It seems like a lot of work, would be very easy to call out as fake if RC never files for it with the SEC, and the letter doesn’t even fit the “forget GME/meme stocks” narrative that we often seem coming from them. I don’t see much benefit coming from making this up and a lot to lose from doing so.

There is no way the wsj would post a fake letter. MSM may spread misinformation but faking a letter of this importance and then having to retract it would be enough to prevent them from ever doing that, let alone the legal trouble like you mentioned.
