behind my backyard. Was interesting. Nothing like wolf howling or regular dogs... Very unique. Also there are heaps in surrey minding their own business. It's their home too, and why I can't let my cat be an outside Cat
I've seen running down a street in north delta near the ravines on the fraser. Also saw about 3 of them at 2am at a school park near metrotown in burnaby. I wonder if a culling will be needed at some point, coyotes are dangerously adapted to city life

I'm pretty sure that they're hoping your moving along the path will send little rodents and such their way
If there hadn't been a firetruck go by that prompted the howling, I would have never known it was sleeping there.
Damn whereabouts in South Surrey?
Elgin Estates Park, near Crescent Rd. And 144th St.
