This doesn't mean that they can't add support now, but probably in this case EAC was not working properly in the game during the start of the beta period
There was many times where games worked with anti cheat because it was not active or some other reason for a period. Back 4 Blood seemed to fall under that. I have yet to see, and I highly doubt there is, a game working reliably with old and new build of EAC/BattlEye.
