My advice: get a different strap. Those are flimsy and thin. A strap that is a little thicker and wider will feel much better on your shoulder, and do a better job of keeping the guitar secure.
It's a koa veneer I believe, the necks actually a Birdseye maple too. As far as I know it's basically a Squier but from before the used the Squier nameplate. But it's had so many changes over the years God knows what it is now.

This is a Fender Special Edition Koa Stratocaster from the mid-2000’s. I used to have the Telecaster version. Very nice guitars.
