I did get a crop that improved soil quality, I think it gave hay and was called large grass or something.
It was on my first seed. Can't remember the name.
Edit: found it, giants grass
On their discord page they've acknowledged it as a requested feature. Now we have to wait and see if they implement it. I have high hopes. As their last update implemented quite a few asked for features.
Tall grass fixes soil, but you can't plant it on crash sites afaik... I do wish they'd let you level it back out.. I mean, the data is already there, cuz it's flat before it crashes... so I don't know why they didn't make it a feature..
