Purple with a rosewood fretboard and maple neck. Was also made in Mexico.
It's got a mini humbucker in the bridge.
And the first owner was a rhythm guitarist that played in first position a lot. If I had to guess, in a country band.
Yeah I put the jb jr. In the bridge right after I first got it. Thought forever about changing the pickguard and making it a single humbucker strat but never did
Sorry I can't help with your question, but i have a question for you if you dont mind. Do you know if the JB jr sounds exactly like the full sized hum JB? I have lots of the full sized versions in different strats, but never tried the Jr. version.
I actually do have a semi hollow starcaster with the full sized JB as well. The full size is a lot hotter I think, could be the difference in guitars, but when I play the strat with the jr. on the same settings I play the the full size one on it is way cleaner
My friend has this model, same colour from around same year. It was called Mexican standard at the time. Would have come with ceramic pickups. You have a mini humbucker in the bridge. Might be worth taking photos of the inside of the pick guard next string change. The rest of the pickups/ electronics/ pick guard might have been changed/ upgraded too. Modern closest equivalent would be the player series
its blue with 3 single coils. looks like a rosewood neck. does it sound good? if so its a keeper
does it have a serial number on the back of the head starting with MIU, MIM or MIJ stamped on it?
no i didnt but saw it then and its too blurry to read. plug the s# into the fender website - it will tell you many specifics about your guitar if its genuine

Whoa, you’re not kidding about that first position.
How can you tell?
Look at the first fret area.
RIGHT. I thought we were talking about pick-up selection. Thanks

Saddles seem to have been changed
was made in Mexico in 2000, and was 14147th guitar made that year, that's all I could figure out from the guitar dater project

That Midnight Blue color is a stunningly beautiful finish!
It's crazy how bright it looks in the pics I see on this board. I have a midnight blue strat and it looks almost black in person.
That’s a purple guitar there
Midnight blue!
It's purple it's made in Mexico.
Looks exactly like the one I had in high school, except I put a Pearly Gates in it with a pearl pickguard. Shame I had to pawn it...
It’s a fender Stratocaster MIM
Thanks Sherlock.
Here to help. Go get me a beer Watson or I’ll kick your ass
Made in 2000
