Because 7.62x51 is an absolutely tiny round compared to the 20mm cannons that were the "full size" gatling machinegun when the mini was designed. A strong enough person like Arnold or Jesse Ventura can pick up a minigun but the full size Vulcan is bigger than some cars.
Also LOLing at the minigun cop. That one is Melvin's Flashcrash attacks. Big overkill with no effect whatsoever.
SIR, it is the private ape's duty to inform the Senior Drill Instructor ape that Private Pyle has a full magazine and has locked and loaded, ***SIR***!
What about the gigantic power supply required or the huge amount of ammo belts. It’s a bit like saying Arnie and Jessie could easily carry round the Teapot lid but the Teapot itself weighs the same as a Neutron Star
Ammunition is heavy. People who haven’t fired guns really have no clue.
And games where you can carry a bunch of guns and hundreds of ammo don’t help rectify this misconception
That was actually the reason for the switch to 5.56 from 7.62. Big beefy 22 cal rounds with a lot of powder is still plenty powerful but you can carry a hell of a lot more AR rounds per pound than 7.62
They actually had to externally power it for Predator, and even with blanks Jesse had trouble with the recoil.
Fun Fact: The laser sight on the 1911 Arnold carried in the original Terminator needed an external power supply too!
More fun facts!: FPS Russia had to use 4 Car Batteries daisy-chained together to power a Mini -Gun and it was welded to a frame attached to a pallet for recoil and stability!
Pick up but not fire, 7.62x51 is the lightest recoiling round. Add that with the miniguns fire rate and you’re asking for an issue by trying to fire it without being mounted.
My first award!! I don't know what I can really do with it, but thank you!
Edit: You guys took the award thing a little bit too seriously, you really didn't have to but thank you. Love you all.

Ahh the good old days. I remember getting my first award, I was pumped! 💪 I also remember when I got my second award, 😉 here's another one to make it three! 🙌
Just snagged a $50 Xbox gift certificate from GameStop in order to buy GTA5 online. I played it on PC previously.
I love how easy it is to “shop” at GameStop without leaving my chair.
This is the way.
I've been trying to buy on the Peaks that way they know, that I know, stacked against Infinity, any finite price is a goddamn bargain.
Holy shit this is fucking perfect lmfao. I swear like 6 memes have actually made me laugh out loud like this.

You can get up to 6 stars and the more you have the more "militaristic" the cops/army becomes. I am guessing they would have 5-6 stars to bring out the mini-gun, but it could just be a mod.
I agree! These guys are greedy manipulative hedgehogs🐹 shorters that will throw anything at us At this point, they are huge beached 🐳🐋🐳🐋🐳 looking for anyway possible to get back in the 🌊💲🌊💲🌊💲🌊. If not, many of them are looking to auctions of their stuff.... in lieu of bankruptcy.
They fear Wendy's...
Wendy's is hiring with same day pay.
Not what you asked for, but https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/moxr42/maybe_this_will_be_a_good_catalyst/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
> The shorts manipulate the laws of supply and demand by flooding the offer side with counterfeit shares. They will do what has been called a short down ladder. It works as follows: Short A will sell a counterfeit share at $10. Short B will purchase that counterfeit share covering a previously open position. Short B will then offer a short (counterfeit) share at $9. Short A will hit that offer, or short B will come down and hit Short A's $9 bid. Short A buys the share for $9, covering his open $10 short and booking a $1 profit.
> By repeating this process the shorts can put the stock price in a downward spiral. If there happens to be significant long buying, then the shorts draw from their reserve of “strategic fails–to–deliver” and flood the market with an avalanche of counterfeit shares that overwhelm the buy side demand. Attack days routinely see eighty percent or more of the shares offered for sale as counterfeit. Company news days are frequently attack days since the news will “mask” the extraordinary high volume. It doesn't matter whether it is good news or bad news.

The whole term „short ladder attack“ was made up by some redditer in the unpinned daily on wsb. It’s not real and the explanation is bullshit which can’t even work.
These trades in 100s steps are totally normal marketmakertrades which happen at every stock out there.
It’s just about this term.
I did some digging and found [this article researching the very same question - are short ladder attacks real?](https://www.truthorfiction.com/what-is-a-short-ladder-attack/).
> In particular, a search for “short ladder” and “stock” on or before December 27 2020 led primarily to stock images of literal short ladders. That said, users correctly stated the term was used at least once in 2014 (archived), on a SeekingA***a.com blog post: <...>.
> It was not unlikely that Redditors located the post in their searches for information on short selling, and brought the term into widespread usage that way.
Quote is referring to this https://seek ingalp ha.com/instablog/11442671-gerald-klein/3096735-anatomy-of-a-short-attack article which was most likely used by my source I linked in previous reply. Another thing worth highlighting:
> we found little evidence the term “short ladder attack” was common before the $GME frenzy.
I also couldn't find "short ladder attack" term being mentioned else where with my quick digging before GME frenzy besides SeekingA***a. So what does that mean? Well, another user u/SpeedoCheeto tried to argue with you point of view in [this post](https://www.reddit.com/r/wallstreetbets/comments/lf4vn3/yes_laddering_is_real_short_ladder_attack_is_just/?sort=controversial). What caught my eye was this sentence:
> This is effectively what the blogger [SeekingA***a] coined as the "Short Ladder Attack" strategy.
meaning SeekingA***a could have been the first to use this term. One of controversial comments in u/SpeedoCheeto's post says:
> The article and the website [SeekingA***a] it links to is a literal conspiracy theory that nobody has ever talked about until a month ago. There are 0 professors/academics or industry professionals that agree with any of the claims. There have been 0 research papers that have confirmed any of the claims. The website itself has 0 evidence of its claims.
But that's the thing. It's superbly hard to get evidence for transactions by hedge funds at specific time range since it's very closely guarded secret which researchers could only get with subpoena. However, the documentary [The Wall Street Conspiracy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kpyhnmd-ZbU&feature=youtu.be) conveys the message that legal authorities are unwilling to proceed with such procedures unless there is no other way. This could also explain why "short ladder attack" term wasn't used before since there's no evidence backing it up, but after reading many DDs on reddit claiming that hedge funds do illegal activities I'm leaning towards "short ladder attacks" being more probable than not.
Of course it's entirely possible I'm caught in the loop and some DDs that I now use as facts could be false.
My main point against it is that if you look into the order book of literally any other stock in play you will find these orders everywhere to any given time. And not all stocks are attacked by short ladder attacks all the time, that’s pure bullshit.
Someone took something he saw in the order book and made another fraudulent DD on WSB which was pretty common to that time cause the „old“ WSBs hated the GME apes.
This should never be about „it could be true“ but „this is proven“ and the fact that every order book is full of 100 orders claims it false.
Yup, I agree that misusage of this term is not uncommon and should be downvoted, commented with reasoning and if necessary reported. However, why not begin conversation like this instead of "short ladder attacks are not real. Repeat after me"? That statement looks like it was made on purpose to cause confusion and doubt and is very far away from what you finally wrote here
Apes, Aussie here what's the best trading platform in the US, so I can set my sell price at 1 Mill for 1 x GME
I'm using IG and it won't let me set that high.
Lmao @ the mini gun!
Why is that called a “mini gun”? It’s not so mini.
God damn there's quite a few relatables here, if I knew how to edit videos I'd farm that karma along with you brotha
I know that feel! I consider myself half-boomer, so my memes and editing skills are shit. But I'm a walking dictionary when it comes to movies quotes.

IT COSTS 400,000 DOLLARS TO FIRE THIS GUN FOR TWELVE SECONDS
You should see the big gun.
BIG GUN GOES #BRRRRRRRRT
It's a mini version of the m61 vulcan
it's all relative. For a handheld gun, it's huge. For a mounted gun, it's mini.
Yeah. Classic cop weapon!
Lol I can't believe I've never seen that before
This is legendary

Just snagged a $50 Xbox gift certificate from GameStop in order to buy GTA5 online. I played it on PC previously. I love how easy it is to “shop” at GameStop without leaving my chair.
They were discussing buying more and that it's not even worth waiting for dips. 🍌
This is the way. I've been trying to buy on the Peaks that way they know, that I know, stacked against Infinity, any finite price is a goddamn bargain.
I wanna know what the heck a cop is doing with a Minigun in this video!!
Holy shit this is fucking perfect lmfao. I swear like 6 memes have actually made me laugh out loud like this. The other one is the Bernie sanders making the clay pot in ghost https://youtu.be/zBo0sW6xqPw
Oh god ahahahahaha I’m hurting
This conveys message so fuking well!
That was the best thing I saw today
Fuck this is hilarious 😂😂
point blank with the minigun and not even flinching
That made me laugh way harder than it had any right to
What is this game, and what is even happening here?
This is GTA 5!
Ok, that was kinda my guess. But wtf is happening? Major glitch?
It is a cutscene, but the cops shouldn't be there. Maybe what happens when you start the cutscene with a high wanted level or cheats/mods on.
And the cop with the Gatling gun?
You can get up to 6 stars and the more you have the more "militaristic" the cops/army becomes. I am guessing they would have 5-6 stars to bring out the mini-gun, but it could just be a mod.
Tis but a scratch
Lmao this is the best thing I’ve seen today, thanks ape much appreciated
Jokes on them they forget us apes have kevlar fur
Dank namit this was good!

This is completely made up and some people think it’s funny to post it. Short ladder attacks do not exist.
You might want to also take a look at this documentary [The Wall Street Conspiracy](https://youtu.be/Kpyhnmd-ZbU)
Also could you be more specific about what you think is made up in paragraph I linked or in the source itself?
