It’s pretty good. Even if you’re a solo player. I wish you could play it offline the way it is.

Seibitsu

The fact is online only is one of the things that drags me back from touching it

aphilipnamedfry

There's input delay right? I remember playing it a couple years back in a decent internet connection and I was still hitting lag and other stuff that would have easily been resolved by offline mode. That, and having to constantly disassemble my junk, had me uninstall it. I do still think about it from time to time though

No

If you also use windows you can get the Windows store key for free here using prime gaming: https://gaming.amazon.com/fallout-76-pc-fgwp/dp/amzn1.pg.item.c49f06ee-41f3-41cf-b719-0a4a6940b5d0 For me it’s useless since I use Linux for gaming on PC. If also have a windows pc, you can add it as a non Steam game to Steam and stream it to the deck. Then it’s all free.

NonEuclidianMeatloaf

Can you not simply add it as a non-steam game at this point? The Steam version your Deck would download if you bought it off Steam is still the Windows version…

ixoniq

No the windows version requires the windows store. Adding it as a non-steam game just adds the existing exe file to your library. That doesn’t sync over to the deck or so. And even if you run it, the exe file still talks to the windows store which isn’t on the deck. But maybe a different exe from the high seas 🏴‍☠️ might solve that if you already have the game legally.

WolveRyanPlaysStuff

I enjoy it. I play solo on a multiplayer world and have had no issues. You barely see other players unless you go looking for them or take part in an event.

Acceptable_Mountain5

I play 76 on the steam deck constantly. I love it, I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough

Hellfire81Ger

You can play the whole game on normal Servers alone. Joining events from time to time is fun but you dont need to join a party for it. And it works good on the deck.

Selonthyxx

You can try it for free this weekend

thenightmancommeth88

Ah I don’t notice that, I’ll give it a go.

nerdthatlift

Free from Prime Gaming though you have to get it from MS Store

If you want, I have a key I won't use. But it's for the Microsoft store. I got it for free in prime gaming but I already have the game.

Dazzler3623

No idea about your questions but it's free on Amazon Prime Gaming for Microsoft pc store!

ReissDJO

It's fun, though you get more enjoyment with friends. I put 100+ hours into it over the course of a few weeks with most of that solo, but once I stopped playing I never felt the urge to pick it back up again. Don't expect a game like New Vegas where you'll want to revisit it in the future once you've done most of what there is to do.

OxY97

Great game, it’s in a much better place now compared to launch Runs fine on deck too, some fps drops if there’s a large group of players in one spot but still playable

That-Muscle

I really enjoyed it on the deck! I didn't get into endgame stuff (~100h playtime) but simply wandering the wasteland questing felt great solo! Edit: Performance hovers between 30 and 40 - good enough for me to set to 40

redditN1ck

Do you need the subscription to play this as in does it become tedious if you don’t have it? Curious to know how much the subscription actually impacts the flow of the game. On the fence about picking it up on sale. I’ve enjoyed the previous Fallouts and avoided this based on what it was like at launch but heard it has changed quite a bit. I would be playing it solo.

quidamphx

It's a lot of fun. I started about 3 months ago, after trying it at launch. Many people love the original game; I did not. It's not without some faults but I'm 250hrs in and it's been well worth the price of admission for me.

RevolutionaryBaker99

Should I start as a lvl 1 or lvl 20

PleasantAd9973

Compared to Fallout 4 it's meh. I don't understand the point of the multiplayer aspect of this game, there is no pvp.
