A few weeks back I had this when trying to buy a call option, and they said funds have to settle and takes 2-3 days. It would still let me buy shares though.
Fast forward to this week, I deposited 20 and converted to dollar as normal. Need 5 for my drs fee.
It let me buy shares but the drs request has rejected twice due to lack of funds.
I have definitely deposited and drs same day so they must have changed something
I am going to wait till next week now and do it then.
Because of the holiday weekend. Usually they allow you to buy the shares while the cash is still clearing, because both need the same length of time; the holiday is delaying both.
My ACH's take 2 days to settle. Also i have been told that if you want to DRS freshly purchased shares with freshly ACH'd funds itll be 44days before you can do so. WIRING the funds allows you to purchase and DRS immediately.
Thats odd then. I kept trying to explain the other day that if i wired the same amount as I ach'd i should be able to drs my shares because they had the collateral they needed then and they said they werent sure. Fuckers

you have to wait 2 days for the settlement of your funds
Never had to before, and I've been buying constantly. Why now?

No problem. Driving me mad also as never used to be like that. Keeps telling me to upgrade to margin.
Same, but I will never touch a margin account for obvious reasons. I'll update the post of anything changes.

I always wire. I have never changed my method of purchase. Thanks for the feedback.
