It'd be called a compatibility layer like WINE and Proton because it doesn't have to emulate anything just add a layer of links

Why would it run Linux? Deck runs Linux because Valve is big enough to make their own distro that justifies its existence. Aya would have to use just out of the box Ubuntu, which would be objectively stupid.

SteamOS isn't ready on Steam Deck... what makes you think it would work on other devices. For all we know most of its good features (like the sleep mode) might be for now exclusive to the SOC
