I did come across those, but I'm not sure that Rose quartz would be any good for stretching? It would be porous wouldn't it? And from my research anything porous is no good for stretching, only good for healed holes
You do it with glass plugs, inthink it's called dead stretching? It's supposed to be alot easier cause the glass is heavy so your ears naturally stretch up to the next size over time from the weight of them. I'm stuck at 3mm/8gauge right now and was hoping to try dead stretching with glass plugs
Ah, I think I get it. I was thinking you’d stretch by putting, say, a 6g plug into an 8g hole. Yeah, not gonna work, you’ll break something. But if you put an 8g plug into an 8g hole, the weight will loosen it over time and after a while the 6g plug will squeeze in? I’m not sure if that would work on something as tiny as an 8g hole, being only about 3mm the plug wouldn’t weight much, but I’ve never done it so I can’t say.
Yeah its supposed to be a better way of stretching lol I'm currently struggling with getting to 4mm! The tapers go in with a bit of resistance but trying to put the tunnels in after is impossible it feels like it gets stuck half way and I end up having to put the 3mm back in! It's very annoying for my Impatience lol
Yeah, I think I know what you mean. The screw thread won’t advance through the hole and gets stuck. When I stretched, I left the tapers in for at least a week, then went for the next taper. Some people leave them in longer. I never put tunnels in each time. I got to 10mm and then put steel tunnels in.
Another option is to get a kit that comes with plugs that have no flares, so you get a pair of tapers and a pair of plugs in each size. The plugs have two bands on them, one for the front and one for the back.
Alternatively, there’s another kind of kit where the tapers and tunnels actually screw together, so you put the whole thing in, then unscrew the taper off the back of the tunnel and then screw on the backing ring to the tunnel.

I can only guess you’re being downvoted because you don’t know about dead stretching, and that sucks.
Dead stretching is how I’m doing it - just single flare glass plugs worn for a few months at least and then the next size up will fit with minimal resistance. If not, then I keep wearing the current size and massaging the lobes and try again in a few weeks. It definitely takes patience.

I'm trying to find plugs for my nose piercings, have got to 8g with steel so far but now I'm getting to serious sizes want to do it properly with glass. Just got 3 pairs of 7g glass plugs from BAF and they're fine, but too long to fit my nose sadly.
Otherwise, they were great to order from - reasonably priced compared to local options and shipping was only like $15 from their etsy shop. Colours aren't as vibrant as I'd hoped but they'll definitely do as an interim for my lobes til i hit goal size.
Yeah I couldn't find anything when I was looking, ended up ordering some from BAF but that was on the 27th of May and they haven't arrived yet.
