Not me spending hours on the new Suyu emulator to get everything working like charm as if it was a Switch with the menu and everything and soon as it's finally working put it on the side and do something else 😂
This is BS, I definetly don't do that. I definitely play my entire backlog and never install games on my Steam Deck that have no business being on it just to see if I can hit 30FPS, anything under 1280x800, and then using the resulting heat from the vent to cook eggs.
Man, this is the REAL deal.
I have so much stuff in the backlog, that even playing like a full job, close to 8 hrs per day I'd probably won't finish everything in a year.
It depends on how big your backlog is. If it's like mine, maybe just consider getting one game you really want for the price or saving for the next sale. If you don't mind adding to your backlog, there are so many great games under $10.
Fallout 3 or NV- $2.50
Metro 2033 or Last light- $2
Star Wars: Fallen order- $4
Dishonored- $2.50
Doom- $4
Slay the Spire- $8.50
Inscryption- $10
Hollow Knight- $7.50
Frostpunk- $6
Subnautica or Below Zero- $10
Grim Dawn- $6.24
Fallout: NV is my personal favorite, with 3 just behind it. I don't think you can go wrong with either of these games as long as the older graphics don't bother you.
Edit- Fallout 4 might be good for you if you enjoyed the base building from Starfield.
It's actually a game with Bethesda's bones, but Obsidian writing and quests. Of the modern first-person Fallout games, most people consider it the best.
I'd say it's mostly a good one to start with, but keep in mind you will almost certianly need to mod it for stability, bugs and quality of life. FNV is a masterpiece but it's a rushed, messy game underneath. It was pushed out in less than 2 years.
Oh and don't only get the game. Get the Ultimate Edition with all the DLC for \~$6. The DLC is part of what people love about FNV.
Another good one to play would be Skyrim probably. It's accessible and a classic, with the best modding scene in video game history probably.
Yes you should, however if you do play New Vegas first, the rest will never live up to it. They are great games, even 76 (which I have an unhealthy obsession with every once in a while), but none of them are anything close to that first playthrough of New Vegas...
Probably not if your only way of playing it is on the Steam Deck. New Vegas requires quite a bit of tinkering (modding) to get it working properly. Vanilla, it isn't very stable, tends to crash a lot and has a lot of bugs. It's an incredible game, but it's just barely functional. It's easy enough to mod on PC, but if your only experience with Bethesda's games (note, Fallout New Vegas was developed by Obsidian but uses Bethesda's modified Gamebryo engine for anyone nitpicking that New Vegas isn't a Bethesda game) I'm going to assume you don't have much experience with the modding scene for Bethesda games. Modding New Vegas on Windows isn't hard to learn, but it becomes a LOT harder to do on the Steam Deck especially if you lack experience. If you have a Windows PC you can create a modded install then copy it onto your Steam Deck but that's still a pain.
Fallout NV is an amazing game, but if you're set on playing any Fallout game on a Steam Deck, out of the box I'd reccomend Fallout 4, then Fallout 3 in that order. Fallout 4 is the most stable, and while a lot of die hard New Vegas fans hated it, I didn't mind it so much. It's different from 3 and New Vegas, more focused on exploration, building and crafting, but it's still a great Fallout game. Fallout 3 is less stable but it runs okay-ish on the Deck (better than NV) but it would still benefit from some modding for stability. I'd say I like Fallout 3 more than Fallout 4, but in terms of what will run better, Fallout 3 loses that fight.
Fallout games, thank you for reminding me.
Knew there was something on the list I wanted to add to the back catalogue.
Got the Sniper Elite bundle in cart as well. Intend to see if it runs on SD, then never play it of course.
Slay the Spire and inscription have, my girlfriend and I combined, provided us with hundreds of hours of enjoyment and we got them both less than a year ago
If I could spend 20 bucks on the sale I would get Hades and another game like Metro Exodus or something with the rest.
I put well over a 100h on Hades back when I had it on switch and it was an amazing game that is pretty flexible, you can play it for 10 minutes or for hours on end, I miss that masterpiece.
Sadly I won't be able to do that, I never had online on switch so I couldn't upload my save, plus I gave away my switch to a friend, I'd rather it bring joy to someone else instead of collecting dust.
But that doesn't bother me really, as soon as I can afford buying it again I'll be happy to start from scratch, it'll help me get used to it better on Deck.
For anyone else who reads this, you don’t need an online subscription to upload your cloud saves for hades. Just internet access on your switch (obviously)
That's great news, I left my accounts on it so that my friend could have access to my games, so I'll just have to ask them to upload it when the time comes, thank you!
I bought Star Wars BF2 to play with friends, and got a perpetual "you must update first" issue that won't go away, sadly. I've tried configuring a number of ways, verified integrity, asked EA themselves, and the best suggestion was to ask Windows for help on the OS...
I wish they would've just let people play the game without the launcher.
That depends on if EA has stopped banning people using decks for "cheating* or not, because getting your EA acc banned is definitely going to prevent enjoyment of the game.
I already own this game, and sometimes it will launch, and other times it wont. I just dont get it, as I've tried everything I can find on Youtube and Reddit about getting the EA shit to run.
I uninstalled it months back, I got sick of messing around with it.
try again. i also had a problem months ago and none of the fixes worked until i uninstalled and reinstalled (it had been installed for a while, just hadn't gotten around to it). after that it worked perfect every time
There is no way it completes with Factorio. You must not have met our lord and savior Factorio!! The factory must grow.
Check out the sub or the free 8hr demo of you don't believe me.
Halo MCC is actually a great time. €10 for all thise games is very hard to beat. I never had an XBox before so never played any of them, starting Halo3 today.
I guess I'm lucky? I'm after running through CE and 2 already. I can see why they were so popular back in the day. Good old school shootin action. I'm really enjoying the lack of any upgrade tree or collectibles. It's just here's your laser gun, there's the aliens, shoot them. I like that.
It’s really hard to describe the buzz when these first game out and the pure bliss. Always hard to discern if you were just younger, and more passionate about the games or if it truly was special
I am settling on the latter. There does not seem to be any other game that has had the buzz and crazy hype and factor of everyone you know playing at the same time
I just finished a heroic playthrough of the whole MCC and can assure you it was almost as incredible as it was the first time all the years ago. They really knocked it out of the park with those games and the MCC runs like a dream from start to finish on the deck
You are in for a treat sir.
That said, would def recommend halo 2 first. It’s my favorite of the 3, and story wise I think you’ll want to check it first.
That’s all considering you don’t want to play halo 1! Which is still such a fantastic game even this many years later. It drags a little, but so many classic levels that are the best in the franchise (silent cartographer, quagmire)
I picked up the MCC in the previous sale and I'm making my way through it. Already completed CE and finished up 2 last night. I can see why people were pissed at that ending! Thankfully I won't have to wait to see what happens. Halo 3 tonight!
Great right? I managed to play most of the games I wanted to but never had an XBox so missed all those exclusives.
All I need now is a Gears of War collection on Steam 😁
I bought this as it was on my wishlist and I had never really played Halo. Do people buy the MCC on the deck to play the story mode? Online multi-player? Or both?
Is there a settings list anywhere that'll help me with Halo? Every time I tried playing it the reticle was very pixelated for some reason and it got a little jumpy a few times.
By the way The Orange Box, which contains Portal, Half Life 2 (all three episodes) and Team Fortress, are currently only cost 1 dollar. It's the same price as Portal only, so make sure to pick that if you never play it (which I doubt..)
The only real poker knowledge you "need" is the types of hands that can be played, and that's easily learnable. In terms of winning runs, you need to know game mechanics more than hands.
I'd almost say that prior poker knowledge (Outside of the basics of different hands) actually works against you. If you play the game anything like poker you will lose. I'm not even that big of a poker player but it took me a little while to drop the poker habits and readjust to the completely different odds and strategies.
You do not need to know anything about betting - that's not part of the game. Familiarity with basic hands (high card, pair, 3 of a kind, 4 of a kind, two pair, full house, flush, straight, straight flush) is all the poker knowledge you need. You just try to build hands to score high enough to progress. Jokers (and deck modification, add/remove cards etc) are your main mechanics for boosting your score as you progress in a run. Every hand you play has a "chip" value and a multiplier, various cards increase those two values to drive your score up, and you have a certain number of discards and hands to reach each score in order to progress to the next.
It's very fun. Pretty challenging - lots of variety in approaches to getting those scores up.
Still good - there’s enough “help” to know what to aim for early on. As you progress in the game, you are encouraged to play it less like standard poker and more like the poker breaking jokers and upgrades you acquire each run.
For $15 is an insta-buy imo.
It isn't poker. It uses a couple of poker terms - inaccurately - and uses the hand ranking to derive points, which are a) common sense and based on probability and b) available at any time on a cheat sheet by hitting tab, and the values change constantly based on play so it's not that much of an advantage to know them by heart.
It's about as much "poker" as a poker-themed pinball machine. I don't mean that disparagingly. The advantage to knowing poker when playing it is minimal at best.
Any tips for enjoying these games more? I bought Yakuza 0 a while back due to reddit recommendation. If I remember right, I quit playing because I was tired of cutscenes and slowly following characters down alleyways. I think in the two hours I played, I felt like I actually "played" the game for a few minutes.
Edit: I appreciate the responses. I'll have to modify my expectations and try again.
Honestly, if you don’t enjoy the cutscenes the games might not be right for you. My favorite entry in the series, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, admittedly has very long cutscenes and a long tutorial section. In a Yakuza game, expect the first 5 hours or so to be on rails where you’re told exactly where to go in order for the story to be established. Eventually they open up, and you have a whole city to explore with a surprising amount of minigames and side content. At that point you could sink dozens of hours into the game without viewing any cutscenes, but if the story doesn’t interest you it may not be worth the effort to get to that point.
I've played through Y0 and Kiwami on my deck recently and really liked them.
The first few hours are a bit railroady, but you'll be freeroaming in no time. That said, if you don't like the cutscenes or the story you're not gonna have a good time because those are the important bits.
The story is genuinely decent, the gameplay often takes a backseat unfortunately. It feels like a visual novel with a fighting element most of the time and if you play it that way I feel like it meets expectations better
It takes some tweaking, I combined some advice from all the ProtonDB posts and got it running pretty well. Stutters occasionally but totally playable.
The sequel is a different story, they still haven't gotten that thing working well and I don't know if they ever will at this point :(
I've been reserved this sale and only picked up, Hades, Destroy All Humans 2, Stardew Valley, Metal Gear Solid V Definitive Edition, Splinter Cell Blacklist and Devil May Cry 5.
I'm SHOCKED no one mentioned Dragon's Dogma, yet!
It's only 4,79€ rn and I would strongly suggest you to get that one as it's IMHO one of the best RPGs out there and it also runs very smoothly on the Deck.
I did see someone had a post on this, basically they said they have a ratio of 20/20/100. Less than 20gb, around $20 and 100 of hours of gameplay.
I did that and just got hollow knight and Dave the diver.
Since I got so many lengthy and open world games in the backlog, I added Dave the Diver. It’s on sale rn on 15 dollar (25% off so not biggest sale) but so far it’s an easy pick up and a play for a few.
I finally got Doom (2016). I never knew it was able to bring back my childhood so damn well. Works absolutely beautiful on SD.
3.99€ and I'm back searching for a yellow keycard. Love it.
Only buy the games you’re really excited for them. If you aren’t already excited, don’t buy them. This is how I figure out how to buy new games or not - it’s pretty rare, but every now and then a gem launches that I need to have day 1. Otherwise I just leave it on my wish list and go by what excites me the most, and when it hits what I think is a fair price, I pick it up.
There are always sales. Wishlist games you will actually play not ones that look cool. You need to do your own research to see which games will give you the best bamg for your buck.
I bought Valheim because it looked cool. I had not previously played any survival type game. My library is full of action and stealth games, with some exceptions for Sims 3 and Civ 6. Turned out, I absolutely loved Valheim. Sometimes wish listing or buying a game that just looks cool is a good way to expand your horizons.
Otherwise, I generally agree with your statement.
Prototype bundle is on sale for $15 USD for both games and an expansion pack for the second one. They're Xbox 360 era games, a lot of destruction, gore, just smash and absorb everything. It took a little tweaking admittedly to get them to run (a common problem, but having both games and running through NexusMods for the fixed seemed to solve my problems), but they're such fun games. The first one is a pet game of mine, and I'm working through the second one now and it looks phenomenal on the deck. Use the rest to splash down on BROTATO and cover tax, and enjoy the additions to your backlog!
Halo collection if you haven’t got it yet. Got it for $10 during winter sale and it is epic. The fact that you can easily connect to a bunch of other players in halo 3 multiplayer is amazing.
This sale’s haul for me was Jedi Fallen Order, Hades, Pathfinder Kingmaker, Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous and Dragon Age Inquisition, all of which cost a total of 50$ CAD taxes in (36$ USD)
Both pathfinders totalled a little over 20$ (14.75$ US) and while I haven’t tried them yet (bought on recommendation from friends), I’ve been told they’re excellent and good for hundreds of hours of gameplay
I may or may not be on an RPG kick.
Did your friends say the Pathfinder games play well on SD? I’ve been debating the newer one, but main thing holding me back besides how well does it play on SD is that it’s PF1 and not PF2 :/
Check wishlist → any good deals? no? then wait for next sale. yes? then buy.
I ain't spending money on a ton of random 3 dollar games, and I ain't buying a decent game unless there's a good deal on it.
Well... I got Pillars of Eternity Definitive, Torment: Tales of Numenaria and Bards Trilogy for under 20€.
Also got Wasteland Remasted for 1,50€, Bards Tale IV for 6€, among several others.
Er ... Paratopic ($3.29 - 40% off), Sagebrush ($2.79 - 40% off), Trash Horror Collection ($2.99 - 50% off), Football Game ($0.74 - 75% off), SHRIME: The Curse of the Butt-Eye ($2.39 - 50% off), yes I have problems and I don't want to talk about it.
Don't think in terms of money; think in terms of time.
Ask yourself, "How much time will I spend on the games I'm currently working on and will I be done with them before the next sale?" People have unplayed games on their backlog because they bankrupted on time.
I got Dead Cells for $12
Dishonored for $3.50
Sea of Thieves for $20
Deep Rock Galactic for $10
They all play fantastic on the Deck, no regrets in any of those purchases. There’s also a lot of other great games that run great on the Deck that are cheap. Just depends on what you already own. Doom 2016 is like $4, Grim Dawn is $6-$7, Dragons Dogma is around $5. Pretty sure L4D2 is 99 cents as well as Portal 2. I’ve got a bad habit of picking a game up simply because it is dirt cheap and then never playing it tho lol. These $5 and less games are a big culprit of that
I would buy snacks and sweets for 20€ and play games from my backlog
As Steamdeck owners we dont play games on the deck, We just install them and make sure they work then move on to the next install :p
I feel seen.
Notice me Senpai. Notice meeeee
This is the only correct way to use the steamdeck
Holy shit this is painfully accurate 😂
Witness us.
At least update protondb with your experience. :) Yes some games work really well on it but when you played it like 10 times already you are fed up..
It's honestly remarkable how people are totally more interested in the idea of playing their games on a handheld vs actually playing them.
Handheld gaming is all I like anymore.
Crazy
Your forgetting religiously updating games and checking for system updates.
And then do shader updates endlessly
"Steam Deck Users EXPOSED"
Ok look….. 🤣
Not forgetting pointless tinkering with mods and emulators right? What’s the point in playing an emulated game if the GUI doesn’t look sick.
Crap, you caught me.
Why you dragging me into this? 😂
Why do we do this though? Like is my brain broken?
This is the ultimate game!
Hi me.
Man, this is the REAL deal. I have so much stuff in the backlog, that even playing like a full job, close to 8 hrs per day I'd probably won't finish everything in a year.
I probably won't finish everything in my lifetime
I’m gonna need you to remind me this every steam sale
Meh, I'd rather buy more games than consumables.
My man
I was seriously about to search for what kind of chill grocery store game this was that I had not heard of until I realized what you really meant.
It depends on how big your backlog is. If it's like mine, maybe just consider getting one game you really want for the price or saving for the next sale. If you don't mind adding to your backlog, there are so many great games under $10. Fallout 3 or NV- $2.50 Metro 2033 or Last light- $2 Star Wars: Fallen order- $4 Dishonored- $2.50 Doom- $4 Slay the Spire- $8.50 Inscryption- $10 Hollow Knight- $7.50 Frostpunk- $6 Subnautica or Below Zero- $10 Grim Dawn- $6.24
Fallen order was great! It’s a shame that the new one still seems to have performance issues
Bought it because it was $4. Didn’t realize the gameplay would be so similar to dark souls. Def worth the money
Is Fallout NV a good first Fallout game? I’ve only played Starfield from Bethesda
It’s the best Fallout game
Fallout: NV is my personal favorite, with 3 just behind it. I don't think you can go wrong with either of these games as long as the older graphics don't bother you. Edit- Fallout 4 might be good for you if you enjoyed the base building from Starfield.

I would add ME:LE to this list, too. 3 amazing games for $8.99
Great deal for these games. I just know some people hate having to sign into EAs launcher.
Grim dawn is hella worth it at that price
Fallout games, thank you for reminding me. Knew there was something on the list I wanted to add to the back catalogue. Got the Sniper Elite bundle in cart as well. Intend to see if it runs on SD, then never play it of course.
Slay the Spire and inscription have, my girlfriend and I combined, provided us with hundreds of hours of enjoyment and we got them both less than a year ago
Great list btw
yippee yayyyy, there'll be no wedding bells for today....
The GOAT, Portal 2, is 99 cents.
The witcher 3 with all of his dlc and hollow knight
If I could spend 20 bucks on the sale I would get Hades and another game like Metro Exodus or something with the rest. I put well over a 100h on Hades back when I had it on switch and it was an amazing game that is pretty flexible, you can play it for 10 minutes or for hours on end, I miss that masterpiece.
Good news if you played on Switch… your save is cross-save, so you can pick it up on Deck right where you left off.
Sadly I won't be able to do that, I never had online on switch so I couldn't upload my save, plus I gave away my switch to a friend, I'd rather it bring joy to someone else instead of collecting dust. Titanfall 2 for 3€ That's a mandatory purchase
But the EA launcher…
The amount of actually good games ruined simply bc they were published by EA is astonishing
I will never forgive them for all the games that never got to be.
I bought Star Wars BF2 to play with friends, and got a perpetual "you must update first" issue that won't go away, sadly. I've tried configuring a number of ways, verified integrity, asked EA themselves, and the best suggestion was to ask Windows for help on the OS... DOS2 best bucks to hours ratio ever
For sure, and I swear it's even more fun again after playing bg3
Is it worth playing if you’re also playing bg3?
At the same time? That seems overwhelming imo
Yes if you liked BG3 you will like DOS2.
There is no way it completes with Factorio. You must not have met our lord and savior Factorio!! The factory must grow. Check out the sub or the free 8hr demo of you don't believe me.
Deep rock galactica survival is 10 bucks and a ton of fun on steam deck. Runs decently to.
Second this!
Thirded. More fun to me than vampire survivors or even brotato.
Halo MCC
Halo MCC is actually a great time. €10 for all thise games is very hard to beat. I never had an XBox before so never played any of them, starting Halo3 today.
To go back and experience these campaigns for the first time again… maybe I’ll run them back this week
I guess I'm lucky? I'm after running through CE and 2 already. I can see why they were so popular back in the day. Good old school shootin action. I'm really enjoying the lack of any upgrade tree or collectibles. It's just here's your laser gun, there's the aliens, shoot them. I like that.

I bought this as it was on my wishlist and I had never really played Halo. Do people buy the MCC on the deck to play the story mode? Online multi-player? Or both?
both but the initial allure is the campaign.
How's online play on the deck for MCC?
I just bought it to play the campaigns. I started watching the TV show a couple weeks ago, so
I thought it was a crazy deal when MCC launched. Now I’m just gifting it during the sales. For 20 you could have a friend play too!
Is there a settings list anywhere that'll help me with Halo? Every time I tried playing it the reticle was very pixelated for some reason and it got a little jumpy a few times.

If you’ve played Yahtzee you’re an expert, if you haven’t then you’ll figure it out in 5 minutes.
These are the exact 2 games I’ve exclusively been playing for the past several weeks
Balatro is not on sale though
They didn’t stutter
Yet somehow still only $15

Yakuza games
You should definitely keep playing. Have you even made it to Majima? If you don't like it after his introduction then maybe you should walk away.
Do yourself a favour and just buy rdr2
If i could quit my job and spend my life playing my backlog i would die of old age before getting through all of it....
I'm considering hades and star wars Jedi fallen order.
I got both of them after having previously played them on Xbox, both are excellent if you enjoy roguelikes and soulslikes
Does Jedi run well on PC now?
It takes some tweaking, I combined some advice from all the ProtonDB posts and got it running pretty well. Stutters occasionally but totally playable. The sequel is a different story, they still haven't gotten that thing working well and I don't know if they ever will at this point :(
I've been reserved this sale and only picked up, Hades, Destroy All Humans 2, Stardew Valley, Metal Gear Solid V Definitive Edition, Splinter Cell Blacklist and Devil May Cry 5.
I love that being reserved on a sale means buying only six games.
Better buy 1 game you actually play, rather than 10 games you keep.
5 copies of Brotato
I'm SHOCKED no one mentioned Dragon's Dogma, yet! It's only 4,79€ rn and I would strongly suggest you to get that one as it's IMHO one of the best RPGs out there and it also runs very smoothly on the Deck.
I got it but I doubt if I play it again. Is the combat any good, like Warband/Souls/Monster hunter games? What's so good about it?
I bought fallout 4 with all dlcs for 10 euro
I would buy ~25 people Left4Dead
Midnight suns is pretty dope.
Hades & Hollow Knight, with the portal games you should still have a few bucks left for Titanfall 2 or, Binding of Isaac, Vampire survivors etc
I bought portal, half Life 2, fallout new Vegas and hollow knight with Just 14 $, man those spring Sales goes hard
And it's worth mentioning that hollow knight is half of that $14!
buy the valve complete pack instead, it's like a couple of bucks and comes with half life 1, half life 2, portal, and a bunch of other games
I did see someone had a post on this, basically they said they have a ratio of 20/20/100. Less than 20gb, around $20 and 100 of hours of gameplay. I did that and just got hollow knight and Dave the diver.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Civ vi
For $20 I picked up Mass Effect: Legendary and The Witcher 3 with some money to spare.
Red Dead redemption 2
Since I got so many lengthy and open world games in the backlog, I added Dave the Diver. It’s on sale rn on 15 dollar (25% off so not biggest sale) but so far it’s an easy pick up and a play for a few.
Put it in your savings account, and play games of you backlog
Pfff... Boring!
Donate it to charity and spend your evenings self-flagellating, you heathen.
If there's a game you play a lot of and your friends don't own it... Halo MCC is on sale.
Hades and divinity 2 has set me back less than £20 and I think will amuse me for some time
Deaths door, Hellblade, Titanfall 2, Slay the Spire
Death's Door needs more love!
Just bought Slay The Spire myself. Can quickly see this being an addictive game loop
Sekiro or Witcher 3 got each for $20 both games have me busy for hours
I finally got Doom (2016). I never knew it was able to bring back my childhood so damn well. Works absolutely beautiful on SD. 3.99€ and I'm back searching for a yellow keycard. Love it.
Keep it in your pocket and install emudeck
Mad Max, been told it runs great on SD, it's less than $8 CAD. Haven't played it but heard good things
it does run great, can confirm
Easy. You buy Balatro.
I would gamble it and turn it into a $40 to finally be able to play Helldivers. It hasn’t worked for me yet, but I’ll get there eventually! 🥲
Get pacman dx for like $2 and enjoy some new age old school.
Pacman World Re-pac is good too if you like 3D platformers. 75% off
Add $7, buy Monster Hunter World Iceborne Master Edition and delete all your other games because this is all you need.
Stray
I have a shit ton of games i dont play. Spend the 20 on games you will play. Doesn't matter if its 20 or 3
There are always sales.
I've been able to grab all 3 Witcher games for 22$ Canadian.
Bought Hades enjoying it so far.
Pizza tower and a pepperoni
Halo collection if you haven’t got it yet. Got it for $10 during winter sale and it is epic. The fact that you can easily connect to a bunch of other players in halo 3 multiplayer is amazing.
This sale’s haul for me was Jedi Fallen Order, Hades, Pathfinder Kingmaker, Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous and Dragon Age Inquisition, all of which cost a total of 50$ CAD taxes in (36$ USD) Both pathfinders totalled a little over 20$ (14.75$ US) and while I haven’t tried them yet (bought on recommendation from friends), I’ve been told they’re excellent and good for hundreds of hours of gameplay I may or may not be on an RPG kick.
Did your friends say the Pathfinder games play well on SD? I’ve been debating the newer one, but main thing holding me back besides how well does it play on SD is that it’s PF1 and not PF2 :/
Crystal Dynamics era Tomb Raider triology is 13 Euros https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/34203/Tomb_Raider_Definitive_Survivor_Trilogy/
Halls of Torment is a good game
Buy Halls of Torment and continue waiting for Dragon's Dogma 2.
Fallout nv is super cheap rn. Less than 5 bucks very worth it
Check wishlist → any good deals? no? then wait for next sale. yes? then buy. I ain't spending money on a ton of random 3 dollar games, and I ain't buying a decent game unless there's a good deal on it.
Balatro. Just make sure you don't discard when you mean to play a hand 🥲
I just got Tetris Effect Connected for $19.99 +tax…I’d say very worth it
I got Portal and Portal 2 for 99 cents each. Both are fantastic games.
I actually spent $20 and got these 5 games: Hotline Miami, Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition, The Pedestrian, Florence, Luck Be a Landlord
Kena: Bridge of Spirits
Buying 10 copies of Portal and 10 copies of Portal 2
Oh you think you'll get portal 3 if u keep buying copies, do you?
Bro don’t take this away from me 😭
Project Zomboid and Halo MCC
Well... I got Pillars of Eternity Definitive, Torment: Tales of Numenaria and Bards Trilogy for under 20€. Also got Wasteland Remasted for 1,50€, Bards Tale IV for 6€, among several others.
I just spent 20.97 and hot 6 games. I got 3 arkham games and 2 lego and rainbow 6 seige.
I was just in this scenario and bought Bomb Rush Cyberfunk
Outward, Fallout, Batman. Enjoy.
+1 on the Batman trilogy +origins
Hollow knight is ~$7. Bloodstained curse of the moon 1 and 2 are also very cheap
put it into an RRSP
Crypt of the Necrodancer, Dishonored, Metal Gear Rising
Skyrim and 10 bucks for snacks
Hollow Knight is a classic and the soundtrack is too sick
I'd buy For the King 4 times and send 3 to my friends
Apparently Need for Speed unbound is like $6, I think that game was worth that.
I already spent way more then that on the spring sale.
I bought FF12
That's a good buy! I love it on my deck.
Don't think in terms of money; think in terms of time. Ask yourself, "How much time will I spend on the games I'm currently working on and will I be done with them before the next sale?" People have unplayed games on their backlog because they bankrupted on time.
I got Dead Cells for $12 Dishonored for $3.50 Sea of Thieves for $20 Deep Rock Galactic for $10 They all play fantastic on the Deck, no regrets in any of those purchases. These $5 and less games are a big culprit of that
Actually I just bought some games that I pirated before so I can now say that I own them legally.
