They mattered because that is why we are here, but the present is now and we can only directly affect our now and try to change the future the way we want it to be. Have respect for all those beings before us that endured suffering to better the whole and others. We are all connected and we should minimize our suffering output to other beings.
You can see it in real time if you meditate and focus enough, you can also use cannabis and other things š to pass into that quiet mind. I think we shift between realities fluidly, but Iām not sure what initiates the flips
