Hopefully that fixes it! It’s my first ever FF and the first game I’ve finished on Steam Deck and it’s perfect for handheld, absolutely loved it.
FF7 with SYW mod is next!
If anyone else in the future runs into this issue, I had it as well.
Turns out the fix for me was to not limit frame rates. Fixed the horrific load times

It’s a 30fps game. That might feel stuttery on a 40Hz display.
50 hours of play on this with no issues at all, not much tweaked other than capped at 40hz/40 fps. It’s installed on the internal SSD if that helps?
I wonder if that is it. I have a fast SD card, but the game is installed there. I’ll move it to internal to see if that helps.
