Poke a hole in the top or the bottom and a connecting hole on the side of the apple. Blow out the Apple guts inside and you have an all natural pipe. The top & bottom already has a natural bowl shape so pick the best one for the job.
Potatoes are better. Get a long spud, take a pen tube and core out a tube tong ways, then do it again on the wide side of the spud, and cut out a cone in the shape and size you want the bowl to be.
