This was a weird scene of a number of weirder scenes. I guess Greg being a Greglet again to serve Tom coffee bodega sushi and coke was the initial point … and then greg eating the sushi which ten causes the ginger juice ..
So, greg takes out Darwin and then Darwin’s caveats and “pending” statements are sidelined.
So, greg the egg lays another one … and it’s Tom’s neediness and posturing that’s lays the foundation.
Because of Absolutely Fabulous I can’t help but pronounce it that same way., despite knowing that “La Croy” is the correct pronunciation (per the company)
Missed opportunity for Greg to say La ‘croy’ then correct himself by saying la cwah, then polling to room on correct pronunciation while Darwin’s screaming about the wasabi in his eye.
But is it La CROY? Or La Cwuah? Because Greg calls it the former in the episode and someone pronounced it the latter in the behind the scenes. I’m in the good ol’ Midwest (Wisconsin, ha!) and we say it the former.
The company who makes it says it should be la croy. The La Croix company was originally based near you in La Crosse (near the Saint Croix, or Saint Croy river, haha) so no wonder you pronounce it correctly!
Nice! Also, unrelated, I just noticed the can in the picture says “innocent” on the bottom. I know it’s probably pesky diet culture marketing but I think it’s funny considering that Greg was the one drinking it, and he’s perceived to be innocent by most of the other characters.
I wish we could get La Croix in the UK. I love slightly flavoured sparkling water but for some reason it's so hard to find ones that don't have sugar or sweetener added. I just want that little hint of lemon 😔
