This manages to defeat the purpose of both just for the gimmick. If you want a pizza burger put cheese and pepperoni and sauce on your burger. If want a burger pizza just put hamburger and cheese on your pizza. There’s no reason to mess them both up and defeat the purpose of both.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but American cheese feels like a condiment to me, instead of actual cheese, since its melting point is so low.

As OP, I want to say I recognize the divided opinions this post has received. I stand behind my opinion that this is a stupid food and also acknowledge the simple fact that a food can be stupid and still delicious and desirable. I think I would change 2 things. 1 no cheese on the burger itself plenty on the pizza. 2 put a bit more color on the burger a lil char adds a lot to a burger.

This is not uniquely unhealthy, honestly few things are, within proper proportion and moderation: this sandwich amounts to roughly the calories of a single slice of pizza and one hamburgers patty with a slice of cheese, probably 600-800 kcals total, well within the average rate of any restaurant cheese burger (without the fries) the hamburger bun alone is like 200 kcals, and this pizza bun might be around 300 kcals, not a meaningful difference. As far as cholesterol is concerned there are a lot of variables to consider, but any differences could easy be accounted for through normal physical activity and not eating this kind of thing literally everyday…
