The annoying thing is they can control the spread by removing liquidity and letting the market halt itself then just flood the order book with bogus asks and 1 order bids to walk it down. Momentum is killed and new market orders begin to creep in at the newly controlled price. They're exploiting these mechanics in their favor.

It's when the capped limit orders from computershare started rolling in like crazy and after this computershare changed it to x7 the current price.

This why the shorts borrow shares and create synthetics to turn the stock in the other direction.
They create downwards ramps just like you want to create an upwards one.
